I recently found my wedding venue and on their preferred vendors list was Asiel. I immediately came across this gorgeous picture of a dark, sultry setting with candles and wrought iron gates and was mesmerized. I see it on Pinterest often and had to reach out and see how much this beautiful setup could be. I expected expensive but hoped to be surprised. I was shocked. I only inquired about the main draw of the photos for me. The entry gate, the iron arch, and the aisle candles. Meg was superbly friendly and delivered an estimate covering what I had asked for. The estimate was completely disheartening. Since I'm sure there are many others who are curious how much this look costs, I will share what I was quoted. Entry gates when you walk in- $450 Iron arch in front of fireplace- $750 12 clusters of floating candles in cylinders- $540 if displayed in clusters. Otherwise $10 each individual like displayed in photo ($45 for each cluster) New/refresh candles for cylinders to use as table centerpiece ($72 for 12 new candles) Delivery- $495 Installation- $575 Transfer (from ceremony to reception) -$295 Pick-up $325 Plus tax. This comes out to roughly $4,000 and still doesn't include curtain, tall candle holding pieces, and flowers. They have exclusive florists as well (probably them I'm assuming) so who knows how much that would end up being. Beautiful, but not at all reasonable. My guess with flowers and the other candle holders and curtains puts this look in the 10k region. Too bad. I love this look so so much, but to charge $1,690 for delivery/install/pick-up is just crazy. Granted they are coming from San Jose... but still. Can I just set it up myself?? I'm very curious to see wedding photos of this look to see if a 10k 30 minute ceremony is worth it. Just hard for me to imagine because I haven't seen any photos of someone actually using this look yet. Hopefully someday someone can afford it and post online. My rating is three stars because it's a fair enough company. Their philosophy states that the price tag reflects the "value" of their services that have been around for 20 years. Meg was also kind and took the time to build me an estimate which was much appreciated. The main downfall of this company is that I can't afford it. If you can, I'd recommend giving them a shot. If their professional photos reflect their actual work I'd say they are worth it. Till then... I'm still looking. read more

Where to start?! I cannot say enough good things about Asiel Design - they are amazing! I used them this past year for my company holiday party - we had wanted to create this immersive "dark" Alice in Wonderland/Steampunk style experience, and boy did they deliver! I was introduced to Asiel Design at a bridal showcase put on by Casa Real/Palm Event Center in Fall 2016. I had a year to plan, but knew as soon as I stepped into their booth that this was a vendor worth pursuing. Not only does Asiel do florals, but they do the most incredibly creative event design. I worked with Linnae, Meg and Elissa on my 'Romantic Industrial' vision, and I am still in awe of their team's interpretation of my ideas - it was spot on. The team was helpful, responsive, and organized...it's really all you can ask for as a bride. You shouldn't have to micro manage the vendors you are paying thousands to. There are other florists who do amazing work, but they don't seem to like dealing with clients. Linnae and her team are just the opposite. All I can say is creative magic! My enchanted Fall woodland themed wedding at Nestldown was just brought to life by the Asiel Team. Everything was just so beautiful and unique. Meg, Linnae, and Elissa were all so great and a pleasure to work with when sharing my vision for the day. They executed everything to a tee. Not only are their floral arrangements spectacular, but they bring in other elements to your general decor that truly sets them apart from other florists. Their attention to detail is something that was truly important to me and they hit it out of the park. I was a Type A bride so wanted everything to be perfect and involved in every detail. The only con - which wasn't so much Asiel's fault, but the weather's and lack of coordination or confusion on site the day of the wedding when setting up (really not sure what happened, but it happened). It rained during the vendor set-up and the extra large mirror I had purchased to use as my seating chart with the calligraphy done by Asiel was placed on the lawn and not covered or moved to safety before the rain came down. Unfortunately the calligraphy did not stay and ran down the mirror which made it a huge mess. It wasn't cheap either and I obviously wanted it appreciated. :( My guest nor I ever got to see the mirror in all it's glory under the willow tree as planned so that was disappointing. Although, there was that one hiccup when you think of everything that can go wrong, all was truly fabulous. I was so impressed. Our eyes just lit up when we entered the reception. My bar and bar back all designed by Asiel was so amazing. So many of my guests and other vendors complimented me on having the most beautiful bar they had seen - Wedding goals! It was even more beautiful then the one I was inspired by on a Instagram that was designed for another bride by Asiel. Thank you Asiel team for making my wedding dreams come true. Where do I even start... A little background on how and why we chose Asiel for our wedding day outside of them being absolutely amazing! I have worked in the events industry for 12 years and worked alongside Linnae and team for years and am fortunate enough to call them friends! I have probably catered and/or produced hundreds of weddings and my dream was to be able to tell my florist a couple of must haves (colors, flowers I like and vision) and let them go wild! When I envisioned our wedding, I KNEW Asiel Design needed to be involved. We were aiming for something rustic, romantic, whimsical...and within our budget. Achievement unlocked! We sat down with Linnae to discuss the vision, walked through the warehouse to look at rentals for additional inspiration and by the time we were done had something we were truly excited to share with our friends & family on our wedding day. Her warehouse was really pretty and the room where she did the consultation was so quaint and perfect--similar to her floral style! After seeing Asiel Design's beautiful work at my sister's wedding, we knew right off the bat that we would want to work with her for ours as well. We had one hour-long consultation with Linnae near the beginning of our planning process, during which we gave her a feel for the flavor of our wedding and what kinds of centerpieces and florals we would want. We loved how easily she "got" us and the nuances of our design preferences, and it was also awesome getting to wander around their warehouse and see the huge variety of unique design elements they have! The rest of our communication with the Asiel Design team was through email, and Linnae and Meg were very responsive the entire time up until the day of our wedding. DISCLAIMER: We didn't actually use Asiel Design for our wedding, we just interviewed them. Linnae is some sort of floral design genius, as evidenced by the stack of albums filled with amazing past work and by the ideas she whipped out for my wedding. I don't know if I've ever seen arrangements as innovative and unique! However, they have a $4,500 "suggested minimum", and while Linnae was quite willing to still work within my (substantially smaller) budget, it obviously limited her quite a bit. I came away from our meeting feeling like I'd gotten a bare bones version of her "vision" and wondered if I should be blowing even more money on this one day. Sigh. Both Linnae and her assistant gave me polite follow up calls in the following weeks, which was a nice touch, so I imagine they are great to work with... assuming you have the budget! read more

My wedding took place a few weeks ago at Casa Real and my husband and I couldn't be happier with our flowers and décor from Asiel Designs. When I first got engaged, floral arrangements and wedding décor was one of my top priorities. Aside from finding the perfect venue and photographer, we knew we wanted someone who was reputable in the business. My husband and I met with at least 4 other florist before stumbling upon Asiel Design. I remember when I first saw Asiel Design webpage, I was immediately blown away at how beautiful some of Linnae's work was. In the beginning, I was hesitant about booking a consultation because I thought Linnae work looks expensive and that I wasn't going to be able to afford her--- but this is not true at all. All of Linnae's work are quality pieces; she has the skill of making things look more expensive than they really are. My suggestion to future brides BEFORE you meet with Linnae: Talk to other potential florist before booking your consultation with Linnae. I spoke to 4 other florist before I met Linnae. By then you should have a clear understanding of your wedding color, themes, and what types of flowers you like or dislike. Bring in lots of pictures - she will help bring your vision out. It's important to come to her meeting prepared because she offers a one time free initial consultation. Try your best to bring your significant other, because if you set up a second consult I believe she charges something like $100/ hour. I know ...that sucks..but time is money and she's a well sought after woman. Depending on how simple or extravagant your wedding is...be prepared to sit in her beautiful office for 1.5 to 2.5 hours. I think I spent like 2 hours sitting in her office going over my design concept. This might seem long but it really wasn't--She was really nice and it was like chit chatting to a friend. Talking about her office... you know something is the REAL DEAL when you walk in and her ENTIRE warehouses are wedding décor items. I think part of the reason why her prices are fair and not extremely expensive compared to other companies is the fact that she own so many wedding décor items... that she can rent them out at affordable prices. I can't think of anything that her company doesn't have. Reading past yelp reviews, some say that Asiel Design is over priced... I disagree with this. I think their prices are FAIR. I cannot say that they are affordable, however their work are exceptional, quality, and breathtaking. You really get what you pay for. It really doesn't hurt to book a consult and see what they have to offer... you'll be surprise like me to learn that her prices are a little more affordable compared to Nicole Ha, Nancy Liu Chin, and The Flower House. On top of that you get so much more, Linnae was nice enough to throw in some free rental items for us, and tweaked some of the rental items numbers around so we could stay within our budget. One last suggestion to future brides: If you could afford it, pay for a prototype of your wedding centerpiece flowers. Looking back I was very thorough with all the flowers that I liked and dislike at our initial meeting; however 9 months later when I saw my prototype for the first time, I was little disappointed because it has some flowers that were on the "dislike" list. I think that was the only time I felt a little unhappy. However after voicing my concerns to Linnae, she was very apologetic and professional about it. She reassured me that those flowers will not be in the centerpieces and touched base with me on other flower substitutes for them. On the day of my wedding, every single centerpiece look phenomenal! It was hard for me to believe that it was my own wedding. I recently got married at Casa Real and Asiel Designs was one of the venues preferred vendors, after working with them, I can see why! From the day the I first met Linnae, well over a year ago, she was very attentive to what I wanted. While we were just going in for an initial consult and were only looking for a florist, Linnae offered for coordination services, so we weren't just going flowers, but she had help our full wedding vision come to mind. She took the few photos and ideas I had and ran with it. By the time we came back for our 2nd visit, she had a full power point presentation to show us and we were blown away. It was everything we wanted, while still being respectful of the budget we had told her we would like to stay within. The day of the wedding came and I was blown away, by what I saw. Everything was beautiful!! Not only was I blown away, but all my guest kept commenting on how gorgeous all the flowers were. You will literally sit with her for 2 hours dicussing your color scheme, the overall look and feel of your day, flowers you like and dislike, how to get pricey flowers you want within your budget, etc. TIP: Since this consultation is FREE, utilize this time with her to the best of your advantage. Be prepared - Look through wedding blogs, Pinterest, and talk with other vendors prior to your meeting with Linnae, so you can get ideas and know what you like. If you decide to go with Asiel Design, you'll be thankful you did. You'll walk into their office/warehouse impressed by all their beautiful decor and inventory. I didn't use them, but they have tons of extra rental pieces - old letters, trunks, suitcases, furniture, etc. I had a consultation with another highly sought after florist, and they had really great ideas and tips, but Asiel Design was able to work with my budget a little more and still carry out my vision. Once you decide to go with Asiel Design, you can make any changes to your design, ask questions, etc. through phone or email with Meg, the Operations & Production Manager. She's so nice and easy to work with! On my wedding day, the florals were GORGEOUS. I could not stop gawking at my lovely blush pink peonies bouquet. The bridemaids' bouquets were beautful and perfect - exactly what I envisioned. The sandblasted manzanita trees at my reception turned out pretty darn awesome. Asiel Design is simply AMAZINGGGG. I can not believe still how beautiful everything turned out for my wedding. I was referred to Asiel Design by my wedding planner and as they were my third meeting/estimate that I was looking at, IM SO GLAD I CHOSE THEM! Asiel Design is not just florals, they have this whole design concept they help you with. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Linnae and she took notes of all my scrambling thoughts and wishes. Then, the day we went through our whole proposal, she literally took us step by step, flower by flower from start to finish of our whole day. From beginning to end, she explained (and showed us on many slideshow pages) where the flowers would go, what flowers could be re-used and placed in another location, what could add that great little touch, where to save money, I mean she blew my mind away! Meg, is also so helpful and thoughtful! Everybody there communicates so well and works as a team that it really is nice to have a vendor like that for your wedding. They are *super* understanding that you have a million things on your plate. When I saw my flowers on my wedding day, I couldn't believe it. I did have sample centerpieces done prior to my wedding to do a mock-up with my linens and chairs but seeing it all together at my wedding, was so beautiful! Asiel Designs does ALLLL kids of events, anytime I stopped by their shop, they were always working on some sort of magical event- therefore, they have tons of things you can rent from them. These rental pieces are awesome pieces that can bring your whole design concept together, and you don't have to pay full retail price for them. They do AMAZING WORK!... I can't stress that enough. When you're planning a huge event or wedding (our wedding had about 200 people), you want to work with a company that KNOWS how to work an event. This entails everything from a wonderful first meeting, handling finances, communication, doing a beautiful job setting up and cleaning up, details, details details........ I was thinking flowers would be the area I tried to save budget on, but I couldn't help it once I saw Asiel Designs. I talked to multiple florists, but I knew that booking with Asiel would get the most out of the money spent. Going through their free 2 hour consultation BEFORE booking them, I was confident they would deliver my vision. Linnae knew immediately my style and was able to give great suggestions. Meg was easy to work with as she helped with all my logistics and design questions. The flowers were absolutely stunning and I was completely WOWed when I walked into the ballroom for the first time as the centerpieces blew me away. All of the items were larger than I thought it would be, including my bouquet. It's clear they take pride in every event they do and they are worth every penny. Asiel Designs did the floral arrangements for my ceremony and wedding reception in September 2014. I met Linnae at a bridal show and instantly fell in love with her artistic floral designs. During my consultation, she was very thorough in asking what flowers I liked and didn't like and even had pictures of them so that I could identify them if I was not familiar with their names. She asked what kind of theme or how I envisioned my wedding and created sample floral arrangements based on my description. I instantly loved her ideas and knew right away that I wanted Asiel to do all the flowers for my wedding. I booked Linnae more than a year in advance because that's how much I loved her work. When it came closer to the wedding, I wanted to make a few changes regarding color of centerpieces and adding more flowers to my ceremony. Meg helped me make all those changes and was very accommodating. Everything that I had wanted was executed perfectly on my wedding day. Although the price was a little higher than what I initially budgeted for flowers, I felt that it was worth every penny since the venue looked gorgeous with all her decorations. We got married at the Palm Event Center in September 2016. Asiel is one of the preferred vendors for Palm Event Center. We worked with Linnae, and we were very impressed how professional and courteous she was. Throughout the flower planning process, we made several changes and Linnae accommodated all of our changes. She had a lot of good suggestions and ideas for the arrangements. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. The ceremony and reception rooms looked fantastic and better than we could have imagined. Asiel also accommodated us by storing the flowers for a couple of days after the wedding. We really appreciated this as this gave us a couple of days to spend with our family after our wedding and didn't have to rush to pick up the flowers (we wanted to donate them afterwards). Linnae and her team at Asiel Design was THE BEST thing to happen to our wedding planning process! The floral design was my top priority in planning our dream wedding, and from our very first meeting I was positive Linnae was the perfect florist for us! Linnae is incredibly patient, honest, and was truly invested in creating something unique and sensational. I cried (happy tears) when I saw the venue for the first time. Linnae took everything I wished for, and made it better than I dreamed possible!! My mother, who helped significantly in our wedding planning, and I are extremely detail oriented. BEFORE we came into contact with Asiel Design and Linnae, we researched and consulted with numerous top florists. The floral design process PRIOR TO Linnae, was difficult and heart wrenching. My floral design dream centered around using candelabras with real flames, and I was crushed when another florist dismissed the idea, stating fire code as the reason. During a lengthy consultation with a florist, (again, prior to us finding Linnae), the florist summarized my look as "garden" feeling, and it was then that I knew we were not on the same page, at all. And then we met Linnae....and everything changed. Gorgeous Candelabras using real flames? Absolutely!! She owns them, in addition to a HUGE selection of other props that fill their warehouse. Did Linnae "get" my floral vision? She nailed it! On the drive home from our first consultation with Linnae, I looked at my mom and said, "Linnae described exactly what I was dreaming of, even when I couldn't find the words to explain it. It's like she pulled the ideas right out of my head." From that point forward, Linnae was our "guiding light". Throughout numerous emails and conference calls, Linnae was absolutely outstanding in helping us plan every detail to ensure success. One of the things I loved most about working with Linnae is that she truly listened to all of our ideas and the overall vision we were striving for. During the planning process, we quickly realized that lighting was a very important part of the design success. The best decision we made was to turn the lighting management over to Linnae. We knew we wanted a romantic atmosphere, and Linnae worked directly with the lighting vendor to achieve exactly that. The florals were breathtaking, but when just the right amount and type of light was added in all the right places, the venue was transformed into a magical dreamy space. One of the most challenging parts of planning a wedding, can be the budget. Linnae makes the floral budget easy and straight forward so there are no surprises. Throughout the entire process she kept us updated with prices as we tweaked design elements. She was so fantastic about helping us get the "most look for our money". My husband and I were recently married on 2/21/15 at Casa Real and worked with Asiel design as the florist for our special day. We met Linnae back in August and immediately knew after seeing her work that we wanted her to arrange our flowers, and stage our head table and wedding ceremony. We signed our deposit check at our first meeting. Linnae was very helpful throughout the process, providing pictures of her past works and ideas for inspiration, as well as showing pictures of the flowers within our budget to ensure we'd be comfortable with the overall outcome. Additionally, Linnae provided insightful information regarding how to re-purpose items from the ceremony to the reception, and ways to make our centerpieces stand out in comparison to the typical arrangement. My favorite place to go for events!!! Asiel Design is amazing! They are creative, talented, and affordable. They consistently create atmospheres that are so beautiful I would love to actually live in them. The catering is always excellent with lot's of choices for vegetarians and meat eaters alike.
