Lovely vibe! Def make reservations. The drinks are stronngg. Enjoyed their jasmine pandan cocktail. Tried their baiju flight (a chinese liquor--- VERY strong lol) that was a journey, luckily had friends to share with. Staff were attentive and friendly and they had bar snacks. Next time want to eat at Biang Biang- which is where this place is located inside of.

Hot tea in the cutest teacup.

Super cute craft bar upstairs from biang biang. We walked in on a whim for some cute vibes and they definitely delivered. I ordered a lotus pond, my friend ordered a lychee blossom and the other one, game of ming and popcorn chicken. The drinks were soo yummy! I loved mine! I was tempted to get another one but we had to be out by 7pm. It had a great pandan flavor and was so creamy. They also serve you hot tea at the end that I thought was so cute. The teacup it came in was so cute. Staff were really nice. The space is kind of small so I understand why making reservation is vital. It's also so hot up there haha.

Loved this bar! Such a fun vibe, great for date night- Asian inspired cocktails were so flavorful and smooth. We ordered the season specials- Yuzu rice and Jade Lotus, and Game of Ming on their regular menu. I loved the pandan flavor in the Jade Lotus, it was a bit sweeter and creamier which I liked a lot. Yuzu rice felt refreshing, Game of Ming was good but very strong! Would definitely stop by here again next time!

Very cute bar upstairs of Biang Biang noodles. Seating is limited as the space is small. Cocktails are on the smaller side and it is pricey, but I loved the unique flavors and tea that shone through.

This place is AMAZING. Their cocktails are so delicious and expertly crafted. Tea infused cocktails are so unique and not a lot of places in Seattle lean so heavily in authentic Asian flavors for drinks. Pandan is one of my favorite flavors of anything and the pandan cocktails here are some of my favorite cocktails of all time (601 Breeze & Jade Lotus). Game of Ming is also the drink my bf gets every single time we come here (we come here a LOT)! I love this place!!!

    Indoors small and cute

Delicious cocktails Cute small venue. Fun food, K-pop ramen Reservation a must. We called before and told we didn't need one and had to wait 30 minutes for for the wait list. We go off it but had to wait. Reservation seem to start top of the hour and wait list clears 10 minutes after

Fantastic decor and beautiful drink presentations. This cozy speakeasy upstairs from the restaurant has a really charming atmosphere. It wasn't busy when we arrived, so it was nice to have a quieter experience and really take in the space. The drinks were creative and absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent as well.

We came on a Saturday night around 7pm and got lucky with a walk-in, I'd recommend doing a reservation for future! It's at the top of the Biang Biang noodle restaurant & has intimate dark lit seating Surprisingly it was easy to hold a conversation, they played some classics and they also had food options but we opted just for drinks. The service was prompt & there was a very diverse menu for drinks. We were really impressed with even the non alcoholic drinks " not too sweet" is always a good compliment in my book :-)

    Yuzu Rice

Drinks: Jade lotus (summer limited edition) - 10/10 soooo delicious, would def get again. Loved the creamy pandan flavor, tasted like a yummy dessert. The foam was an excellent touch and I enjoyed the lotus seeds. Great option for a non fruity alcoholic drink. Strong enough to feel something but didn't taste strong Yuzu rice - 6/10 it wasn't bad but I personally didn't care for it. It's more refreshing and citrusy, and the alcohol flavor is more evident in my opinion. It's like a lemony alcohol taste if you're into those flavors. Vibes: Booked a reservation and would recommend it because the seating is limited and the space is small. There's a $30 deposit fee but it goes towards the final bill. Loved the Chinese aesthetic and decor of the place, from the water cups, to the fan menus, it was very well thought out. Servers were attentive and efficient. At the end of the night, they gave us complimentary hot tea in these adorable koi fish cups and I feel like it was a perfect touch to have a little bit of hot tea to warm my stomach after a night of drinking. Would definitely come back

This was by far my favorite bar that I went to during my trip to Seattle. If you want Asian inspired flavors that you can actually taste and delicious cocktails where you can barely taste the alcohol then this is the spot! I would recommend making reservations as seating is limited. The bar is located upstairs inside of Biang Biang noodle restaurant so the space is quite small. Also, if you have a group of 6 or more, they require a minimum of two orders per person so something to keep in mind. What we ordered: - Jade Lotus (5/5): This was a fan favorite amongst all of my friends. I like how you can really taste the pandan flavor and you can't even taste the alcohol. Definitely recommend this cocktail! - Game of Ming (5/5): My second favorite cocktail that we ordered. Delicious and tasted like passion fruit but the baijiu really creeps up on you. - Yuzu Rice (5/5): Also very light and delicious. You can really taste the yuzu so if you like yuzu, definitely give this cocktail a try. - 601 Breeze (3/5): This cocktail also contains pandan but the flavor is not as apparent as the Jade Lotus cocktail and it was not as sweet as the other cocktails. Not my favorite but not bad considering I don't like rum. - Happy Monk (3/5): Also not my favorite because I don't like whiskey but I will say that it was probably the most tolerable whiskey cocktail I've tried. If you're a fan of whiskey, maybe give this one a try.

We went upstairs after having dinner at Biang Biang noodles and it's such a cute vibe. I feel like I'm being transported into a Hong Kong movie Service: Our server was so attentive and patient as we were looking through the menu and trying to decide what drink to get! There were too many good options to choose from... Drink: I got the 601 breeze and it was good! I want to go again and try their other drinks. My friend got the Pink Moonlight and really liked hers Ambiance: Its a very cozy and intimate setting. Perfect for a date night or a night out with some friends

This is my favorite bar in Capitol Hill. It's small, intimate, classy, and a very well-hidden. All the cocktails are unique and presented beautifully. The servers are so nice and present every drink with lots of care and love.

Was in town for a trip to Seattle and we knew we wanted to try a few places that would be good for cocktails! This place came up as a little hidden gem that is tucked away into Biang Biang noodles. When we came upstairs and turned the corner, you see this absolutely stunning bar that is lit with beautiful bright lights, and a cozy seating area with seating for small tables and bar top. We decided we all wanted to sit at the bar and I am so glad we did. The ladies working that evening were absolutely a wonderful. They taught us about Soju and the traditional drink that it is, and talked to us how to drink Soju and the loved that there were a great variety for us to try. We all get different kinds, and the one thing I loved most about this place is the presentation of all the cocktails. Every Soju that we ordered came presented in a different glass, as well as the specialty cocktails we ordered. Every drink was made with time, love, respect and great energy. I loved the group I was with, because we were all open to sharing and trying each other's drinks, which made for an amazing experience! Once we were done, we did pop down stairs for some hand pulled noodles, and highly recommend coming for drinks and then noods!

Is it possible to order off the Bian noodles menu upstairs? Hoping to checkout the bar and innovative drinks but also want the yummy noodles.

No they are two completely different venues even though in the same space! When we went we did cocktails first and then went downstairs for food!! Both amazing experiences!

Instagram : @yeapeats…read more I was excited to try Needle & Thread since it's often described as a speakeasy, but the "hidden" aspect didn't quite live up to expectations. Unlike other speakeasies that feel truly hidden, you actually just walk into Tavern Law, check in with the hostess, and let them know you have a reservation. They then guide you to a telephone where you repeat your reservation name before being let upstairs. It's a fun concept, but not especially secretive, and they're pretty strict about not letting you up early unless it's very empty. Once seated, we actually waited almost 20 minutes before being served with no acknowledgement. We ended up having to flag down the manager just to bring attention to our table, which was disappointing given the experience they're aiming for. The waitress asks a series of questions about your preferences--likes, dislikes, and flavor inspirations--so the bartenders can create custom cocktails for you. If you're knowledgeable about alcohol, this is probably a dream. If you're not (like me), it can feel a little intimidating, but our waitress was patient and did her best to guide us through it. The drinks themselves were excellent. Even the shots were customized, which was a nice touch. The vibe upstairs is chill and relatively quiet, making it a great place to relax and talk. Food is the same menu as downstairs at Tavern Law, so nothing new there. The only downside--and unfortunately a noticeable one--was an interaction with the female bartender (not our waitress). Based on the questions we were asked, my friend gave a mix of savory and sweet preferences, since we were told these were just inspirations. However, the female bartender came over sounding visibly annoyed and said, "So do you want savory or sweet? You're giving contradicting answers." The tone felt unnecessarily rude, especially since we were just following the process as it was explained to us. Overall, the drinks were great and the concept is unique, but between the delayed service and that negative interaction, it definitely put a damper on the experience.
