This is a cute little mom and pop shop diner. Our waitress and the hostess were great and provided great service. We were a party of four and a total of 6 meals were ordered all of which were great. We had one minor bad experience with another waitress who appeared miserable and was rude to someone in my party who was waiting to ask our waitress a question. This is a great place to grab a quick bite if looking for diner food. It's small inside but located in a good area near shops in Manasquan. The food was good, we all got breakfast food and everything was cooked well and came out at the same time. Everything was fresh and portions were good, besides the side of fries which was a very small portion. The only complaint I would have is the service. Our waitress didn't check on us at all throughout the meal and didn't refill waters. Overall good place to go for a diner, would definitely go back. read more

I was driving through Manasquan, NJ to check out the beach after a weekend camping in Allaire State Park, so this sit down diner on Main Street was perfect. Around 10:00am on a Monday, the owner greeted me at the door, and I found the waitstaff equally welcoming and friendly. The food is primarily breakfast/lunch, and scanning the menu, my eyes caught the Linzer French Toast. My waitress gave it the thumbs up and about 10 minutes later, a beautiful sight arrived--six thick slices of French toast smothered in hot raspberry jam and sour cream with syrup on the side and three pieces of fresh fruit garnish. I should have only had 2-3 slices, but once you start... The mouth feel of the sweet jam with the sour cream and soft (but not too soft) French toast is addicting. And with three refills of coffee, the bill was ten bucks--a great deal in my book. The ambiance is bright, a little 80s styling, and a kind of home style feel the way a diner should be. This place is a gem. Came here for dinner with a friend on a Saturday after spending the day on the beach. Previously, I had only come here for breakfast and it's always on point, so when I heard they started doing dinner as well, I figured we should give it a shot. The place was far busier that I expected, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. Upon seating us, the owner Louie (I believe that's his name - not completely sure) brought over bread sticks and politely apologized for our wait - a nice touch. My friend had the blackened Salmon, she said it was absolutely fantastic. I had the sirloin steak, I ordered it medium well. The steak was perfectly cooked (sometimes hard for diners to get this right) and was juicy and tender. Definitely a quality cut of meat! Next time I spend the day at the beach and want to stop for dinner before heading back north, this will definitely be the spot! read more

I have been mistakenly walking and driving past this place all my life without ever stopping. After all, growing up in Jersey you always know what to expect from a diner and usually looking for something a little different at the shore. Big mistake. My wife and I have now been there 5 times for breakfast since the start of the summer and it has been perfect every time! Somehow they do the regular breakfast stuff and simply do it better than everywhere else. It shouldn't be possible to be that consistent but they are. They also have items not found on other diner menus. Try the undecided pancakes! Also tons of healthy alternatives for my wife! And talk about orderliness and cleanliness. I'd rather eat off the floor there than at most tables in other diners. Awesome job Paramount, sorry I missed you all these years. Excellent all around! The Paramount was spotlessly clean. Despite her youth, our waitress was awesome! Friendly, attentive & intuitive!! The food was piping hot & delicious!! The Paramount Diner is the perfect hole-in-the-wall spot amidst the quaint shops of Manesquan. I got the Bliss: scrambled eggs, bacon, chives and cream cheese mixed atop a toasted English muffin...Totally blissful! And my husband got the Italian omelet. Then we shared chocolate chip pancakes. (Don't judge!) The food was so, so good; portions were plentiful; and the service was just as impressive! We'll def be going back to The Paramount! read more

This is a cute, fun diner, they have a wide variety of food that is likely to be enjoyed by many. All of the food is typical food you would get at a diner; not outstanding, but I would eat it. The only thing that I do not recommend getting are the strawberry pancakes. The strawberries were poured into the batter, and cooked on top of. The strawberry's came out tasting like mush, and looking over ripe. The prices for average for everything. Overall, the experience was alright; I would probably not go again. read more

Such a nice little eatery nestled in the heart of Manasquan! The inside of the Paramount Diner is charming and clean--you can feel the pride of ownership as soon as you step foot in the door. The menu is your usual diner fare (in this case, a good thing!), with a couple of more eclectic items (Avocado Toast, anyone?) to keep everyone happy. My friend had an omelette with a generous amount of savory Italian sausage, and my cheddar omelette with sliced avocado on top was hot and tasty. The only improvement I can think of is to make sure that all the home fries are browned rather than just the top layer. The coffee was quite good (not the watered down variety so often served at the Shore), and our friendly server kept our cups filled. My friend and I felt welcome and unhurried as we leisurely chatted and enjoyed our meals. I am looking forward to returning to the Paramount Diner to sample the rest of the menu, including the delicious sounding dinner specials! read more

Every time I have been here, Paramount Diner has been packed, but I've never waited more than 5 minutes for a booth. They also provide interesting historical reading about Manasquan in the corridor area. LOL! 45 god damn minutes for a drink. I can't even get a chocolate milk????? I have never, and I mean never have had this bad of service in my whole entire life. If I could I would buy this place and just shut it down that's how bad it is. It is absolutely unbelievable. We even asked for our drinks after waiting a long time, still took 10 mins after that. We have been to the Paramount many times for breakfast and it has always been a great experience. They give you a large mug of very good coffee. They have a long list of different flavored pancakes. I've had most but my favorite is still buttermilk. They are so tender they melt in your mouth! The eggs are cooked to perfection and their bacon is the best around. On today's visit, my BF had the Bliss from the Breakfast Specialties and he said it was bliss! Manasquan is a great town and the Paramount is one of its gems. Reasonably priced, too! read more

I can't give this place enough stars. You really feel welcomed here. Stopped by on my way back from an appointment before I hopped on the train. A great little, cozy dinner with some awesome breakfast foods. The pancakes were of the melt-in-your-mouth variety. The bacon was perfect, and the potatoes were fresh. My personal favorite, though, was the FRESH squeezed OJ. The boss even threw a splash of the just-squeezed stuff before I finished my meal, just so that I'd "end on a good one." We recently went to dinner there before the show. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The server, Maggie was very kind, she was also very friendly. Even when the restaurant got a little busy Maggie kept a smile on her face. So the staff were great but I have to say the food was just as good. I highly recommend this place. read more
