Surprisingly we didn't have to wait very long for a table for five. One guy came and asked us if we wanted water. Sure! Husband asked if he could order a beer, and the guy told us he couldn't take a beer order. A second guy came by asking if someone took our drink order. We said yes and Husband asked HIM if he could order a beer. He said, "Sure!" So Husband proceeded to ask what was on draft. The answer: "Oh, you need to ask your server." Finally our server came around (roughly 15-20 mins after being seated). Finally! Husband ordered a beer! We ordered: Lemon Pepper wings 2 Fish and Chips 1 kids Chicken Tenders 1 Apple Walnut Salad + chicken 1 half rack ribs 2 sodas 2 beers The chicken on the salad was dry, but then wasn't too bad once it was all mixed with the dressing. (Think Wendy's Apple Walnut salad just bigger and way more expensive). Fish and Chips were okay. Not enough flavor but decent. Ribs were good. Nothing very spectacular about this restaurant. Our waitress was nice but service seemed to be pretty slow. We'll probably choose to try some place different when we go back. I don't think the food was worth the price ... $164 later. read more

I have been there a few times, it has been good, but this last Saturday it was not good at all. We had an appetizer that was a bread bowel thing with cheese and garlic. The problem was the garlic was raw. It did not say it was raw on the menu. I then had the tortellini Alfredo with prawns. The prawns were fairly burn and again the garlic was raw in this dish as well. ( it was crunchy and hard) the service was a bit slow. But the staff was nice. read more

This establishment is right on the beach. They have a cute little patio with around seven tables where you can see brightly colored houses, the sand, and the water. There is also outdoor seating in front of the restaurant that they sectioned off in the street. The menu boasts of mostly seafood dishes; however, they do offer a few non-seafood items such as baby back ribs, chicken piccata, skirt steak, filet mignon, and a good old-fashioned burger. The ambience is great, the food is average, and the service needed a little bit more friendliness. This is not to say that the service was bad, rather the server we had came off a little bit standoffish. I had the mahi-mahi fish tacos which was served on tortillas with a slaw, big chunk of fish which was topped with garlic lime aïoli. It was served with a cold black bean salad which lacked flavor....It came beautifully plated, but if you're trying to look classy eating it, don't bother cuz it just ain't happening... the fish was just a big log of fish; this, combined with the slaw is too much for those little corn tortillas to hold and it comes plopping out as you try to make it to your mouth...the taste of it all didn't really suit my palate, so I would give this dish three stars. My kids enjoyed their chicken strips. There were three pieces chicken tenders that were breaded nicely, and it came with crispy, crunchy, hot french fries. The fries were awesome. My kids gave this five stars. My son enjoyed the thick, juicy hamburger with cheddar cheese, onions, and tomatoes. This was served again with those awesome fries--a big basket. He gave it five stars. Last but not least, was BLTA-- Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado sandwich served on sourdough bread. This is also served with the basket of hot fries. Grandpa gave this five stars. Such a great early lunch sitting out on the back patio near the water. Got there before the crowds around 12pm. Missed taking pictures of the fish tacos and the burger but both were absolutely amazing. Added bacon and swiss cheese to the burger which came with amazingly crispy delicious fries. The fish tacos were apparently great as the boyfriend ate every bite (minus the slaw as he ordered without) Server was friendly but had tables both back patio and street side so service was semi slow but cant blame her for that. read more

I just walked in to the restaurant for my "reservation" that you would assume would be interpreted as : we have your table ready for you BECAUSE you have a reservation: Obviously that's not true, big bummer. instead I was met with the "we have no table for you in inside would you like to freeze your balls off outside? :)" while I'm starring at an open table right in front of my little eye. Met friends here for drinks and appetizers, they have good deals at happy hour. they comped us a beer because they ran out before the glass was quite full. They have a good selection of beers on tap and we also ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer which was good, not too oily. Also complimentary bread and also chocolate mints on your way out. I gave this place 3 stars for the patio with an ocean view and the friendly staff. I started with a cup of clam chowder, it was gluey and flavorless, I kept adding pepper but it didn't make it edible. The bread was great but turned rock hard in a couple minutes, maybe they tried to microwave it? Fish and chips by the beach sounded great, the fries were delicious but the fish was pretty gross. The beer menu is very basic, I was surprised, there's so much good beer in SC. I left hungry, but I did enjoy the view with a nice glass of wine. Staff started a little construction project on the table next to ours for our listening enjoyment which occupied the second half of our $150 lunch experience. I tried contacting management through email and social last Friday as I thought they'd want to know. No response. No more Paradise Grill for us. Hands down the best mahi tacos I've ever had in my life. It wasn't an inadequate amount of shredded mahi, but damn near half a filet on each taco. Service was great. We sat outside which has a view that is just short of excellent (it isn't open 180 degrees to the ocean). Our first time here. We came in for lunch in the middle of the week but decided on appetizers and drinks. The hostess who greeted us was warm and pleasant. The food was fun and delicious--a reasonable selection and choices. Unfortunately, several wines by the bottle on the list were not available to order, so we enjoyed the cocktails, which were very nicely crafted and of generous serving. The view out on the balcony was lovely. They have sufficient heating lamps out on the terrace to keep you warm on a chilly day which we appreciate. Service: Noel was our server, but we got the best service and attention from a young gentleman who was mainly busing, and we didn't think he took orders. Noel was straightforward in filling our oncoming orders and then brisk away. He was more attentive and paid attention to what guests may need. Another waitress nearby appeared to be very pleasant, focused, and engaging with her welcoming table guests. We can't help wishing she was our waitress. :) Overall, the services as a team here were good. Food: Our orders came pretty quickly and were delicious. Our favorite was the Beach Blanket Breadalon (nice twist on the name) which was delicious and loaded with cheese. Our only complaint was the not-so-fresh oysters on half-shell were not adequately shucked. We love chilled oysters and enjoy them quite often. The oysters here were a big thumb down on freshness. We must knock off one star for this lack of quality and disappointment as it was supposed to be our main enjoyment. Luckily, we sampled a half dozen first as we don't like to send things back. We don't recommend the oysters, but everything else was as expected. We will be back to enjoy the view and further explore the fun seaside menu. read more

This beach had great vibes until we actually needed services. Our waiter NEVER checked on our table. Half of our food came out first then the second half came out about 10-15 mins later then they completely forgot about one dish. Then our baby accidentally spilled water & no one was willing to help until we got up & asked. Yes they saw us trying to clean it. On top of all this they AUTOMATICALLY included a gratuity of 20%. As always, the service, location, and decor were great. Honestly, the menu is uninspired (especially given the price point). I didn't want the usual fish or chicken so I was looking for something different. I took a long time to decide. I settled on the ribs that promised a citrus-infused sauce. I envisioned a delicious citrus glaze. What I got were ribs that appeared to have been cooked unseasoned then served with supermarket BBQ sauce. I could do that at home for a fraction of the price. It comes with slaw and fries. I didn't want fries but the only subs were standard veggies or mashed. I chose mashed. The slaw was a typical mayo-filled cabbage. The potatoes were ok but not interesting. Heavy butter and not fluffy. I am a local and really want to love Paradise. I had the spiced salmon, calamari, and wings. Everything everyone ordered looked delicious. My servers were both great Virginia went above and beyond for my party and made sure we were taken care of. Oh my god, this place fell off sooooooo badly. It used to be so good! Now it tasted like everything is being reheated from frozen. The steak was really saucy and tasted really low quality.
