I haven't been here in a long time and, while I'm not sure what I was expecting, I was very pleasantly surprised. In this age of digital, nothing beats a thoughtful, handwritten note, and this store has a variety from which to choose. There were two women working who were both exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was looking for a card and some pretty filling for a box and they were helpful without being intrusive. I look forward to going there again. read more

I was a regular at the Paper Source in Alexandria, VA - it was right down the street from me on King. And it is HUGE! I also love Kate's Paperie in NYC, so that's why this particular Paper Source only gets 4 stars, instead of 5 - this place is TINY! I've been here twice - once during the Grand Opening, and again another Saturday. Each time, I had to maneuver my way through the displays and other shoppers. It was pretty frustrating the setup and small venue (again, as compared to their competitor and another store location). For realistically not much more $$ than say, a Hallmark card, you can get cute, quirky, and fancy greeting cards - singles and in packs. They also help you design event invitations, but I've never needed the service so cannot report on the pricing there. They've already stocked the 2013 calendars - these are absolutely my favorite and they make great gifts. Each of the larger calendars has instructions on how to make a paper craft out of each of the months past, and some of the other papers sold in the store coordinate with these graphics. Last, beyond the crafty goodies, they have a great selection of cool/cute gift items - eg aprons, mugs, desk clocks, small kids (adults, too!) toys, and lunchboxes, to name a very few. This is a great place to find a consumable gift, and the shopping bags and packaging make for free gift wrapping. Love this place - just expected a larger, more spacious location! read more

I just recently discovered that store. But I am already addicted. Not only they have all this little cute nick nacks and gift, it's heaven for everyone that loves arts and crafts. Every month they have different workshops. I took my first cards making workshop with Katie. It was awesome. We were instructed very well, Katie introduced new techniques and left us enough freedom to still be creative and make some unique pieces ourselves. I had so much fun and time flew by. Even after the shop was officially closed, they let us stay, finish up and do some last shopping. And wait I forgot the best part, the macarone shop next door brought free samples. I had such a blast that I immediately signed up for the next workshop! Keep the great work up, it is great to see people that really love their job! read more

No, this is anything you've ever looked for, wanted or hoped for that has anything to do with paper products or crafts. This shop sells everything from unique journals and one-of-a-kind sheets of wrapping paper, to mustache lunch pails and artsy 17-month calendars (that start in August '12 and go through December '13). Here you will find one-of-a-kind cards for any occasion. Here you will find products like journals, sticky notes, pens, recipe books, gifts for kids and adults, customized stationary and more. I just adore the Paper Source! Luckily, I found out about right here on YELP! The employees were really friendly and helpful. This particular store is smaller than ones I have been to in other cities, but I'm just glad there is one here now! They have cute wrapping paper, stationary/envelopes, stamps, greeting cards and novelty items. I also love Phoenix Scrapbook Store in NW Phoenix too, it's getting harder to find unique paper specialty stores, but I'm adding the Paper Source to my list! read more

Love this place! I was lucky enough to be invited to Yelp's Craftacular, and had so much fun getting to play with some of their supplies- from pretty holiday paper to decorative paper punches to the embossing heat tool. It was great to see how much the staff loved working their crafty magic with the supplies as we made our way around to the 3 different crafting tables. We got to create an embossed wine bottle gift tag (or a door knob decoration if you like), a gift tag with a pop-out ornament on it, and our very own Holiday Card and envelope. Once upon a time, I loved to do paper crafts like card making, but have since gotten too busy. But being at Paper Source reminded me of all the reasons I loved doing it before, and I can't wait to start doing some more again. The whole store is like a Wonderland of Paper Craft Supplies as well as awesome novelty gifts and cards. So there really is something for everyone- whether you want to buy a cute gift or card... or buy the supplies to make something yourself, they have it all. I also really appreciated speaking with store manager Emily who talked a little bit about the store's dedication to the environment (their Paper Source products are made from at least 30% post-consumer waste). Their prices are moderate- very comparable to other paper goods stores. For all of the products they offer, the store is very organized and easy to find what you're looking for. The staff obviously loves what they do and are happy to share creative ideas. And they offer lots of classes (which apparently book up quickly), in case you need a jump-start for your creativity. Their motto is "Do something creative every day" and they really are the "Source" to help get you started on that journey! read more

My favorite store!! The first time I stepped foot in here, I fell in love. This store is full of paper and card making supplies, craft supplies, stamps, markers, photo albums, cards, and gifts. Anytime I go in here I feel like I am stepping back into my scrap booking days. The single sheets of paper are a great deal, whether you need gift wrap for a small gift and don't want to deal with a bunch of excess left over, or if you need some for a craft. They seem to have it all. I especially love this store for gifts. They have an excellent selection of journals and calendars, as well as kitchenware, housewares, and other unique items. My favorite days are when the new catalog arrives in the mail. Right now, the only location in The Phoenix area is at Scottsdale Quarter, but there is a new location opening up at Town & Country...has to be any time now. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and creative at the Scottsdale Quarter location, but the new store is the one I will frequent most since I work practically next door. I have no doubt the staff will be just as amazing at the new store. read more

Store is amazing!! I love coming here a great edition to scottsdale quarter! The cards are funny, cute, amazing and one of a kind! Not anymore than your hallmark card! Sometimes I get ideas for sayings in my homemade cards. The items they sell are pretty cool as well like their props kit comes with sunglasses, a mustache super cute for a party photo-booth. They also have classes for a reasonable price. I love love the unique wrapping paper, and did i mention they also make cards cool stuff! I always come into this store for one thing and end up coming out with multiple other things. Paper Source always satisfies my creative needs- they have a variety of products and have a well maintained store. the staff at this specific store is very helpful, they seem to be very knowledgeable with their supplies and can even demo products for you! An employee named Teresa is an outstanding example. she helped me locate the exact supplies I needed and even offered to gift wrap one of the products I purchased. Thought I would leave with a beautiful ensemble of the 3 gifts I brought in to be wrapped after paying $69 for the service/paper. The girl told me it would be about 30-35 minutes. It took just over an HOUR!!! Ridiculous. Then they wrapped them incorrectly. I had asked for them to be stacked and they put bows on all 3 individually. The wrapping job isn't even that great looking. I could have done a better job (minus the bow part). From now on I will just buy my own fancy paper and pre-made bows and do it myself in less than 15!! Truly disappointed that I spent that kind of money on something I could have done a far better job at, especially since this is for my groom on our wedding day!!! read more

I enjoy cute cards, stationary, fun planners and notebooks and little gifty things, and I knew just what to expect when walking into Paper Source. They had a decent amount of 2018 planners, cards for any occasion, and my reason for stopping in, Christmas Cards. I was able to pick out a few packs with cute puns (like one with some Narwhals on it that said Happy Narwhalidays! So great, right?!) They packed a lot of merchandise into this location, so I kind of felt like I was going to knock over a stack of something, but it was the holidays so they had a lot of stock out on display. read more

I went in to just look around and get some ideas for crafting at home and ended up making a Mother's Day card in store with the help from the awesome staff especially Tara! She showed us how to heat emboss and I ended up walking out with everything to be able to heat emboss at home. I am hooked! It's a cool place to get some of the most unique wrapping papers if not presents. But everything is pretty overpriced. Target would probably be a better option and even the staff would tell you that. If the employees are telling me it's better to just go to Walmart/Target, dang they definitely get a much higher rating for their honesty. read more
