Well, this WAS my go-to spot for Indian food buffet, but I think this may be my last visit. This is one of the few Indian restaurants that still offer buffet. They still have a full buffet, but now I'm wondering if everything is actually freshly made or reheated since there are so few customers and they have daily buffet. Maybe they have more crowds during the weekday buffet from nearby businesses. The butter chicken used to be delicious, but this visit, it was just too heavy on the tomato flavor. The raita (yogurt) tasted a little sour, not sure if it was old or spoiled. The staff were the same, one woman stands there staring off into space (or out the window) and eventually picks up dirty dishes. Don't get me wrong, she is very sweet, but it's a little uncomfortable sitting at the window and she's just standing there facing our direction. The guy who rings us out, just sits there at his counter, this time I did see him getting food from the buffet, but he doesn't do much else. Then there are staff that sit on one side of the dining room eating....they seated us away from that side, so I guess that's why. This as well as my last couple visits, there weren't many customers dining. Actually, there were were more staff eating in the dining area than there were customers. The table cloths, curtains, walls, bathroom area are still dirty....and have been even from my pre-pandemic visits. I think that was the final straw for me. This is such a nice strip mall, there is no reason for this restaurant to look like or worse than a "hole in the wall" restaurant. Would I return? No, sadly I won't. Would I recommend it? HANDS DOWN my favorite Indian food in the area. I love their butter chicken, the paneer butter masala, both the butter and garlic naan and then the mango lassi. This is one of the only Indian restaurants with this big a menu and so many options. I am a pretty picky eater so I will drive 30 mins from Arlington VA to get this place. Was looking for a nice Indian buffet in the area, so after some Yelp searches, Paradise Indian Cuisine popped up. So a few friends of mine and I had to stop by and give it a try. The Food: With tons of variety and options to choose from, that was a winning factor. The quality was good as well, some dishes were hit or miss on heat and quality/freshness of the proteins. But it is a buffet, so you get what you get. Overall, a very good Indian buffet in my opinion. The Service: Service was good. Staff came to pick up dirty plates in a timely manner to clear room for tables. Water refills were just replacement water bottles. not sure how cost effective that is, but to each their own. Not a complaint at all. The Atmosphere: Plenty of seating for small and large groups as the restaurant is very spacious. Nothing fancy, just an ordinary restaurant in terms of decor as well. I am enjoying the weekend buffet with my local pal Ren. The buffet is a beautiful smorgasbord wonderfully representing authentic dishes from the north, the south, the west and the east of the country- the east being huge because of the Chinese osmotic influence on north East Indian food; evident today from the Manchurian Cauliflower( photo) and the noodles. A delicious treat! Vegetarians rejoice with 5 different gorgeous options- eggplant, lentils, potatoes, cauliflower and okra. Meat lovers have three types of chicken, with lamb, goat and fish. There are three types of rice creations. A full salad bar. Three different tasty desserts. The fresh food is replenished every few minutes. The fried fish is marinated perfectly and we have onions, lemons and peppers for the garnish and the squeeze. The kids are loving the two types of hot bread, the basmati rice, the mango shakes, the noodles and the chicken nuggets. Everyone eat as much as you like. Happy faces, smiles and full tummies all around as the very attentive and caring staff pick up plates, deliver water bottles , shakes and sodas and ensure everyone is satisfied. $20 plus tax plus tip is a great weekend price per person. At a different level for me, the idealistic one - Paradise is indeed a place of love where folks from all over come together, sit down and enjoy food from all over, laughter and conversations all under one roof. Paradise is my current favorite Indian restaurant. I love Indian food, next to Italian it is my favorite and a few of my favorite places did not survive COVID, so I'm really glad Paradise did, and I am really glad they did not stop their AYCE buffet, because that is how I learn the names of the food I am eating. I love biryani chicken- it is probably my favorite dish of all, and the biryani at Paradise is really good. The chicken is tender and moist, and the rice is very flavorful and packs a little punch and gets my bald head sweating quite a bit. Beyond that, the butter chicken, tandoori, curry, and the other dishes are all very good. The goat curry is very spicy and delicious. One of my favorites is a mashed lentil dish that I do not know the name of, but I eat that stuff by dipping my naan (always delicious) and scooping it up. I always leave Paradise with a very full stomach and a really satisfied pallet. The service is always efficient and my to go orders are handled very quickly. I'm glad it was buy1 get 1 or else I'd be pretty pissed for $30 worth of dry spicy chicken... the spicy oil is literally separating from the sauce. They have Tandoori chicken every day but not on weekends I guest the specialty is the dessert (Halwa). Overall disappointed by the food. Manchurian appetizer : In my whole life I have never seen Manchurian slathered in ketchup. This was the most disappointing part of the food. They fried the Manchurian patty (supposed to be balls) and just added ketchup as sauce (see picture). We couldn't eat the Manchurian as it tasted like ketchup and threw away the whole app. Malai Kofta : Kofta were very good but overall the curry was very salty. I really wanted to like the food here. It's a short walk for me and I LOVE Indian food. The problem is that the food here is way too spicy. I tried asking them to make mine not spicy (paneer butter masala) and now I am sitting here with my lips and mouth in serious pain. I attempted to get the waiter's attention by saying "excuse me" but he looked right at me and walked away. This was a 3 star review up until he did that. We have only ordered take out from here but have been very satisfied so far! The samosas are flaky and crusty on the outside with warm and soft potatoes on the inside. I wasn't blown away by their butter chicken but the shrimp curry is so good! It's very spicy and flavorful -- coming from a person who can tolerate spicy pretty well I must say, I had to reach for my water a handful of times more than usual. The lamb korma was more mild but I thought it had really good spices and it was nice and creamy. We had the aloo mutter curry as our veggie dish - it's basically potatoes and peas with medium spice. One location I am most dissatisfied and disappointed in. There were 3 in our group and we ordered from the menu. It would have been one star but for the excellent Dosa's 8/10. The Tandoori chicken 6/10 was slightly tougher than We would have liked but edible. The Manchurian Gobi 6/10 was slightly soft and looked like it had been double fried and than sauce added. Here is what disgusted us. The Saag Panir 0.1/10 was horrendous. It was stale and I actually throw up as soon as we left. Did not get sick but one of my fave dish was not for the faint stomach. It was slightly sour and the panir looked like it was fermenting. Don't know why I ate it. I guess benefit of doubt. The Chollay 5/10 was just ok. Was more middle India than Punjabi. The Tikka Masala 5/10 had too much cream in it. Like the whole dish was cream based and no "tadka". It was oily from being too creamy. We were so put off. Wish owner reads. A good sign I thought. The buffet was full and clean and options were plentiful. Pretty good buffet options though I wish there was fish. I understand though that fish is pricey and not many buffets have it. Would have been a nice touch. Options were good only complaint - the nan was chewy and overcooked. The buffet was about $14 per person which was worth it. I'd come back. The food and service here is better than any Indian restaurant I have been. They always take care of you ear. By far the best flavors I have enjoyed then any other Indian restuarant. We have become regulars here and eat a couple times a week. Indian Buffett. We go for the lunch buffet. Good selection of food. Spicy, flavorful and satisfys the curry craving. I quite enjoy the food here. Buffet with water to drink is $13.01. All you can eat. Food has a very nice spice. Good variety of items on the buffet. The cauliflower has an amazing flavor. We ordered take out from here yesterday because I was craving biryani and this was the closest Indian restaurant. We ordered one chicken biryani and one goat biryani. The food was ready quick which was good, but it should have been a red flag for poor food quality because good biryani usually takes at least 15-20 mins to prepare from my experience at other Indian restaurants. Chicken biryani: flavor was good but chicken was very dry. I am convinced this is old chicken from the previous day or even longer. The portion was good for takeout and I liked how they gave plenty of white and red sauce on the side. Goat biryani: I liked this more than the chicken. The meat was more juicy and it was also a generous portion. I am not sure if it was the goat biryani or something else but my boyfriend stared to feel sick shortly after eating this. I mainly had the chicken biryani and felt fine. Overall, I would not come here for biryani unless I make sure the meat is fresh beforehand. I would also check the food at the restaurant before taking out and raise a concern if the meat looks dry/old. I want to try their lunch buffet one day because it has better ratings to see if other dishes are better quality. read more

I often order from Baliywood Bistro or Tamarind, both of which are near my house. To their credit, Tamarind seems to always be slow for dine-in (even before Covid) but has great food. Tonight I wanted delivery, but my usual places weren't open after 9pm. I tried Paradise since they were still open. I got the saag paneer and butter chicken. I liked that the saag paneer had more cheese cubes than most places! That said, I ordered two garlic naan and both orders on one side were 80% black in color. I trieed to eat them anyways, but the burnt taste was overwhelming so I threw away 60% of the bread. The butter chicken was REALLY REALLY salty. The chicken pieces were also overcooked. It would seem hard to have "dry" chicken when it's surrounded by sauce, but that's what it was in this case. Honestly I willl likely throw away the butter chicken, and I already threw away most of the burnt naan. Really hoped for better, I'm not at all a picky eater but this was pretty bad. read more

I usually order masala dosa from here and haven't really ordered anything else. I feel the kitchen staff is slow. I don't think it takes 1 hour to make dosas. I called for pickup on a Sunday and just at the 5 pm mark when they open up, was told 45 mins for 3 masala dosas to be made. The tandoori chicken was dry, but the butter chicken did not disappoint and the roti and naan were fresh. A little sad that the chutney selection seemed limited and the spinach paneer was luke warm. There was a total of nine people in the nearly two hours I was at the restaurant last Monday evening. The Taj Mahal beer was flat, the fish fry appetizer served with raw onions was bland, and the Tandoori Chicken was so so at best.  During the entire time I was there not one of three people EVER asked me how my food was or if I wanted something else, AND not one of them smiled, actually the server stared at me twice almost wanting to know how dare I upset his evening.  I requested one of the hundreds of 'flyers' displayed under the glass table tops, but was rudely told no.  I've dined around the world several times over.    This experience was PATHETIC! read more
