I called to inquire about rescreening my aluminum screen and they took me right in and completed my (new) screen within 4 hours. Our old screens were all busted and misshapen, in fact they were so bad that I had electrical tape and/or duct tape around all of them to keep the critters out. These new screens and clips, and the new screen door for our lanai, they all look so good and they're perfectly in line with our window frames (so long, tape!). It'll be such a relief to be able to take them on and off easily to clean, too. Would definitely recommend them for all your window needs. I had a missing screen in my son's window and couldn't open the window without him getting attacked by mosquitoes. The technician sent me the estimate this morning and we proceeded with the work immediately. A few hours pass by and the receptionist called and told us that our screen is ready for installation and that the technician will be there shortly. I was referred to this company by another contractor. Whenever it rained heavily, the water would deflect off the glass door of the master bedroom sliding glass door, and run into the track and leak into the dry wall of the laundry room beneath. Re: Screen & Glass felt they could take care of it. They sent Erik to take a look, who evaluated the leak with my tenant, felt confident he could fix it, but then left and didn't give us any follow-up. I had to contact their company by the end of the week, only to receive a follow-up email that the "leak could not be sourced" and that I should seek help from someone else. I called back to report this discrepancy, and was told by Makana at reception that they would get to the bottom of it and call me back ASAP. A week passed. No follow-up whatsoever. My tenant grew impatient. I called back and spoke to Makana yet again. She said she would once again sort things out and have a response "by the end of the day." Another week passed. No follow-up in any way or form. I have no idea what the customer market is like re: demand for screen and glass work, but I found the complete and utter lack of communication and courtesy on the part of this company off-putting and disrespectful. It's a shame so few companies exhibit good service with pride and Aloha. Judging by the number of similar negative reviews on this site, I'm guessing other prospective clients have had similar experiences. If you're considering hiring or even seeking evaluation from Re: Screen & Glass, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. It'll save you a great deal of time and frustration. read more

I started 2 months ago inquiring about the glass needed for a new bay window. Email communication was good at first and then no responses. I decided to go in person and seemed to now be talking with someone who could get the ball rolling but that didn't last long and soon the communication dropped off, again. I give up! Why is decent customer service lacking so bad these days? Is everyone doing so well that our business isn't needed or important? I wanted to support a local business but my time was wasted. I called and spoke to a pleasant lady regarding some broken casement operators and some other windows that weren't quite working right. She scheduled to have Erik come to our home, which he promptly did. I showed him all the windows that weren't working properly, and he said he would order, and drop the casement operators by when they came in. We also have several windows we would like to replace, and asked for estimates. I just got the strangest vibe while he was here, like he was half listening to me. By the time he left I was really questioning whether he would follow up with me at all. So I made he sure he understood what I wanted to order, and which windows I wanted an estimate for, along with some information on screen material he recommended. Long overdue review but considering I haven't been active in a long time but re-activated to shout praises for a great local company should speak for itself. I was recommended this company from a co-worker who actually didn't have work done but met with Erik and felt confident in his abilities to refer me to him. I called their company and spoke to Wainee, who was both very professional and put me at ease even with my long winded explanation of my window repair needs. I was able to get an appointment quickly and Erik arrived prompted at the promised time if not a bit earlier. He went straight to work and efficiently replaced the casement window locks we had ordered from another window company (long story, but the "other" company didn't want to do the work.) The outcome was fantastic and locks are working properly now 6 months from installation. Wainee sent the bill the following work day and I was surprised to see that the cost was so low since she had given me an estimate based on labor charges which was already reasonable. Erik billed according to working time and didn't pad the bill like other businesses do for travel time or using a flat rate. I would definitely use this company again for their integrity, Erik's skill and great attitude by both Erik and Wainee. Great local small business and people. I used Re:Screens and Glass and am very happy with their work. I needed a new screen door and my glass of my sliding doors resealed. It was easy to schedule the estimate and they were very prompt with their estimate and on time the the appointment. The quote was very reasonable. I called to schedule and they were very upfront with me that there would be a minor delay in the screen because they were waiting for their shipment. I was in no rush so it didn't bother me. Because I didn't know the company I didn't feel comfortable about paying the deposit with a month or so wait time. I wasn't pressured at all about paying and they understood. The screen came in right on time based on that they had told me. Again scheduling the installation was easy and they showed up on time! I got my new screen today and love it. Oct 2012 - Prepping my townhouse for sale, I needed an aluminum screen door for my balcony and several window screens replaced. I contacted Discount Windows & Doors in Kaneohe, they said they did not sell replacement aluminum screen doors, recommended Screen & Glass. I called them and talked to a lady about what I needed. She said a rep would be there to measure and give me an estimate. Rep arrived right on date and time I requested, I showed him what I needed. I wanted a strong aluminum sliding screen door for my balcony, on the Windward side steel doors rust out in a few years. Rep recommended a bronze model with extra strength ribs. Ok by me. He took measurements, said I would be emailed the estimate later in the day. That evening the estimate arrived. i compared their window screen price with other companies, no comparison, better price. I replied by email I accepted the estimate. Reply email within the hour, products would be delivered in a few days. Right on time the rep arrived with the new sliding door and window screens. I liked the appearance and quality of the work. Door fit right in place, sliding easily. Rep installed new lock latch on door frame, ensured it fit correctly. Window screens had larger hand grips for easy removal, fit nice and snug. Overall I was very satisfied for the price I paid, quality of work, speed of work, attitude of rep was very professional, appearance of delivery vehicle. I would use Screen & Glass again and highly recommend their services. (I registered for yelp with my home address in San Diego.
