They were so nice! And the Wagyu was amazing. I would definitely recommend going to them.

For the leg of lamb, I think most people get a whole leg of lamb. That was way too much for me and I think the butcher thought I was confused when I asked for less and asked me what I was doing with it. He ended up saying he could give me a half leg of lamb and I agreed. Thar was about 3 and a half pounds (bone included) which was the perfect amount. I seared it and then braised it and the meat fell off the bone. Delicious and the price was pretty good. I was cooking my first pork chop and decided to come here to get it. Their pork isn't labeled as Berkshire or Duroc or anything but that probably keeps the price down. For chops, they had boneless, bone in, and double cut (which was also bone in). I mentioned I wanted it to be about 2 inches thick and the butcher said to get the double cut.I got 2 beautiful thick pork chops for $6.99 a pound so about $18 total. The regular cut bone in pork chops were the same price though obviously smaller. I brined this overnight and reverse seared it and it was great. The chop was a loin chop- loin and then a tenderloin nugget- not a pure rib chop. Cooked really nicely and was tender which I think was partially the overnight brine and also their pork. They do sell some vegetables and grocery supplies if you want to just make a single stop. They also have a deli with some sandwiches that looked good and prepared foods. I was very focused on buying the things I came in for and getting on with my day both times but I would like to take a closer look in the future as it looked good. Solid butcher shop and clearly loved since it was busy both on a weekend and during the week. I'm sure I will be back.

A roast beef for hubby and turkey havarti cheese in Dutch Crunch for me. At the concert, hubby thought the bread was too dry and didn't like the sandwich. My turkey meat was good but I'd agree the bread wasn't so great. I ate the leftover 1/2 sandwich at home the next day and it was better after putting it thru the toaster oven. But I think sandwiches taste better from the nearby Safeway even.

Communication leading up to the event was consistent and clear and everything was outlined so we knew exactly what to expect. On the day of the event, Mark and Kathy arrived early with plenty of time for a smooth and professional setup. Kathy's setup with the plates and utensil and vegetarian corner were so well thought out! They came fully prepared and ready to serve some delicious bbq. We catered for around 60 people and selected the brisket, pork baby back ribs, alongside coleslaw, potato salad, and green salad. For our vegetarian colleagues, we selected the black bean burgers, which were a thoughtful and flavorful touch. A standout highlight was the brisket carving station, which was a total crowd pleaser. Mark's meticulous attention to detail and dedication to his craft really stood out. He refuses to compromise on quality by pre slicing brisket into trays. Instead, he carved it fresh on site and the taste speaks for itself. We received an overwhelmingly positive response from the entire team- both meat lovers and veggie eaters alike. From the service to the setup to the food itself, Love & Smoke exceed expectations. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Sometimes you discover new foods and other times, you can be amazed by how expensive or inexpensive something can be. Since we can't travel internationally all the time, the next best thing is to wander into stores that offer staples from other countries. After lunch today, my wife walked into Istanbul Market next door and came out with three desserts. Unfortunately, we failed to write down the names and descriptions of what we got. Just three yummy looking morsels. We know one was Baklava. One was Turkish Delight. We're not sure what the third one was. I reserve my sweet tooth for ice cream, so I didn't personally try these, but she said that they were all super sweet. Service was reserved, but friendly.

Briny, buttery, savory--those were the scents I was greeted with during my visit here. I decided to keep my order simple, but with a bit of indulgence so I settled for 3x3 oysters, half Fanny Bay and half Blue Point and added the One Pound Lobster Platter. One of my favorite things was that the lobster was pre-nipped and cut to make it easier to get to the meat and they also included a seafood cracker tool as well! The lobster was yummy, and meat the melted butter with the lemon juice added so much richness to the meal. The toasted bun was as delicately sweet as it was warm. The potato chips also had a lovely crunch and I like that they weren't pre-salted. As for the oysters, my goodness they were a delight! The Fanny Bays were briny and full of a meaty sea salt flavor and the horseradish and nice sulfury zing to it. The Kumamotos, however, were my favorite. They were sweet, mildly buttery with a touch of soft salinity, I wish I ordered more! I need to visit this place once again when I'm back in NorCal!
