So, we came in to this restaurant being hungry. This place has white table cloths, but no host/hostess to greet us. Nor did the cashier greet us and state that he would be right with us as he was taking payment from a few people ahead of us. When I finally got to speak with him and review the menu, it turns out they offer NO LUNCH SPECIAL. So, its 1:30PM on a weekday in Norwalk & you expect me to spend $20 on one meal before accounting for the price of a drink, no thanks ! Edit: The owners were kind enough to contact and promised to address the issue. We went in the next time and the service was good. Had the yummy biriyani. Changing the rating to a 4 since the owner took the feedback. Giving a one star since its mandatory. We arrived @ 2.05pm on a Wednesday and as per their website it closes at 3pm. Mr.Raju who doesnt seem to have enough qualification, as he lacks basic courtesy of greeting customers told us their shop closes at 2pm. He mumbled something which i didnt understand. I explained that i drove from danbury for 45mins to reach there and they should update the website with correct timings. I asked him to provide the contact info of the owner Narendra but raju said he cant share info and instead write negative reviews if needed. He said he will not even take togo order either. It's fly house than restaurant, if you wanna live love and eat with flies when you eat, you are welcome to visit this place. Food is good but highly cost and less maintenance with flies around you when you eat, not good to stay here. read more

I am a foodie...and my wife is herself an awesome cook...so as it happens, whenever we eat out, we always compare the dish with how we cook that at home and the taste...my wife herself is superb expert in making Biriyani, Mutton, Chicken and several veg dishes, so if I say some place as good..it means really good!! And this is one of those places...be it their Fri/Sat/Sun only buffet or be there traditional biriyani (Chicken/Mutton/Veg) they are soo good...not much oil, spices, chilies, just the right blend...taste is awesome and food always fresh...ambience..is ok...but not gr8..but that is fine....when u have great food....the ppl are also good n cordial...so al an all..if u want superb indian food....go there!! read more

I came in at 9 on a weeknight and they are out of chicken biryani. A biryani joint out of biryanis at 9 I told the manager that's pretty surprising and he tells me we are at closing time that's why and closing time is 1 hour away. Nice attitude. Makes you feel you are right back in India And yes did I mention the flies. They believe in replicating the true blue India experience so you have at least 3-4 flies resident at all times. I complained to the manager and he said flies and made such a face as if he has never heard of any such animal. Way to go Food was decent though hence the 1 star. read more

Hit or a miss. Ordered a samosa and it was raw. Sometimes the biriyani is good and sometimes its really bad. Same with the mirchi ka salan they give with biriyani. Sometimes its fresh and sometimes its stale. So do taste the salan before you eat it. read more

Worst biriyani I ever tasted and I am someone who makes an effort to try biriyani in different restaurants. This by far has been utterly disappointing. I asked for a medium spiced goat biriyani and all I tasted was the red chili. It's was extremely spicy and I didn't honestly taste anything other than the hot spice. Also the price was almost 18 dollar which is pretty high regardless of the food quality. I would suggest avoiding this place if you haven't tried Indian food because you will be torn apart with the spice level. Just simply avoid the restaurant. read more

I've been to another Paradise Biryani Pointe in NY and am happy to say that this place was on par with it. The restaurant was actually pretty packed BUT surprisingly quiet. Maybe it's the neighborhood that it's in? I felt like my wife and I were the loudest people there. We ordered the following: 1)Gobi Manchurian (battered cauliflower fried up till it's crispy and tossed in a spicy sauce) 2)Goat Biryani 3)Butter Chicken 4)garlic naan All the food was absolutely fantastic! They accidentally gave us chicken manchurian instead of the gobi, but they fixed that pretty quickly. The biryani was pretty good but it was quite obvious that they put the actual goat biryani on the bottom and then topped it off with yellow rice. You can't go wrong with the butter chicken and the garlic naan either. Overall, the restaurant is great for what it is. I will absolutely come back. read more

Amazing food..The biryani is a must try here. The chicken curries are pretty good too. If you are a vegetarian do try the paneer biryani and mirchi ka saalan. The service times can be a little slow but the food is worth it. read more

i placed the order over the phone, mentioning the food item was for kids and to make it mild! Also had placed another set of food items asking to be made medium spicy, but I think the person who took the order was not following the spice level I mentioned and we ended up having all the food made very very spicy! Leave alone the kids even the adults were not able to eat it. this is the 2nd time it has happened to us out for the 3 times we ordered food from Paradise Biryani. I live nearby and have eaten here or taken out from here for four years. I love spicy food and love Indian food, and am never disappointed by their flavors and there consistency. I have never been disappointed with either service while there or with the quality of the food as some reviews suggest. My strong advice having appreciated Indian food for over 30 years is to try PBP. For those that love spicy I'd go for medium at the recommendation of both myself and their waitstaff unless you're used to the extreme heat of the subcontinent. I prefer habanero on everything and still go for medium. The chicken biryani is incredible. read more

Had a chance to taste their lunch yesterday. Being veg ordered a veg thaali. Food was hot, well cooked with half is bread, main paneer dish, side of dal tadka yogurt and an appetizer plus a decent size of veg biryani! No way I could've finished it all off! Experience here was never great. I ordered for saag paneer and garlic naan. It was the WORST SAAG PANEER i ever had ( yes it is in bold) and the garlic naan was half cooked or i shud say less than that. Very very rude staff. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Service is worst, Quantity is not enough for the platter we bought and low meat quantity. we did mentioned to serving guy and cashier, their response was rude (what will you expect for the money you paid for?) Quality was not good, it was too salty. We also ordered chicken 65 and chilli chicken both were served both starters were delayed and they served during our main dish, Starters we too roasted, burnt and salty. I would suggest better hospitality, quality and good quantity of meat. Another bad thing is delay, serving time is more than 20 minutes, billing time is 20 minutes. Used to be very good biryani in this area around 5 years back. Now it is nothing but basmati rice mixed with some spicy paste which doesn't even taste fresh. It was dry biryani with mushy curry. Shrimp biryani was a disaster with just fried shrimp buried in that mushy curry. Absolutely tasteless. Not even worth $10. Have had better biryani for lesser price. Not going anymore. read more

Paradise Biryani is not your typical Indian fare that one can expect in the US at other Indian restaurants. But that being said, the food is pretty good and you know it is authentic when an Indian keeps going back to the place ever so often. And as the name suggests, biryani is their forte, so do try the goat biryani or the chicken biryani when you go there (Their biryani is as close to an authentic Indian biryani you can get). Their buffet is good but it doesn't have the biryani dishes I mentioned before which is a bummer - but if you want to sample a good array of Indian dishes, go for it. Hands down, Paradise makes the best tasting biryani in the tri-state area. I always get the goat biriyani; the meat is always good quality and tender and they provide a decent amount of meat as well. What a pleasant surprise. Thought we would try the local restaurants close to our new home. We were pleased to find This place and can practically walk to it on a nice evening. We had the goat biryani and a veggie dish with cauliflower, potato, tomato and paneer in a cashew cream sauce. Fabulous flavors. The biryani came with saffron rice and the nicely spiced (and tempered) sauce on the side. This was a great way to manage the different heat tolerances between my wife and I. They also gave is a side of raita to soothe the spicyness as needed. Prices were reasonable and the service was very good! Food was very good. Biryani was great! My wife and I went there and we were the only non-indian people there all night. They have a steady stream of customers - so that must tell you something about the food! Service was good. They were attentive. Everyone ordered the Biryani so we tried it too. It was very good. One of the worst services I have experienced ever. They messed up our order and served us which we didnt order.
