My husband and I have always loved Pappagallo's Pizza. Who doesn't like a great pizza and the sea? It has been a bit since we visited as we moved to Rockledge 2 years ago, and only visit when we are having a beach day now. Sunday, we sat outside and our waitress was Erica. She was terrific, kind, and attentive. I order a margarita. It was supposed to include amaretto but tasted plain, strange and had a huge basil sprig. We always get the 3 cheese pizza with a bowl of homemade Alfredo sauce. Both were excellent. We ordered chicken Alfredo dinner to share, expecting that same rich creamy Alfredo sauce but ended up with a soupy mess that did not taste anything like our side of Alfredo, and the noodles were beyond Al dente, they were hard. The dinner rolls were bricks and our side salad had such a large pile of shredded carrots on top, we scarcely found the lettuce. The honey mustard dressing is the best we've ever tasted, and so I teeter on a 3 or 4 star review. Most beachside restaurants were already closed, so we didn't even consider anywhere else. This was only our second time having Pappagallo's pizza, and it was just as good as we remembered from our first visit a few years back. The crust was solid, the sauce had great flavor, and the cheese was piled on generously. Our kids devoured the pizza, which speaks for itself. There was a small mix-up on the size. We ordered an XL and were given a large when we picked it up. We did not notice until we got home. No big deal since we were only charged for the large, but it did leave us wishing we had a few more slices to feed our hungry crew. One thing to note is that no parmesan cheese or red pepper packets came with the order. If those are must-haves for you, be sure to ask when placing your order. Had not been here in a decade. However, when they showed up on my Delta SkyMiles dining we went the next night. I remember it being great, and it still is. My wife and I both had steak and cheese subs. According to my buddy from south Jersey, all Italian restaurants up there have great cheesesteak subs. House salads were horrible...iceberg lettuce, dried out carrot shreds, & mealy tomato slices. Complimentary garlic rolls were AWFUL. DRY. INEDIBLE. Meatball & chicken subs were good. Eggplant parm dinner was huge & looked good but didn't taste good. Love my eggplant parm thin & crispy & this is what it was...BUT it was DROWNED in breading that was overly seasoned...dry. As a local since the 80s, I love coming back to the area to see the changes and new restaurants to explore. I had high hopes for Pappagallos! The menu looked appetizing! All this for $25 plus tip? Rip off!! Oh btw their online menu is incorrect. This meal was $17.99 on that menu. Fine I didn't mind paying more if the food was good but it wasn't. I stopped in to let them know the next day that I was dissatisfied and I apologized to the manager, that I hate to complain but it was that bad. Manager sent me on my way and said someone would call me. :-/ I called the next evening when no one reached out to me to let them know I was still waiting for a reply hoping for a company that would want to make their customer happy. I found the opposite, they said because it not been the "next day" that they typically don't do anything they like to handle it right away in the restaurant, I had to remind them I wasn't a dine-in customer. Long story longer, I practically had to beg for a refund (didn't get it) but talked them into a credit to try something else in hopes this was just a fluke. The offer I got was to come back and they would give me half off my next order under $25 So I got the pizza. Something they are known for..... let's just say it's weeks later and I'm still chewing. Solid Pizza and other Italian food. I've eaten at the restaurant a couple times and gotten Pizza takeout numerous times. Generally the employees have been great as well, which I know is tough to find beachside. My only complaint with the place is they automatically add 3% to the bill that they bring to the table or pickup as a credit card fee. I get it, inflation stinks, processing credit cards is expensive, but just increase your menu prices? Almost everyone pays with a credit card. Why give this great experience to patrons in your restaurant only to irritate them at the end with 3%? I know I'm not alone in this irritation. I have to get an updated bill if I want to pay in cash. We came with our very large family, total of 17 people and young kids. The food especially the pizza was wonderful! The marinara was the best I have ever tasted. The food all arrived it was excellent. It all came out hot and delicious. After we left my niece realized her young son had left his ipad. Since we were leaving the next day, we could not go back for it. She called and they had found it, even going so far as to ship it back to her!!! We arrived at our AirBNB apartment late in the day, starving of course but not motivated enough to go out. The apartment had a flyer for delivery from Pappagallo's Pizza. Lots of food options on the menu at good prices, so we ordered a large pepperoni. It quickly arrived and we dug in while it was hot... sure, hunger is the best appetizer, making that pizza taste like it was sent from heaven, but we had enough left over to munch on the next few days that was equally tasty. OMG!!!! This is such a hidden gem! Located in a small shopping plaza this restaurant is easy to miss however I secretly think it's a local favorite. It seemed like everything on the menu was really good. Some folks at the bar were recommending all kind of things including the calzones. We started with the garlic bread and my husband swears this is the BEST bread he has ever had. Went back a couple days later to get more...lol. Ordered a couple drinks and they were definitely boozy but just what we wanted! Shoutout to the bartenders!!!! I ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and I think it came with a side salad. The salad was a good starter portion with crisp lettuce and fresh veggies. The Alfredo portion was huge, there was sooooo much food leftover. I think it was enough for two people. The Alfredo sauce was so rich and creamy and the chicken was seasoned and juicy. Noodles were perfectly cooked and was overall an amazing meal. We were stuffed by the time we left here. The service was really good and the food was just amazing. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu next time I am in town. Don't pass this place up!!! We went on a recommendation from somebody we ran into on a beach. We drove there pulled up looked at the place and almost made the mistake of leaving. The food was really good and the owner came to our table to chat just as she did to other tables. Their marinara sauce is spot on and exactly as I like it. Very friendly service! Everyone greeted us when my husband & I walked in. Everyone also wished us a good night as we left. They have a full bar & great music. Service was slow, but everywhere in Melbourne is severely understaffed. My salad came out quickly after we ordered. It was a decent salad & a big portion. As well as our meals were huge! It was very delicious I wish I could've eaten the whole plate. The eggplant was a little over cooked, my sweet tea was extremely sweet, & I did wish the garlic knots were a little softer.
