The light show is timed throughout the day and I arrived like 45 minutes early, so I had plenty of time to explore their "downstairs area." Tons of free arcade games. I played Pac-Man and whatever game it is where you shoot aliens. There is also a car racing game. There is an old school basketball game hooked up to an old TV. They have a large projector screen hooked up to a Nintendo switch with Mario and Zelda games. I actually really enjoyed coloring in the many coloring books they had. They have retro, funky furniture, fun decorations, and merch for sale. The light show itself is a fun time! No videography or photography during, but they do a basic show at the end so people can take photos and videos. You can lay on the floor or back in a pew on one of the many fluffy stuffed pillows and watch and meditate. They have great stoner music too (think Pink Floyd). And of course, the chapel itself is beautiful. No partaking in cannabis while in the building. They keep it family friendly (there were toddlers there when I went, but they were well behaved). They have multi-denominational church services a couple times a month where people can use cannabis. There is a lot of nearby street parking, as it's kinda in a residential area, though I took a Lyft. Also a mile or less walk to some of the main food and bar sites on Broadway.

First, it's not quite what you think - nothing is sold and nothing is used there. I wouldn't say it's exactly family friendly for every family but there were little kids there. We started with the meditation/laser show. The room, once the church sanctuary, is painted in the brightest colors imaginable. It's absolute eye candy. You sit (or lay) on church pews that are full of squishy pillows. The lights dim, the meditation starts and the lasers illuminate various parts of the room. Even with the rock music, it really was mellow and relaxing. I don't know if you're permitted to sit through it more than once but I know that I would have liked too. While the laser show and "brightness" may be the main draw, the arcade was the most fun for us. Everything is included, no quarters needed. I played ski-ball until my arm was tired. While my husband played Galaga, I was drawn to the lite-brite. Simple? Yes but I wasn't allowed to have one when I was little and this was an absolute thrill for me. We then went into another room where we played Mario Cart - the game was projected onto an entire wall. There were board games, more arcade games, crayons and markers...everything needed to unleash your inner child - my husband and I spent the entire afternoon doing just that. We're back home now. The few times I have been here I noticed that they offer snacks suck as cookies, chips, gummies, etc wrapped up in little plastic bags to anybody next to the check out counter on a first come first served basis. Sometimes Ive noticed issues with loud kids or homeless but security is usually buzzing around to take care of it. Nice place overall.

Not sure how this title got awarded to me by a bunch of strangers in my class, but somehow Buzz (one of the teachers) thinks that Kyla and I strip. Kyla and I are the youngest students in the class by about 30 years, and, well, how can I say this nicely, this isn't the classiest of courses to take... but for $80 what can you expect? Bring your humor and your creativity and you can get a lot out of a class like this. I scored high on my mom's "Who is my favorite child this holiday list" because I made her a turquoise pendent for Mother's day/her 60th birthday. The same group of teachers have been putting on the class for the past 30 years, and although some of them seem a bit grouchy, tired and pissed that we are all there... I think they have fun teaching us. $80 is the cost of the course, and it buys you 10 different days of two-hour classes and you get to make three different projects: a pendent, a lightning bolt bracelet, and a box ring. This class takes a lot of patience and attention to detail... You will especially fit in nicely if you wear overalls and bring your toolbox full of jewelry making tools.... Kyla instead found me a purple caboodle that is in great condition, and this has worked just great... Except nobody seems to know what a caboodle is in the class. This class is not acceptable for people who get very competitive because there will always be that person who has worked on the sawing of their silver while they were home watching "Dancing with the Stars" this past week, and you will always be behind them, so don't even try. Overall, this is a great way to awaken on your creative side and do something different. And men, don't be shy, there are tons of gents in the class... And a guy that knows how to make jewelry will always get you extra brownie points. Hyland Hills also offers other exciting creative adventures such as: Skydiving simulator, tap dance, or disc golf... among other goodies and adventures. * Star one is for offering a creative outlet to the public that is affordable, accessible and instructive ** Meet star number two, he is presented to the sliversmithing class for allowing me to become an amateur stripper... Hey, where are the tips anyway? *** Star three is for the opportunity to make jewelry on equipment that is hard to have access to otherwise Star four was stolen due to the lack of sexiness in the class... I mean, obviously Kyla and I were sexy, but the process is more frustrating and rushed then encouraging and innovative. There is a camp host that doesn't do anything from what we have seen! (in all honesty - I have never seen him/her) You get free laundry BUT it consists of 2 washers and 2 dryers and since we have been here 1 wash has not worked! So 1 washer for all the campers!?!?!?! Also, it smells of sewage - and when you take a walk around the campground you can see where it is coming from and they are "working" on it as it has caution tape around it BUT we have never seen anyone working on it. The only reason I get 2 stars from me is the sites are big and you have some grass spots. We will NOT be returning to this famcamp again.

I took out the two laundry room garbage cans that sat full for several days. Unable to get rental cars delivered on base and nothing on base to help us get around, I have a class c and I'm scared to tow. I was fine walking but not my family. I am a single parent. No base pool, nothing to do on base. Was informed by handicapped veteran no water hookups for years in handicap RV sight. Walked off base, to meet someone I previously met, to get a ride. Base exercise went into affect. Visitor center said it would last one hour, SPs said two. Wasn't informed ahead of time of exercise, which is understandable, and base lockdown. Was told I couldn't get back on base to my child and we was from out of state, no one else was with us and my child cannot drive. Didn't matter either way base was locked down. Called the fam camp for possible assistance, no answer, phone went straight to hang up. Probably due to exercise. Cried! I know this was a me problem. Thank God for SP Tech Sgt Dailey who truly helped me feel better about the situation! Finally, after many hours, got back to my child as a courtesy. I will never stay on a military base, fam camp again. I needed to get my RV, get off base and get a screw out of the tire but couldn't. Almost full day of vacation wasted. This felt frustrating. Of course I'm grateful for the exercise and the purpose of it! I understand they were doing what they had to do. Other than this, base was quiet, nice. I lost $40 because I let fam camp know two days in advance I was leaving ahead of my scheduled check out. Had another reservation at fam camp Hill AFB. Cancelled 10 days in advance, because I didn't want to go through this situation again, and was charged a $10 cancellation fee and told it wasn't far enough in advance to get someone to fill the spot. I did eventually get that refunded. These two incidences have taught me never stay on base again. I liked staying on base due to feeling safe but I cannot willingly put myself into this situation again. I appreciate our service members and preparedness exercises but this was a very difficult vacation! However, could have been a much more difficult vacation so I do feel grateful. Just know if you stay on base, and there's an exercise that you don't know about, you won't be able to get back on base to your family for several hours.

The art could be seen up close by accessing the elevators or stairs. The artist is Donald Lipski that makes works for public buildings among other things. The staff at the Information Desk were helpful and nice. I asked an office worker for a place to eat near by and she recommended Z!Eat (formerly Zoup!). Tasty food. The atmosphere in the whole building was quiet and clean despite all the offices. I love quirky art so seeing this wall was a wonderful surprise for me.

The Webb building stands in the middle of a very busy courthouse, and a child day care center. One of the tallest buildings in Denver, beating the Republic Plaza at 714 ft. Wellington Webb was one of our first mayor of Denver, back in 1991. The double W building, is the place to come if you're trying to get licensing on for city jobs such as airport/hospital security. Most doors have card readers on them, so don't panic, and locate the very front entrance that is open for the public. HSS guards are posted in the front with a metal detector screening incoming visitors. The lobby in itself is very geometric with conservative art, representing the image of a government municipal building. There is a built in Subway cafe, with plenty of seating and a spacious lobby.
