I needed a haircut for an upcoming interview and received a haircut from Stefan Medina and he went above and beyond to make sure I looked clean and fresh. He has a great eye and knowledge to properly shape your hair to your hair type and face shape. He works very quickly and is just overall good company to be around. I am most definitely coming back in the future to get my haircut from him and would highly recommend booking an appointment with him if you need something clean and presentable. Outside of the haircut and experience, I would advise booking early in the day to secure a downtown parking spot that will be close to the barbershop. One of the coolest barbershops I've ever been to. As soon as you walk in, it doesn't even feel like a barbershop, it feels like you're walking into a hip laid-back lounge with friends, you don't know, but a staff welcomes you and talk to you like your one of the crew. The haircuts, are clean how you want them and they definitely don't just try to get you in and get you out. They take their time, they talk to you about the cut you want and make sure they have all the details of what you're looking for before they get started. This shop will get you right. Andy cut my hair and beard. Let me tell you I never looked better then when I walked out that shop. Andy knew exactly what to do with the clippers and then hit me with a hot towel and straight razor. You pay for the haircut but come back for the vibes. The energy was great in the shop. I discovered this barbershop when I was searching for my particular hair product, Uppercut. Backroads Barbershop is the only shop that I could find in the Southbay carrying this product. The business owner (Jackie) was very friendly and accommodating with my ever so busy work schedule and allowing me to swing by to pick up more product. After this I proceeded to schedule a hair appointment to try out her barber skills. Once again she was very accommodating with my schedule and we had a date on the calendar. I do prefer a simple haircut but I am very detailed and meticulous on what I like. During the visit, Jackie was very attentive and patient with all my requests. I am so pleased with how my hair came out, especially after this being the first visit. This barbershop provides many different services and not to mention they have competitive pricing.
