My family and I will NOT EVER eat here again. I am a regular customer. I Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and got cold hard bread with a slap of hard cheese and a piece of sausage. There breakfast sandwich comes with egg, cheese, choice of meat and dressing of your choice like mayo etc. When I returned them the owner refunded my money and would not let me reorder. I am so disappointed for I have supported this restaurant for along time. The waitresses are very sweet. Food was okay, the service and waiter was really nice. A bad down side for me that people were smoking even though they have the "closed" side for it the entire place smelled like cigarettes it was upsetting and even more because kids were there smelling all that i felt bad for them would of been much better if there was no smoking allowed I felt like I took a trip back to the 1920s read more

This place has changed hands several times in recent years so I can understand some of the bad ratings. I ate breakfast there this morning (Mexican Omelet) and it was to die for. Plenty big with a large portion of crispy hash browns, toast and a large glass of cold milk. Had lunch (steam table) here a few weeks ago and it was absolutely delicious. The little woman and I loved it. The place looks clean and the wait staff is excellent. Prices are plenty reasonable and you don`t get told how much to tip! BTW: We tip good for good service and that is what we get here. If you like country cooking, try it, you will like it. Great place to eat at this time. read more

They have a pie happy hour. Lol this fat gurl don't need no pie but I applaud the idea and it will wear me down eventually. It's a little cafeteria flavored but a decent meal at a small town price. The basics are the best options here and the biscuits and gravy are the OG king of the breakfast plate. Decent eggs and bacon and the French toast is thick and covered in cinnamon/sugar. Really good service and food. We had the cheeseburger basket, chicken fried steak, and an order of the bottle caps. All were very tasty. Waitress was very attentive but not in the way. As others said, having a smoking and non smoking area was strange to see but wasn't an issue. read more

The service was okay but nothing to brag about Their fried foods were extremely greasy and it seems as though the oil in the fryers hasn't been changed in weeks. It took 30 minutes to received our appetizers. Two glasses of tea after those were gone, we still had not received our food. Paradise Grille - Best in coldsprings - American Near Me - Coldspring, Texas

We eat here once every week or so. They have both a regular menu and the southern/country steam table offerings. Both are good. We usually eat either the vegetable plate or the chicken fried steak, and both are good. My son likes the hamburger steak with onions, and their fried chicken is pretty good, too. Other menu items we've tried are the loaded baked potato (thumbs up) the burgers & fries, which are not at all greasy (good stuff) and the broccoli cheese soup (ordered regularly). The manager, Robert, is a great guy - very pleasant, helpful and always attentive to all of the tables, making sure everyone has what they need. Compared to other restaurants in town that have been here for awhile, Paradise Grill is definitely the better destination. read more

Nice Americana restaurant. Quaint small town atmosphere. We had breakfast and pleasantly surprised. French toast and eggs benedict was delicious. Place is clean and we'll organized. Out waitress Julie B. was very friendly and helpful. The cost for breakfast for 4 plus drinks came to $31 plus tip. Only down side is that they have a separate smoking area that you can still smell the smoke coming into the non smoking area. Overall, excellent breakfast, 1st know and friendly service. Affordable Americana. This might be the only sit down place in Coldspring. You are 70 miles from Houston, it's not chilies, and it's not Applebee's. I doubt the owner of this place makes enough profit to keep from working a second job. Seems to be a lot of reviews from people passing through wanting smoke free etc. you go in this place in the mornings and it's packed with locals. You don't like the atmosphere, take your opinionated butts back to Houston and enjoy Denny's. I've been in when there were many folks smoking and drinking coffee, I consider it charming. Let's face facts, most of the campers complaining about the smoking sucked in enough campfire smoke the night before to choke a horse and then went to bed in their RV with formaldehyde used in the insulation. Quit ya griping, and remember the place has to stay in business when you go back home to your smog filled city. read more

Not good. Smells like grease most likely from not changing out their frying oil regularly. Food tasted very greasy. Went there with a few friends and no one could finish their meal. The service was okay but that's it. Prices are reasonable however your better off paying a bit more for better quality. I do not recommend this place. Keep looking. read more

I simply love Paradise Grill. My time to go is Saturday night. Now, I don't live in the area, but,when I visit family we go. And, it's quite often. I love the steak, potato and salad. BYOB. There are a few times when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned nothing short of genius, last night I had one of those meals - Ribeye Steak with a baked potato.
