I just got a 30 day package deal that was 50% for tanning and I am pleased with the price so I'll update my review at the end of this experience with service from the staff and the quality of beds,rooms, and overall salon.

My favorite bed is the KBI and I had the pleasure of experiencing this bed on Memorial Day weekend. I decided to take advantage of a tanning special and boy am I glad I did. This bed had everything. I relaxed as if I had been tanning on the beach. The fans made me feel like it was a slight wind blowing across my body. Then halfway through the tan I was gently misted with water. Honestly I felt like I had taken a vacation. It was the escape I needed and I got a nice bronze tan for my first time on this bed. It even had red light bulbs alternating with the UV bulbs. I'm looking forward to returning back again.

The person at the front desk told me the red light therapy was in room 2. I walked in there and saw a big tube instead of a large red light panel. I was confused because I've never seen a tube for red light therapy. Well, nevertheless I got ready to go into the tube and when I finally figured out how to turn it on a bunch of long bright white fluorescent lights surrounded me. That is not at all what I expected when it comes to red light therapy. I left the room after just five or six minutes. I could not relax with the bright white fluorescent. I'll attach a photo of what real red like therapy looks like. Don't go here if you want red light therapy because it definitely isn't red light therapy.

What drew…read moreme in were the relatively inexpensive mani/pedis, and the cute 50s and 60s decor, but what keeps me coming back is Dora Lee and how she cuts, colors and styles my hair. On our first visit, she introduced my sister to the Brazilian Blowout that completely transformed her extremely curly hair to smooth and lustrous hair. Though I like her hair both ways, the transformation was amazing and offered a new level of sophistication. My sister lives in Maryland, but she liked this style so much, she has continued this process in her town ever since. She also gave my somewhat nervous niece her first salon haircut at age 11 and worked with her very well. She was sensitive to her and didn't talk down to her. The cut was good and my niece was happy. :) I was impressed with Dora Lee's expertise and technique (makes sense, she used to teach students a vast array of hair and aesthetician services), and asked to cut and color my hair later that week. She did, I love it and have been going back on a regular basis now. It's by far my favorite cut in a long time. I am not someone who spends a tremendous amount of time on my hair- I have no patience and I'm never that happy with it. But Dora Lee has made it easier for me to style my own, and feel more confident about it, and just inspired me to care more about it in general. I think that's an impressive feat! And speaking of feet (see what I did there? Ha), she does a great pedicure but I do have another favorite place for my mani/pedis. The prices are more than I was used to paying for hair, but the technique is better as well, so you get what you pay for-- and the prices are actually quite moderate. The salon itself is surprisingly small compared to my expectations from photos posted, just two seats for hair, and maybe 2 for mani/pedis with slightly limited, albeit beautiful, color choices? I would definitely make an appointment rather than drop in but the appointments are easily scheduled. And although the exterior is quite outdated and unimpressive, the interior is cute and the services are great! I would definitely recommend Studio Blonde to anyone but if you have a large party, it might not be ideal, though they may do off-site business as well, not sure. But I'd definitely recommend Dora Lee if you are looking for a new or just different stylist. She's extremely knowledgable and delivers fantastic results! If this was just a review for Dora Lee, it would be a full five stars! Plus, it's just fun saying "Dora Lee". ;)

Although I did get some good color that came with the consequence of a rash that I broke out in from their beds. I'm not sure if the beds weren't getting cleaned or if it was the product they were cleaning with, but I ended up in the emergency room and on medication for a of couple weeks. The staff was friendly and again the bulbs were great resulting in good color during a short period of time, but the side affects from the beds was enough to have me not return for future service.
