Ordered on Seamless, wish I had looked here first. This place is overpriced, delivery took nearly 2 hours, no cutlery included, and the food is sparse, and crappy. Had the Butter Masala (chicken) and the Aloo Gohbi. The Butter Masala had a few small pieces of chicken floating in a bowl full of sauce, and the whole thing smelled like it was rotting. The Aloo Gohbi was overcooked and spicy, but otherwise flavorless. Even the rice was lacking. I regret wasting my money on this place, and after reading some of the reviews here, I regret having ingested any of the food they produce. Those who have said that this place is less than clean? Usually, if you're expecting good service, Newark Ave is not the place to go. Paratha Junction is an exception to this rule - really good service. Water was on the table literally a second after we walked in and it was consistent throughout. The food was also good - the samosas are really good - piping hot and not oily or heavy at all with really good sweet chutney. Chicken tikka paratha was also good, came with dippable yogurt which was much nicer than just eating it with regular, heavier yogurt. I would not recommend the aloo chat though. We made a large order yesterday through Uber Eats. We usually order from Rasoi but they don't deliver to us. So we decided to try something new. We spent almost $70 and was shocked to find that one of the entrees (butter curry) and two of the desserts (gulag jamun) we had ordered were missing. I even tipped the delivery guy $12 in addition to the delivery fee since it came quickly. Well, we learned our lesson the hard way. They cannot handle large (10 Parathas) order at all. My food was delivered with mango lassi on all over the food. I had to throw more than half of the food as it was all messed up. Ended up ordering pizza for the guests as we did not want to wait for an hour to get the replacement. Some of the food items were missing too. The issue is when I reached out to the Restaurant they said we cannot do anything as it was delivery guy who messed up. It felt like it was my fault. Super cheap and good. We walked over to the Paratha Junction after having a great Happy Hour at LITM near the Grove Street path on Newark Avenue. It was about a 20 minute walk. It wasn't busy. But they obviously do a big take out there. It's BYOB and there's a liquor store nearby. Chicken Tikka was the star order of the night.
