Because of Covid, I hadn't been to the dentist in a while, so I was really nervous. The office staff is super friendly, and Elizabeth, the dental assistant, definitely put me at ease. Dr. Kolman is extremely friendly and personable with a great bedside manner. I ended up having to get a crown, and so far the process has been painless and quick. f i could give zero stars i would…read more they told me that my daughter needed 9 silver caps and an early root canal. this is partially my fault not fully understanding the treatment plan we went for the next appointment where they placed 4 caps all in one day and had my 8 yr old in pains for two days. i decided i wanted a second opinion so i requested that they email me her x rays. they said they can't do that. they can only print them. according to HIPAA that's false. it doesn't matter what form i request my records in you can not make me come up to the office to get x rays. which is exactly what they did. they intended to put 5 more caps on my babies teeth but the second opinion told me that those cavities were not far enough along for such an invasive procedure. they just want your medicaid money. on top of like many other comments stating that the staff is rude. i was hung up on the first time i called for x rays. look into pippen as a whole on google and who they go through and are connected with. they are not approved with the BBB and there is several articles stating how they like to over diagnose and do invasive procedures especially on children.

Somehow, the appointment was changed to another date after my confirmation -- with no call, no explanation, and no notice. Impressive system. I drove nearly two hours in snowy weather and arrived on time, only to be told my appointment no longer existed that day. When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. If accountability, communication, and respectful treatment matter to you, I'd suggest confirming things multiple times -- and maybe still prepare for surprises.

I absolutely appreciated the phone call that someone canceled. Dr. Nam was extremely personable, with a relaxed but educational demeanor. As someone who isn't a fan of the density, I appreciated the offering of music or Netflix as a distraction method from the procedure. One thing that was different than my previous dentist is that Dr. Nam didn't do my actual filling. She administered the numbing agents and then another person came in, placed and set the filling, and then Dr. Nam checked this. In my other experiences, the dentist always did the full procedure, so this struck me as slightly odd. Other than that, office is clean, staff is friendly, and both appointments took me nearly on time (within a 5-10 minute window) which I think is pretty good!

What I love most is that he always recommends the most CONSERVATIVE approach to your dental care needs- not recommending services that you don't need or ones that cost more than necessary without compromising the healthy state of your teeth. Dr Marks bed side manners are top notch and he has years of dental care experience always leaving me in good hands. His office and medical staff are equally experienced and super friendly to work with. Never had a problem getting an appointment and the few times I needed after hours care - I was able to leave a message for Dr. Mark who personally called me back to see if he needed to come in during the weekend hours to treat my broken tooth. My husband who used to be terrified of going to the dentist now is at ease by switching to Dr. Mark who has treated his dental needs as well these last 3 years. My daughter has gone here since a young toddler and truly doesn't mind going to the dentist because of Dr. Mark and his amazing staff. He has 2 offices - one located at 49th and Pennsylvania in Indianapolis and another office located in Westfield Indiana near to Clay Terrance. His hours are convenient as well. While there are plenty of dentists in the Indianapolis area to choose from, my family and I will continue to visit Dr. Mark for all our dental care needs for years to come.
