We had assumed that HIGH price= awesome service. Not the case here. There was confusion regarding the amount of rolls needed to install our project. Although they claimed to be very familiar with the paper manufacturer, they failed to warn me that the paper size on the link that I sent to them was an atypical size for Schumacher. Since I ended up ordering the paper at a slightly cheaper price elsewhere, and I did not note that there was a difference in the size, I ended up with not as much paper as they wanted me to have. Paper moon stuck by their assertion that I misunderstood their advice on how many rolls to purchase- although they graciously did not charge me to reschedule the install. The project ended up taking a while. And even though we generously stored their tools up against our home exterior for 2-3 days, had loads of wasted paper leftover, AND patched a couple of paint spots that got caught in the crossfire- we STILL got charged FULL PRICE. That said, the high price did ultimately result in good-looking wallpaper. Installer was likable, talented, and precise with the paper. And for that we are grateful. read more

I have had many issues with painting cabinets. When i painted my kitchen I fired two companies. It was a nightmare. I have built-in cabinets that are 40 years old. They needed to be white. I've waited a while to write this review in hopes that our cabinets would be fixed but we've just had issue after issue. Last October, we had Paper Moon come out to paint our kitchen cabinets. EVERYONE we met through the process has been great. However, we've had issues with our cabinets: - paint peels off - cracks around the knobs - Cracks on the side of the cabinets Various team members have come out to fix them. - The cabinet doors have been removed and taken to the warehouse to be fixed but it seems like the same issues keep coming up but on new cabinets. We have been told this isn't normal but no one seems to know what the issues is. Speculation is maybe the weather wasn't ideal at the time, the caulk on the cabinets caused an issue or improper prep. We waited a long time to get these painted and while our kitchen is beautiful - it has been disappointing to have spent this much money and have these issues. read more

The custom wallpaper for our powder room was a very difficult assignment for any wallpaper hanger. Dozens and dozens of horizontal lines to adjust just right. The hanger perfectly understood what was needed, took his time and did a great job. Nice fellow, too. We hired Paper Moon to paint a client's Powder Bath with a high gloss finish which we weren't sure how it would turn out as this look, if done right, is hard to achieve. Let me tell you.. this was no easy feat. The room had had existing wallpaper and poor ventilation on top of many other challenges. I have never been more impressed by anyone than I was with Gabino, who took this challenge on and was so dedicated to making it perfect for our client. He was early everyday to the job site and started from morning until evening, day after day, working his magic. At times when another painter would have called it a day, Gabino stayed and looked at every inch of that bathroom and made sure it was absolutely to standard- if not beyond. I was blown away by his dedication, commitment to detail and his patience. This company has stand up and exceptionally talented craftsmen who treat their projects with everything they have. Derek came out and gave an estimate right on time, After considering several bids, we went with Paper Moon. They sent out Mason and Greg who dove right into my rather large kitchen cabinet restaining project. Their concern throughout their time here was to make it as easy on my wife and I as possible. I think I need to report that we had a disconcerting experience with Paper Moon. We called out to them to rewallpaper a bathroom. The contact person seems to be a sales person, who seems to know little about actually putting up wallpaper. She pointed us to lots of options and services to purchase. That was mildly helpful. She asked us to send pictures and measurements, which we carefully did. They never sent out anyone to actually look at the job. Evidently she hands those pictures and numbers to someone who converts that into square feet of paper for us to order. The estimate came back sounding pretty high. We lost touch with them, and ended up contracting with someone else, an installer who would actually do the job himself, and who came out to assess. His estimate of the amount of paper to order was less than half what Paper Moon was recommending, and it turned out to be the right amount. I'm uncomfortable about contracting home repair jobs where the repair person doesn't actually come out for a visit to see what's what. Paper Moon doesn't seem to do that. read more

I had never used their services before and I was more than impressed!! It took about 3 days. I could not believe the level of professionalism and extent they went to expertly seal EVERYTHING off so they could carefully spray paint the cabinet doors and bases. From start to finish, I mean from the first phone call, during and after the work was completed, to the final call to see if I was satisfied, Paper Moon Painting was AWESOME!! I have had my kitchen cabinets painted TWICE by Paper Moon. The paint, laquer, which was suppose to be "superior" to other paint is chipping, peeling, and cracking. It's been 1 year. DO NOT use this company for painting cabinets! My general contractor painted my other cabinets and they still look great. This so-called "superior" paint is sub-par, and they took up more than 2 weeks of my time painting and re-painting a year later to try to remedy the initial cracking and peeling. It happened again within a month's time. I have asked for a refund multiple times, which they refuse and instead continue to try to redo the work. As If I would unpack my kitchen and let them waste another week of my time! I would still like compensation so I could have the work done properly. God knows what it will look like in 5-10 years...I DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Paper Moon painted my old worn kitchen cabinets. They look great. They used a lacquer that looks like they were original/done in a factory. We've had cabinets painted before but this finish is really superior if a bit more expensive. It does stink a bit but the guys who did the work were very neat and respectful. They made sure the cabinets were all aligned, etc. once they were done. I highly recommend. read more
