So Friendly and welcoming and offering to help! This place is bigger inside than I thought, looking from outside Lots of selection for meat. Japan A5 wagyu is $70 per lb! Lots of wine and liquor too. Also has special events, check flyers near door What a cool place

Fun meat shop with time to chill while scoping for the proper meat. LOL. Great selection of meats and wine. Chilling on a leisure Saturday afternoon with GF after lunch with a glass of wine or two in a meat market. What a great concept. Not only do they have great meat, they have ample selection of wines, liquors, and meat. One shop does all.

I should have asked what's in the meat blend for their burger patties because it was the best patties my wife, friends and I ever had this weekend. I made a fairly straightforward burger but the patty was the clear winner in terms of flavor & quality. Their baby backs are nothing short of spectacular and that was a hit too. I'm so thankful to have a butcher shop like Pape so nearby! Edit: I just ate a 'special' sausage (likely pork) and it's one of the best sausages I've had. Incredibly juicy and flavorful without being overly salty or over seasoned. A quick boil and pan-fry method did the trick.

Went ahead and grabbed a roast for Christmas Eve dinner, did not disappoint! Looking forward to keeping the tradition going even further into the future.

I have been going to Pape meat for a couple of years now. I usually grab chicken from there, probably the best place to grab chicken or beef (and possibly some seafood). They can always debone any of the meat. Service is always friendly and quick there. Usually there are lines to get beef, especially around holidays but chicken side is usually quick :) They even have beef fat and duck fat there

Will they accept EBT card for pay?

We are not currently set up for EBT cards.

Are we suppose to tip the butchers?

You can but it is not expected. We are paid to be here and love what we do. That is generally enough compensation. Thank you for being a customer!

How long should I bake the lamb chops?

Using a digital instant-read meat thermometer, check the temperature of chops while on the grill. The chops are rare at 120°F, medium rare at 125°F, medium at 130°F, and well done at 145°F and higher. Lamb can take on a gamey flavor when cooked past… Read more

We opted for Love and Smoke to cater our wedding anniversary. On the day of the event, they arrived with ample time to setup and paced the service in an efficient way that kept the food fresh and our guests happy. We opted for the links, brisket, ribs as our meats. You really can't go wrong with any of these. Tender, juicy, smokey, and fresh. The sides were also a great compliment to the meats. The chipotle coleslaw was a fan favorite. I thought Mark's carving service was a great way to elevate the experience and I liked that he asked each guest which part of the brisket they preferred. Through the night and days later, we continued to receive positive feedback on the food. We will definitely be using Love and Smoke for future parties. Communication leading up to the event was consistent and clear and everything was outlined so we knew exactly what to expect. On the day of the event, Mark and Kathy arrived early with plenty of time for a smooth and professional setup. Kathy's setup with the plates and utensil and vegetarian corner were so well thought out! They came fully prepared and ready to serve some delicious bbq. We catered for around 60 people and selected the brisket, pork baby back ribs, alongside coleslaw, potato salad, and green salad. For our vegetarian colleagues, we selected the black bean burgers, which were a thoughtful and flavorful touch. A standout highlight was the brisket carving station, which was a total crowd pleaser. Mark's meticulous attention to detail and dedication to his craft really stood out. He refuses to compromise on quality by pre slicing brisket into trays. Instead, he carved it fresh on site and the taste speaks for itself. We received an overwhelmingly positive response from the entire team- both meat lovers and veggie eaters alike. From the service to the setup to the food itself, Love & Smoke exceed expectations. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

It was a buffet luncheon of prime rib, salmon, rigatoni pasta, vegetable medley and a cake dessert which the club provided. There was one tray of each food therefore we were limited to one piece or scoop to each person. The food was a little chintzy as it was half a slice of prime rib and small chunks of salmon. We were able to offer a second helping of rigatoni and prime rib. The prime rib was A little fatty but was tender. I enjoyed The salmon even thought it was small and not overcooked. I think the restaurant could have made up for this if they added bread and butter and perhaps a salad. We were able to stay, mingle and dance in that private room for the entire afternoon which was an added bonus. Everyone had a good time and the staff cut and plated the cake for all. The room for pretty heated even when the windows were open even with the four ceiling fans running. Otherwise, everyone had a fun afternoon. Thank you sixteen mile house!

The middle of the store has a nice selection of Hawaiian snacks to browse, while the refrigerator along the opposite wall is stocked with drinks and a few side dishes, including kimchi, available for purchase. On this visit, we ordered the Shoyu Ahi Bowl with greens, the Hawaiian Style Ahi Bowl with greens, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage plate. The Kalua Pork & Cabbage was the standout. It came with macaroni salad and rice, the portion was generous, the pork was tender, and the cabbage was soft, well-seasoned, and tasty. The ahi itself had a great texture and tasted fresh. However, both the Shoyu Ahi and Hawaiian Style Ahi bowls were already well-marinated, and the greens were dressed with the same sweet soy based sauce. The combination made the bowls a bit too salty and sauce heavy, which overpowered the natural flavor of the fish. By the time we finished our bowls, we found ourselves reaching for coconut water to help balance the saltiness. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean, the staff was efficient, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage was definitely worth ordering. I just wish the ahi bowls had a lighter touch with the sauce so the freshness of the fish could really shine. We'd be happy to come back and try some of the other menu items. :)

Friends, myself, the non-profit I invest time with have all had the Trex Miyazaki Wagyu and to a T have all pronounced it a most special experience in beef. Last time I cooked up some, Mark advised that I cut it into big pieces, simply sea salt and fresh ground pepper season, sear (do not use any oil) in a VERY hot cast iron pan, cut into bite size pieces with simple dipping sauces. Or tartare, nigiri style, a little bit goes a long way. Regaled of tales of visits to Miyazaki to visit the meat in motion, steers are comfortably two to a corral, daily beers, massage and happy cows make incredibly marbled steaks. I added the garlic sauce which gave it more flavor, but I would have liked not to have to do that. Not bad, but could be better. The Kofte plate was also pretty good, but again a little bland for me compared to the Kofte at Mazra or a koobideh at one of favorite Persian spots. Again, not bad but much more flavor when I added the garlic sauce which and hot sauce. Service was excellent. They were attentive and refilled out waters without asking.
