TLDR; Jennie & LLB team was absolutely the best! After having gone through a horrible experience with our previous coordinator - who we had to cut ties with during the wedding planning process - we were in search of a new coordinator who we could rely on. Then Jennie came along! Because we were so traumatized by our previous coordinator, we were extra careful and skeptical of all coordination vendors but Jennie proved us wrong. She was extremely considerate, warm, thoughtful, detailed, and personable. We could feel how much she cared about us and our wedding and it was truly our best decision to trust her with our special day! Although we hired Jennie for the "day-of-coodination" which covers 3-months leading up to the wedding, she stepped in way before that and met with us to touch base on everything and to keep everything in check. As a type A person, I was so anxious but she was the perfect (!!) coordinator who exceeded all my expectations. The package we booked with her came with an assistant coordinator, Helen, and she was also so sweet and amazing. Both ladies truly stayed on top of everything and made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process, including our zoom meetings, final walkthrough, rehearsal day, and our wedding day! Not only did they come early on the day of the wedding to coordinate all the vendors, making sure everyone came on time, they also stayed until the very end to also ensure that everything was cleaned up and ready to be closed out. We couldn't believe that it was LLB's first time at our wedding venue because they were so on top of everything and extremely professional. We could go on and on but needless to say, Jennie and Helen were the sweetest, organized, detailed, responsive, and the absolute best (as our vendor and as people!). We hired Jennie from LLB for both wedding coordination and florals, and she was incredible. Super Type A in the best way: organized, responsive, and always on top of every little detail. She spent hours on the phone with us leading up to the big day, ensuring everything was covered and nothing slipped through the cracks. The florals were stunning. Oh my goodness!!! I don't even know where to start, Sandy and her team truly delivered the wedding florals of my dream. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful, but Sandy is so patient and kind. She was understanding with what our vision and budget was, and truly brought my floral dreams to life! Brian and I were amazed by the floral set up at our ceremony site and at our reception. We were truly blown away and could not have imagined anyone else as part of our floral team. What we were looking for was something very specific. Light, airy, feminine, and Korean inspired floral arrangements. As our wedding was majority Vietnamese influenced, I really wanted to incorporate the Korean aesthetic into our decor and Sandy did such an amazing job! The flowers were a true statement piece at our wedding and brought together every single element. The LLB team is absolutely fantastic and I can't stress it enough. Unfortunately, I was one of those brides who forgot about a wedding coordinator until I started to plan the actual day timeline of my reception. Kim and Jennie graciously accepted me 2 weeks before my wedding and their impact was immense. They were extremely responsive and patient with us the entire time. Kim had a meeting with my husband and I, and my husband felt as if alll the weight on his shoulder was lifted immediately after. My reception had a guest list of ~270 people. Kim and Sandy helped coordinate my day and they were the reason everything ran smoothly. My husband and I did not think we would enjoy our own wedding, but there was not one moment that day that we felt stressed. We genuinely had a blast the entire time. We did have a couple problems throughout the reception, but Kim and Sandy were able to swiftly take care of them without it impacting our fun/ us noticing. Truly my one regret was not contacting them sooner, so if you're having any debate on whether to work with LLB, do it. read more

Jennie went above and beyond to make sure my wedding went according to plan and it turned out even better than I could have every imagined! As the groom, I was skeptical about hiring a wedding coordinator since I thought I could do it all myself... TURNS OUT I WAS WRONG. Good thing my wife had a much better idea of how hard wedding coordinating actually is and turned to Love Life & Bloom. They helped us create a timeline for our tea ceremony and wedding ceremony, finalized vendor responsibilities, created floral arrangements, and was on day of to take care of all logistical/last minute issues. I am extremely pleased with Jennie's team and they really made our wedding one to remember. I don't plan to ever get married again, but if I do, Jennie will be the first person I'll call! 10/10 would recommend! read more

I'm grateful to have Jennie and her team as our wedding day-of coordinators. I honestly didn't know how essential it was until I worked with them. Jennie was very organized where it felt like I was the one lacking. She had her charts, tables, timeline all ready to be filled. She would set up zoom meetings and go over everything so I would have a better understanding. She thought of things that I would have never thought about. It was really all about the details in which she was focused on. I loved that she basically had answers for everything and if she didn't, she wouldn't mind reaching out to the vendors on my behalf. I can be a Type A person at times, but she was patient with me and guided me through all of this wedding process. I didn't know how much thought goes into a wedding until I worked with Jennie. On my wedding day, Jennie was the first one present at the venue ready to start the day. For any questions or concerns, Jennie would handle it. Even though there were delays due to late guest arrival, she still managed to make changes and ensure that the essential parts of our day were included. We ended up finishing on time so that was great! Her assistant Kim was also there so help us with all of the decor set up. She was very helpful and ensured that everything looked perfect. Their teamwork is amazing. I would recommend Jennie and Kim for all of your wedding coordinating needs. We worked with Jennie and the LLB team for both day-of coordination and florals for our wedding this past May. We have already recommended her to all of our engaged friends and family! Words cannot capture how amazing Jennie is. In the beginning, we didn't think we needed that much help, but as it got down to the wire in the final 1-2 months, it became apparent just how important it is to have someone like Jennie keeping things running smoothly. She is extremely professional, experienced, knowledgable, organized, and communicative. She was on top of every single detail and question that we had along the way and so thorough with how she took care of things. Jennie set aside countless hours for virtual meetings, which were hard to incorporate into our busy schedules, but we ended up being so grateful for all of the one-on-one time that she gave us. She also has tons of resources (homework) for couples to help with the planning process. They ended up being essential, so please do not skip it!! Something that many couples don't think about is how well their coordinator communicates with family, vendors, and other guests. Jennie was so warm and respectful of everyone involved in the process, and helped immensely with keeping both sides happy and harmonious. Throughout the planning, all of our vendors commented independently to us that they were impressed with Jennie as a wedding coordinator compared to others they have worked with in the past and loved working with her. Regarding florals, Jennie and LLB again went above and beyond. We talked through my vision for florals, which were very important to me, and she brought it to life flawlessly. While getting ready at the venue, I could not stop smiling watching her team put everything together. The good: I got sympathy flowers from here that were absolutely gorgeous and unique. The arrangement was modern and looked more to be the type you'd want displayed at a wedding. My aunt thought my flower arrangement was fake and was shocked when she came up close and realized that all of the big and perfect flowers were all real. The colors in each flower complimented the other and the shape was natural and pretty. The arrangement was specific for the sympathy occasion but we still used them to adorn our makeshift home altar. I liked that the vase was ceramic rather than the typical see-thru glass ones you get from most other florists. The bad: The flower arrangements are pricey and start at $100 (but appropriately so). You get what you pay for with these! The interesting: They encourage one week in advance for orders. read more

Jennie and the rest of the LLB team DELIVERED for my September 2021 wedding in Woodside. From my first conversation with her and my wedding planner I knew they were able to execute what I was visioning for my floral. Jennie helped me understand exactly what I needed to make my day look complete. Because my venue was beneath the redwoods I knew I didn't need much, my vision was "less is more;" I wanted to enhance the space. Floral is not cheap and although I had a budget I didn't want to skimp on making the day look perfect. During my final walk through we didn't realize how big the ceremony space was and she shared her thoughts from the initial proposal, although she said we could make it work with the original proposal I wanted to add more and she was able to make it happen so last minute. Just take a look at my pics at how amazing LLB did! I also loved my bouquet! I sent her pictures of inspiration and asked specifically to use orchids. Jennie is so wonderful! We worked with her as the florist for our wedding. She was responsive and was able to change things based on our needs. She asked all the right questions to get my vision for the wedding and I was just so happy with how it turned out. We had an issue during the wedding where I had forgotten to order ring boy flowers, and I had one of my friends talk to her since I was so busy on the day of and she was able to whip up something quick for the boys. I have been lucky enough to receive several bouquets from Love, Life & Bloom and have sent a few bouquets to others. Each one has been so beautiful! Deliveries have always been very smooth and I love that they text photos once delivered. I knew I had to go with LLB for my wedding flowers. I had a micro-wedding at a garden venue so I didn't need too many flowers - I went with a bouquet, a boutonniere for my husband-to-be, and loose cake flowers. We coordinated everything via email and on the day of I picked up the flowers at their location. My bouquet was beyond gorgeous. The boutonniere was the perfect touch to my husband's suit and the cake flowers matched. I was so impressed. Very late review - I reached out to Jennie a year out before my wedding and although I did not initially booked her as a MOC she helped me with all the questions I may have had, suggested a whole bunch of vendors to help with wedding planning, and gave me a lot of useful tips. Like majority of the brides, I initially did not think I needed a wedding planner but soon after 4 months before the wedding my husband suggested we needed one to take some stress off of this wanna be DIY Bride & etc. Jennie was nice enough to give us a discount on her MOC package since I did reach out a year in advance. Wedding planning was so much fun with Jennie, she went over the timeline a week before the wedding and made sure everyone was on the same page. Having her speak viet was also a plus to help our parents get with the program as I am not fluent. On the wedding day she made sure everything went smoothly and in a timely manner. LLB did the florals and coordination for a handful of my best friends' weddings and several other weddings I had attended and everything was executed so perfectly. So, I definitely knew I wanted to reach out to them and see if they could help with mine for florals and partial coordination. I met with Jennie and Ruth over the phone a number of times and had also done 2-3 site visits as they had not worked at The Mint (my venue) before. And throughout the 7 months of planning, they were always available via email or text. A week before my wedding, weather reports were showing three storms occurring during my wedding timeframe (which is so rare in October and in SF) and with more than half of my wedding outside, I started to feel stressed for the first time during the entire planning process. Jennie, Ruth, and the rest of my amazing vendor team really came together to provide options for Plan A, B, and C. Even with a tent shortage and with the last minute timeline, Jennie and Ruth were able to find the only tent available to fit my venue's large courtyard and it really turned out so beautifully! The rain actually added to a cozy and romantic ambiance! Ruth, Jennie, Ariana, and Rachel really helped the day of go so well and stress free for us, and if anything did happen to not go as scheduled I had no idea because they were so calm, organized, and professional and worked hard to ensure that everything was seamless! Also, Jennie completely understood my overall vision and the florals turned out better than I could have ever imagined! I remember walking into the ceremony room and thinking OMG (I think I may have even said that outloud, lol) because the florals were so beautiful! We had Jennie as our DOC for our September 1st wedding at Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose, and she was so great! Throughout the entire process, Jennie was responsive, helpful, and action-oriented. We were originally paired with Truc as our DOC, but when an issue arose with Truc's availability, Jennie didn't hesitate to jump in and take the reins, which I know must have been a heavy lift for a holiday weekend. These flower arrangements are beautiful! I received a lush vase for graduation and it was amazing. The lush vase comes in a variety of sizes, you can select different add ons, and there are different color schemes (e.g., romantic blush, bright and vibrant, etc.). The arrangement comes in a nice vase and is a nice touch, but the arrangement itself really steals the show. The lush vase color scheme is great- beautiful colors, well arranged/organized, and good quality. It came with a card with my name on it (a card for the recipient), and inside it you can have a custom message written. There was also a card with LLBs contact info and care instructions, plus food for the flowers! Great deal. I ordered one for my mom too and it was beautiful- she loved it. I had them deliver within the area, and although the price was a bit much for the distance, the end product was well worth it. If you need a beautiful flower arrangement for your special event or a special day, try LLB out! Great stuff. We worked with Jennie for 3.5 years to plan our intimate ceremony during COVID in 2020, then our larger ceremony and reception in 2022. We honestly could not have done it without her. We worked so closely together - texting, emailing, video chatting - that she really felt like part of our family. She would spend so much time with us. I could tell she really cared for us and our preferences. Wedding planning was stressful because we were learning about a whole new industry and its specific language. Jennie was so great at giving us vendor recommendations and then connecting us with them- we loved everyone we chose from her list! Jennie would follow through with coordinating all our vendors, sending them updates and reminders on our behalf. She helped get our dream cake vendor on board (who was booked for our date) by sending a personal email offering everything her team could do to make it happen. She asked our vendors important questions that we wouldn't even think of! Needless to say, she was crucial and we were so lucky to have had her as our wedding planner. Besides wedding planning, Jennie and her team also did our florals! Since she understood our vision and style, florals was one of the easiest and smoothest parts of the wedding planning. We loved the florals she put together for our archway, table centers, and bouquets/boutonnieres based on our inspo pictures. They were perfectly romantic and organically styled. Their team also helped repurpose our ceremony archway florals for our sweetheart table, so nothing went to waste. Overall, we have only great things to say about Jennie. We had LLB as our florist and DOC for our wedding which took place this past Saturday. Out of all my vendors, Jennie was my favorite! In the beginning when we originally hired LLB as our florist, we also inquired about her wedding planning/doc services, however we put it on the back burner since we weren't sure we absolutely needed it. Fast forward to a few months short of our wedding date, our venue encouraged us to have a coordinator since our wedding was on the larger scale. Jennie is really just such an amazing person! My flowers came out BEYOND what I could have hoped for. Jennie really understood exactly what I wanted! She mirrored almost exactly what I had on my Pinterest board! Jennie is SOOO detail oriented and meticulous about everything, including details I never even considered. Her communication was also great, and was extremely responsive throughout our entire planning process. To give you guys an idea of how amazing she is, the Thursday before our wedding, she texted me to finalize some aspects of our floral/decor. When I told her I didn't have a cake stand and didn't want one because I couldn't find an all acrylic one although I had been searching for MONTHS, she was able to have it custom made and ready by the next day for a reasonable price by one of her vendors! Keep in mind this was 2 days before the wedding. This blew my mind. How incredible is that? She also provided me with numerous vendors when I told her I was interested in having a live musician for our ceremony and cocktail hour. I was able to find an amazing cellist through her! Jennie really goes above and beyond! Her whole team was incredibly sweet and executed everything wonderfully. She handled the finalization and coordinated for the execution of our wedding perfectly without requiring much from us (which took so much off our plates)! She took so much off our hands and I felt she did so much more than was required of her. I am so thankful and appreciative of her and her team! Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True. Satvir did the mandap and florals for my wedding in San Francisco, CA…read more Satvir is an incredible decorator and has a great vision and eye for quality. As a designer myself, I had a good idea of what I wanted my wedding mandap to look like. I also knew I wanted a larger mandap, which is sometimes hard to come by. Satvir was open to feedback and had a large rustic 10x12 mandap her team had built. It had nice large wooden beams and worked perfectly with our venue. I wanted bright florals that felt full and satvir delivered. I was very happy with how the final product turned out. She also dealt with all the crazy SF rules including zip tying all the chairs together and getting the fire permit which was required by the city. This was such a stress relief for us since we didn't know how to handle all the rules and regulations. In addition, something I really value about Satvir's approach is how she reuses florals. It pains me to see how much flowers are wasted at weddings, and I wanted a more sustainable approach. The florals from our mandap were reused for our reception and satvir touched them up and made them look beautiful. None of our guests even noticed they were the same florals. I loved the fact that we didn't waste flowers and everything was gorgeous. She also managed to do this in a very tight timeline and killed it!! Highly recommend satvir, you will not regret it.

A friend referred us to Vicky, and we didn't think twice. In hindsight, perhaps we should have done more research, but we are easygoing people. We communicated our vision, gave Vicky creative freedom, and trusted her as a professional. We weren't difficult. We asked for something simple, elegant, and meaningful. Instead, we experienced stress, embarrassment, and disappointment. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Vicky voiced concerns that our venue, Koi Palace, was too small. We reassured her we had attended several beautiful weddings there ourselves, space doesn't seem to be an issue. While she eventually said she'd make it work, her lingering doubt was noticeable. On the day of the wedding, I arrived at the venue at 5:20 PM and found our guests waiting outside due to the venue not being ready. Inside, I observed Vicky and her team still working and did not wrap up until 6:00 PM, the scheduled start time of our reception. Later, Vicky insisted she had finished by 5:30 PM and had time to mingle with our vendors, but that version didn't align with what I witnessed or what our vendors shared. The most heartbreaking part came when my wife and I stood before the photo backdrop to take pictures with our guests. Instead of our correct monogram, the backdrop displayed the letters "V & A," despite my wife's name starting with a "J". Our guests noticed and pointed it out. We were stunned. To us, this wasn't a minor mistake, it was a glaring and deeply embarrassing moment. We ended up removing the initials ourselves. Even then, we didn't lash out. We waited, hoping Vicky might follow up to ask how the day went. She didn't. Two days later, I reached out and met with Vicky in person. I calmly asked how she thought the event went. She indicated everything went great and didn't recall any issues. When I showed her a photo of the incorrect initials, she looked at it without immediately recognizing the mistake. Only after I pointed it out did she acknowledged it and offered to Photoshop the images as a solution. That moment was disheartening. It showed a lack of understanding of what her role meant to us. This wasn't about a photo, it was about how we felt in a moment that can't be edited. It was about getting the basics right on a day that only happens once. After expressing our disappointment, we asked Vicky for a 30 percent refund. Not out of spite or anger, but because we truly felt the value of the service fell short of what was promised. The emotional weight of her error left an unsavory impact throughout our evening. We didn't demand the refund on the spot. I encouraged her to sleep on it and consider our perspective, to put herself in our shoes. She appreciated how non-confrontational we were and ultimately verbally agreed to the refund via Zelle. Three days went by. Nothing. I followed up with a message. No response. Eventually, Vicky replied and asked to speak. During our conversation, she reversed course and said she no longer felt the refund was warranted. She maintained the decor had been finished well before 6:00 PM and sent us a video of guests taking their seats at 6:01 PM, which only confirmed she or her team were still at the venue at that time. Technically, she completed the decor by the start time, which falls within the contract, and while we shared our plans for pre-reception desserts and snacks, we cannot fault her for that aspect. As for the wrong initials, to her credit, Vicky was apologetic to some degree and acknowledged the error, but indicated a 30 percent refund was unrealistic. I explained again this wasn't about a backdrop, it was about my wife being displayed by the wrong name, in front of everyone, on her wedding day. It was about the emotional toll and the lapse in attention to detail, especially when Vicky had worked almost exclusively with my wife during planning. How that mistake happened is still beyond me. Candidly, Vicky admitted to mixing up my wife's name with another bride. In the end, Vicky refunded 7.5 percent, stating since we removed the initials, it didn't technically ruin the wedding. No, it didn't ruin the wedding. But it undoubtedly affected how we felt. It cast a shadow over the night. It made us feel discounted, dismissed, and ultimately shorted of a service we were counting on. I believe Vicky put effort into her work. I believe she cares to a point. But her unwillingness to follow through on her word or genuinely consider the emotional impact of her mistake left us deeply disappointed. Mistakes happen, but how you respond to them matters just as much as the service you provide.

I see it on Pinterest often and had to reach out and see how much this beautiful setup could be. I expected expensive but hoped to be surprised. I was shocked. I only inquired about the main draw of the photos for me. The entry gate, the iron arch, and the aisle candles. Meg was superbly friendly and delivered an estimate covering what I had asked for. The estimate was completely disheartening. Since I'm sure there are many others who are curious how much this look costs, I will share what I was quoted. Entry gates when you walk in- $450 Iron arch in front of fireplace- $750 12 clusters of floating candles in cylinders- $540 if displayed in clusters. They have exclusive florists as well (probably them I'm assuming) so who knows how much that would end up being. Beautiful, but not at all reasonable. My guess with flowers and the other candle holders and curtains puts this look in the 10k region. Too bad. I love this look so so much, but to charge $1,690 for delivery/install/pick-up is just crazy. Granted they are coming from San Jose... but still. Can I just set it up myself?? I'm very curious to see wedding photos of this look to see if a 10k 30 minute ceremony is worth it. Just hard for me to imagine because I haven't seen any photos of someone actually using this look yet. Hopefully someday someone can afford it and post online. My rating is three stars because it's a fair enough company. Their philosophy states that the price tag reflects the "value" of their services that have been around for 20 years. Meg was also kind and took the time to build me an estimate which was much appreciated. The main downfall of this company is that I can't afford it. If you can, I'd recommend giving them a shot. If their professional photos reflect their actual work I'd say they are worth it. Till then... I'm still looking.

Jessica: Jessica was our main point of contact throughout the planning process, and she was truly amazing. Whether we had questions or requests for the decorators, MC, DJ, day-of coordinator, photographers, videographers, or HMUA, she was always there to help. She was patient, kind, incredibly organized, and never made me feel like my questions were too much. Our Service Instruction worksheet was so detailed that every vendor knew exactly what to expect, which made the entire day run seamlessly. Decoration Team: The décor for both our ceremony and reception was absolutely stunning. Just two weeks before the wedding, I made a major change to our reception backdrop, and the team worked hard to bring my new vision to life. Jessica even arranged for me to see digital mockups after we discussed how important they were to me. Because of that, I was able to completely refresh the design from the inspiration I had shared over a year earlier. My advice: be as specific as possible about what you like and don't like--it really helps the decorators create your vision. Everything was executed beautifully. MC Eric: Eric was phenomenal! We specifically wanted a bilingual English/Vietnamese MC, and he exceeded every expectation. Even our hard-to-impress Vietnamese aunties and uncles couldn't stop complimenting him. He was charismatic, organized, and handled last-minute changes effortlessly. We had to adjust our timeline during the reception, including pausing photos and adding speeches, and he kept everything flowing naturally without awkward downtime. He also perfectly coordinated our unique sequence of dances with the DJ, making every transition feel seamless. DJ Otis: We didn't know who our DJ would be until the wedding day, and we were thrilled it was Otis! He absolutely nailed the music all night. The dance floor stayed packed until 11 PM because he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He mixed current hits with 70s-90s favorites that kept both younger guests and the older Vietnamese crowd dancing. The glow sticks and light-up glasses were a huge hit, and the energy never dropped. Day-of Coordinator Carina: Carina was incredible. She was warm, personable, and unbelievably organized. I thought my planning documents were detailed, but hers were even more thorough! She made me feel completely at ease leading up to the wedding and even drove to Pleasanton to run our rehearsal (an add-on that was absolutely worth it). Multiple vendors and family members commented on how efficient and organized she was. Photography & Videography: Our package included an engagement shoot plus two photographers and two videographers. Sam photographed both our engagement session and wedding, and his work was beautiful. We chose his light and airy editing style, and our engagement photos turned out amazing. On the wedding day, Sam and Christine were fantastic. They captured every moment while making us feel comfortable. One thing I'll never forget was how Sam noticed we hadn't had a moment to ourselves because of nonstop photos. He quietly pulled us away under the guise of a private reception reveal so we could enjoy a few peaceful minutes together. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Otis was kind with great attention to detail from the start. Ultimately, we decided with the glam package and our contract was very clear to understand with cost breakdown for removal of specific services / add-ons. I updated it many times with Jessica, our planner, as we made changes throughout the months, and she was always so patient and clear. Our MC Otis did a wonderful job with maintaining flow of the program. Otis was also working as DJ for a good portion of the evening, so props to him! We had closer to an hour compared to 1.5 hours of open dancing because we were behind schedule, but everybody was on the dance floor and he kept the party going seamlessly. Weddings are hectic and there are so many moving parts; we did get behind schedule but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do. Our photo & video services were set to end, but Otis was very professional in discussing with us if we wanted to extend our video services, communicative on additional cost, at the moment. Our photographer, Ben, along with the team Stanford and videographer, Christina, were so fun to work with. Ben was great at providing direction, which is especially helpful since we were not used to posing. I have not received photo & video yet as it has only been a week, but from an experience standpoint, they were attentive to detail, communicative, and glided effortlessly through the event. My makeup artist, Vivi, is the sweetest person. She was super attentive to detail and my particular skin type. I was worried about makeup because I don't wear heavy makeup often. I ended up paying for a make-up trial, and I was so happy working with Vivi that I had no worries for the wedding day. We also added-on make up for our mothers, which Vivi did the morning of. The reception decor turned out so pretty! Everything was set-up as scheduled. I was really happy with the welcome backdrop and name sign. It was also great to take pictures with guests with the backdrop since we had time during cocktail hour. We asked TDE to incorporate a large screen as the backdrop of our sweetheart table, so we found an example from a previous wedding they did, and it turned out exactly as expected. We added the photo-booth, which was so popular with the guests! There were so many cool props and our guests were having tons of fun with it. I also sent TDE a custom drawing that I wanted for the photo strips- and it turned out just like I imagined. We chose Grand Dynasty as our reception venue, and TDE communicated set-up details with our restaurant event manager, Esmond, in the days leading up to the event. I highly recommend TDE and the team that we worked with! Thank you for making it an unforgettable experience.
