This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The evening started with confusion when the hostess seated us, only for the bartender to come over and tell us we couldn't sit there. After that, we ended up seating ourselves on the patio. Once seated, it took about 15 minutes before our server came to the table. We ordered a Pepsi that never arrived, and by the time the server returned, he still hadn't brought it. We filled out the all-you-can-eat menu and turned it in, but service continued to be extremely slow throughout the meal. The biggest issue came when the bill arrived. We specifically ordered from the all-you-can-eat menu, yet our total somehow came to around $130 for two people. When we questioned the numerous extra charges, we were told that some items carried additional fees. However, we only ordered from the all-you-can-eat menu and were never clearly informed that the items we selected would incur extra charges. At that point, we'd already spent so much time waiting that we didn't want to prolong the experience by arguing. We paid the bill, left a tip, and left. Between the seating confusion, missing drink, long waits, poor communication, and unexpected charges, we left feeling ripped off and extremely disappointed. Since moving to Sonoma county that has always been my sushi spot. I love the variety of rolls. I have tried the whole menu at this point. If you want some good vegetarian rolls I would recommend their tofu roll with mango sauce you should definitely try to the Petaluma roll! And so many more. My favorite thing to do is order a spicy tuna roll during their happy hour and garlic edamame and dip my sushi roll into the garlic oil on the bottom of the edamame ! I was in town to move my son out of his apartment and he insisted we come here for dinner. This was a favorite spot of his while he was at SSU. We were there on a Thursday night and it was very busy. Very rude server at dinner service. Took my 12 and 13 year old daughters to celebrate my birthday and we got the all you can eat. We ordered 6 rolls to share, but we didn't finish everything. Our waitress gave me our bill and with a rude attitude told me next time we didn't finish our rolls we would be charged. All you can eat at dinner is over $40 per person. Based on that, we paid over $20 per roll. What more did she want to charge us? I'm sorry if my daughters didn't finish everything bite, but we did pay for the rolls. This was a horrible experience. There are objective things to like about this place, but I'm giving it 5/5 for a purely subjective factor: "ceviche roll" is basically made for me personally, it's my two favorite types of seafood combined, and it was all that I wanted it to be. It was very satisfying and if you enjoy both ceviche and sushi, get the ceviche roll, it is a lovely combination of those things. Other than that, it's totally fine, it's pleasant. I was impressed that the staff was attentive despite its being a busy night when I went. They were very pleasant and on-the-ball. The aguachile roll was another winner. This is definitely an American sushi place rather than a traditionalist-Japanese sushi place, so if you want the latter, look elsewhere, but as someone who enjoys both styles, I thought Paradise was quite good. Better for a party of 2-6 than a party of 8, and if you have a dozen or more I'd look elsewhere, the venue just isn't that big. Great parking access and a short walk from bus & train. Celebrated my sisters birthday here on a Saturday night for a party of 8. Food was a good sized portions and the reason I'm knocking a few stars down is the quality of the sushi was flimsy and our service. Our waitress seemed confused and acted like she didn't want to be there quite a few times during our interaction. We also had to ask each time what was brought out because one of my other sisters can't eat certain dishes. Came here to try the all you can eat. The service was fast and the restaurant was clean, however I wasn't super blown away by the food. I understand that with all you can eat quality goes down, but to me it wasn't worth it. The rolls are small, the quality and flavor of the sushi and the rolls wasn't great. A lot of the rolls tasted the same to me. Also, to eat the amount of sushi to balance out the cost of the AYCE was extremely difficult to stomach. A great AYCE sushi spot located in Petaluma! I've been here many times for AYCE and it has never disappointed. The sushi quality is good, especially for the amount of food you're getting. The service has been hit or miss depending on my visit. Sometimes it'll be great attentive service and other times our table will have to get the attention of the server multiple times to order more food, drinks, bill, etc. They have a bar, sushi bar, and several tables and booths around the restaurant. The few cocktails that I have tried here were delicious. I always opt for salmon nigiri during AYCE and to try out some new rolls. We visit here 1-2 times a month and we've had about every server employed here. Mario has left a lasting impression, his service is awesome. He's very friendly and has a constant positive attitude. I don't know the dudes name that was helping us out, but because of his service we're not going to come back. Every other time before this the service was great. This guy was tall and had facial hair. He was rude and never bothered checking in on us. He seemed bothered most of the time honestly. Took forever to come back to us for the smallest things. At the end before asking for his tip obviously he came and was being nice and asking if we needed anything else. Of coarse I didn't want to tip him due to the terrible service, but he stood over intimidatingly watching what we would tip him. The kid with the glasses at least came over offering more water. This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a restaurant. We ordered food to go and when we arrived 20 minutes later they stated that they hadn't even started our food yet. Before leaving the bags were tied shut. I asked the waiter if I should check to ensure all the food was there. He said no. When I got home there were 3 items missing - appetizers and one of the items that was in a 2 item bento box. I called to let them know they forgot the items. The manager called me and said the items were in my bag and asked me for photographic evidence that we didn't receive the items. I really don't like leaving negative reviews and always try to approach situations with understanding. Unfortunately, our experience yesterday was very upsetting. We ordered takeout for my son's birthday, and when there was an issue with the order and we politely asked for it to be fixed, we were treated with suspicion and hostility, as if we had done something wrong. I've worked in customer service for over 30 years and have never treated someone the way we were treated. I understand that businesses and employees may be under stress or reacting from past negative experiences, but that does not justify making customers feel like criminals for simply asking for a mistake to be corrected. I genuinely hope the business considers better systems, training, or support for their staff so future customers are treated with respect. read more

Don't come expecting the best sushi in the world, come expecting to eat a LOT of sushi for a fair price! We did the AYCE sushi and were really impressed by the roll selection! Everything tasted fresh and the rolls were quite flavorful. There was enough variety amongst the rolls to satisfy the whole group! I loved the nigiri but there was a LOT of rice, compared to the rolls. So i wouldn't recommend them for AYCE because you def shouldn't be filling up on rice! This seems to be our sushi go to spot, our teen is always wanting to go here! It's a nice place with plenty of seating inside with tables and booths - and outdoor seating on patio. Trust violated. Prices on the bill were all $1-3 more than on the menu. I understand that inflation is real, but please communicate price increases directly to the customer. If you don't want to reprint menus then at least clearly communicate an additional surcharge up front. Sneaking in higher prices on the bill violates trust. read more

All you can eat sushi was the choice that my granddaughter wanted to celebrate her 5th birthday. This restaurant is her favorite place to dine and the all you can eat includes a miso soup and a house salad which she loves . Spencer, our server made sure that our orders kept rolling !!! He refilled our drinks and asked us if we needed anything else . I had couple questions about the menu and he explained the ingredients to me . After eating 2 of the spider rolls (soft shell crab ) and a carburator rolls ( shrimp tempura and crab),I felt like I was having internal combustion from all the tastiness of combinations of flavors. My hubby just ordered an a la carte since he didn't want all you can eat sushi and just ordered a 3pc yellow tail sashimi with side of shredded daikon and sliced cucumbers. The birthday girl ordered nigiri with masago (smelt roe) , tobiko ( flying fish roe) and ikura( salmon roe). For her birthday dessert she had mochi ice cream with whipped cream . Luckily, I am the one holding the cash and with my money I can go to any other sushi place (came to Kabuki) that welcomes customers.
