This cute little speakeasy found at the upper seating of Biang Biang Noodles was a very cool and interesting experience. First off, the decor is so gorgeous and really made the time feel elevated. The drinks themselves were also amazing. I got the matcha cocktail and the earthiness of the matcha paired so well with the citrus yuzu drink. However, even though we had a reservation, it really felt like they were trying to rush us out. They kept asking us if we wanted to order another drink even though we were still working on our first ones. We had a reservation for three and they gave us two chairs and a barrel to sit on even though the other tables all had chairs. This was by far my favorite bar that I went to during my trip to Seattle. If you want Asian inspired flavors that you can actually taste and delicious cocktails where you can barely taste the alcohol then this is the spot! Also, if you have a group of 6 or more, they require a minimum of two orders per person so something to keep in mind. What we ordered: - Jade Lotus (5/5): This was a fan favorite amongst all of my friends. I like how you can really taste the pandan flavor and you can't even taste the alcohol. Definitely recommend this cocktail! - Game of Ming (5/5): My second favorite cocktail that we ordered. Delicious and tasted like passion fruit but the baijiu really creeps up on you. - Yuzu Rice (5/5): Also very light and delicious. You can really taste the yuzu so if you like yuzu, definitely give this cocktail a try. - 601 Breeze (3/5): This cocktail also contains pandan but the flavor is not as apparent as the Jade Lotus cocktail and it was not as sweet as the other cocktails. Was in town for a trip to Seattle and we knew we wanted to try a few places that would be good for cocktails! This place came up as a little hidden gem that is tucked away into Biang Biang noodles. When we came upstairs and turned the corner, you see this absolutely stunning bar that is lit with beautiful bright lights, and a cozy seating area with seating for small tables and bar top. We decided we all wanted to sit at the bar and I am so glad we did. The ladies working that evening were absolutely a wonderful. They taught us about Soju and the traditional drink that it is, and talked to us how to drink Soju and the loved that there were a great variety for us to try. We all get different kinds, and the one thing I loved most about this place is the presentation of all the cocktails. Every Soju that we ordered came presented in a different glass, as well as the specialty cocktails we ordered. Every drink was made with time, love, respect and great energy. I loved the group I was with, because we were all open to sharing and trying each other's drinks, which made for an amazing experience! This "speakeasy"-esque bar is super cool! I love the asian take on cocktails and the decor is lovely. They had some super interesting sounding drinks, I ended up trying 3. Wow, their smoked old fashioned is POWERFUL. The scent from the smoke with the hard hit from a sip of hard alcohol strikes you deeply in a profound way. I recommend sharing this with friends unless you are strong-willed. Came here on a Saturday night and it was super crowded. The tables are pretty small and I came with a group of 4 with a tall round circle which wasn't the most comfortable place to sit at. I love the Asian influence on the drinks here. As someone who loves tea this was a place that couldn't be missed. The drinks here are pretty strong and were pretty good. I'm not the biggest drinker so I thought it was just okay but my friends who do drink liked it. Forgot the same but I thought the lychee cocktail was the best one and I recommend. The atmosphere is great for all occasions - I've gone one dates here, celebrated my friends birthday, and casually visited with a friend for a bar hopping. You do need to reserve in advance with a deposit but so preferred that as I don't like waiting at bars. The staffs are very kind and quick with their service, they check in multiple times but not in an overwhelming way. All the cocktails I've tried here are amazing and you can barely taste the alcohol. Super popular IG spot we happened to walk by - I'm happy tried it! We were seated in the upstairs area of the website that they turned into a really pretty Asian-inspired bar area. Lychee Blossom - if you like really fruity drinks, you would like this one! You get two lychees on the top also, just keep in mind it's pretty sweet (like drinking a jolly rancher almost!) so I drank almost half! Service was great and we were attended to well with explanations of their drinks when we were seated and water refills. Our reservation was for an hour and a half and at the hour mark they gave us our complimentary tea and asked for last drinks from our table. You wait at the front entrance of biang biang to get seated and you can't get seated until your whole group was there. Overall I just thought it was just mid, the drinks were fine but really expensive. The place was decorated really nice and pretty but then you sit on folded chairs that weren't that comfy and you can hear the noise from biang biang below so it doesn't give much separation and takes away from the speakeasy and general vibe of the upstairs. I had no idea this existed, a cute little tea cocktail bar above Biang Biang noodles! But I had friends in town, and they made a reservation for 8 people here on a Saturday evening. I believe walkins are allowed, but for so many people it was good we reserved in advance. There was a mild heat wave at the time, and this restaurant doesn't have AC so things were hot. As a fan of my own culture, I got the baijiu-based Game of Ming and my partner got the Dragon's Breath, which came on a platter inside a smoked-up cloche. Both drinks were tasty but of course I especially loved mine with the jasmine green tea, sweet passionfruit, and foamy egg white. The only small disappoint we encountered we finding out the food options were so paltry. It would have been perfect to have had some popcorn chicken from Biang Biang go with our drinks. Overall, pretty solid cocktail spot to visit if you're a fan of infused tea drinks :) Tucked away on the second floor of Biang Biang Noodles, this place is pretty well hidden with the curtains. This spot gained a lot of attention but I didn't think it was really worth the hype. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance is nice and the drinks were good, but there wasn't anything that special about it and they also have a policy where every person has to order two items which is a bit absurd to me. I feel like most people I know including myself enjoy getting a single drink and that's it - but they required us to get two items each. The only non-alcoholic option was a $14 iced tea which at that point you might as well just spend a couple more dollars and get another cocktail. You can also get food, but those options were limited, small, and not very good. The lychee blossom drink I got was good though - strong, sweet, and did the job. We were also seated at a pretty cramped group of tables squished together. I think the decorations were nice and the ambiance is cool if you're with just one other person, but otherwise I probably wouldn't come back. This is a fairly intimate bar tucked upstairs of Biang Biang Noodles in Capitol Hill. This setup somewhat resembles Phocific Standard Time, a bar located upstairs of the Pho Bac downtown location. I went here on a Thursday night around 7:30pm, and it was not too busy. We were able to walk right in to one of the tables, as we were a party of 2. If it is even less busy, we probably would have gotten the bar seats, but the table we got does offer good views of the front of the bar. We tried the following cocktails: Pink Moonlight - one of the more popular drinks, gin-based. I love the fragrant lavender and the aesthetics - full of bubbles and a burning rosemary as the "cherry on top." Dragon's Breath - I love the smokiness and the show you get when they present the drink to you. I tasted more of the whiskey than the hojicha, but the smokiness enhances the drink. This is one of the more expensive drinks but one of the stronger ones for sure. Lychee Blossom - fairly easy to drink as it is fruity and fairly sweet. There is actual lychee and it is a gin-based drink too. Iron Buddha Tea "Latte" - this is a twist as there is rum and pineapple, so it is a fusion of tropical flavors and Asian inspired flavors. I love the composition of the drink overall. Service is fairly good as water refills were present and they brought up the drinks in a timely manner.
