Dee-li-cious. Had samosas, paneer tikka masala, and Atom Bomb paratha. Best sauces ever. I would eat that entire meal again. Right now.

Though I have already written a review for Paratha junction(old location), this review had to be written after coming here today to the new location!We came in late ,around 10.30 pm tonight since most of the other restaurants nearby was either closed or too crowded.This place too was quite crowded but we managed to get a table. My first complaint is for the fact they take only cash and Amex. C'mon why would you do that to us people who hardly carry cash? We ordered a hydrogen bomb paratha,aloo paratha and egg bhurjee with a mango lassi.When the food arrived, we discovered that the server had mistakenly got us egg paratha instead of egg bhurjee(for those of you who don't know Indian food, egg bhurjee is a side dish meant to be eaten with paratha while egg paratha is umm..just a paratha(Indian bread))..So basically we were stuck with 3 breads and nothing to eat it with..not even achar(pickle).! When we asked our server about the mix up,he didn't even offer to change the dish..He told he heard it as egg paratha, shrugged and walked away without even enquiring if we needed a side dish. Being extremely hungry and not wanting to wait any longer,we tried to eat the parathas without a side but they were flavorless and bland and we had to call our server and tell him to get us some pickle.The mango lassi was good but I couldn't enjoy it all that much since I was pissed off about the bland food. Of course, to be fair, I have to say that others at this place seemed to be enjoying their food and ours might have been a totally random occurrence but I get mad when people dont even show a little remorse after messing up our order (especially when I am hungry and looking forward to a good meal).So this was your last chance,Paratha Junction.I am moving onto better things! read more

Very disappointed by the service, we ordered and it's very slow we ordered two entrees and they gave one and they missed the other entree, we thought it's on the way but later we noticed they didn't even prepare the food. Simply the best North Indian food in Jersey City. Rabri is absolutely amazing. I love the Paneer Tikka and Paneer Makhni as well.

People who take orders are rude and arrogant and threaten you that wont deliver your orders if you dont cater to their whims and fancies. I would never ever recommend this place. There are tonnes of other good places in the newark street to visit. read more

Stopped by with my in-laws who were not too familiar with indian food. They loved this place. The service from Nithin and Ahmed was great! Both offered suggestions of dishes and explained the best choices for my in-laws. Spice was perfect on all dishes. Our favorite dish of the night was the fried masala fish appetizer. It was amazing!! Our other favorites included the paneer tikka and vegetable/mircha paratha. We had food left over and they even gave us extra rice to go. This is a fantastic, friendly and fast spot for indian food. Great place. Paratha 5 stars but service 3 star. Serving staff is fabulous but they can take service to the next level. They maintain acceptable temp with fans so it makes it easy to eat spicy food. Overall clean. We had Keema and Aloo paratha and it was delicious, freshly prepared. Tea was OK. I had delivery during Ramadan and it was delivered fresh in the aluminum foiled bags. It stayed fresh in the freezer for days. I suggest to keep sriracha, ketchup and sugar at each table. read more

Very ok. The vegetarian offerings are better than the keema (which are dry and lacking the melt in your mouth texture which you expect)

They do tandoori pompfret...it's one of the most preferred fried fish in the western part of India.

Worst service ever had.they made us wait for 1 hour and after that they are like we forgot to place your order

Unprofessional service. Only one waiter was a responsible one and noticed that we had been waiting for food for quite a while and offered us a soft drink, others just didn't care. We went there after long weekend to pick up something quickly as we were starving after 6 hrs of drive. The person who took the order said it would 20 minutes and when asked after half an hour, they just didn't care to respond until I yelled that they at least need to respond. Four of us ate here two days ago, and we all found it excellent. We had three chicken dishes, one a tikka masala, one an appetizer, and all were great. We were aware of the disparaging reviews, so we were keeping an eye out (well, a tongue out) for problems with the chicken, but found none at all. One of us had the hydrogen bomb and that too was excellent. I've been eating here for a number of years, including when it was down the block, and I find the quality as high as always. The service has also always been excellent. And the prices are great. read more

Super greasy food and highly unhygienic.

Paratha Junction has decent Indian food, but we were not as impressed with the food as we were with some of other Indian restaurants in "India Square." We had Malai Kofta, Coconut chicken, Onion Paratha and Naan. The paratha was quite greasy. Overall, the food was fine, but it's hard to say I would return because of the plethora of good Indian restaurants in the area. read more

The Lassuni Gobi was freaking delicious - I could eat a pile of that shniz. I had the Keema Paratha with mutton, and it was great, though I got a bit tired of it toward the end - definitely would have been better to share. Finally an authentic paratha place. The portion size is large and generous and definitely value for money. I love the spicy hydrogen bomb paratha and would highly recommend it. Have not tried the other entree or meat dishes but will definitely try again. My only complaint is that evenw ith a pick up order the wait time was around 30 mins or more. Went there again and even better both the manager and the chef were very accommodating to our needs and helped us out to understand the menu very good. I've had family who wasn't Indian and it was very hard for them to understand the dishes and they also wanted to know about the allergies coz one of them was allergic to nuts they explained it very nice hats off. Went there a few days ago for lunch. My friends were visiting. One had been once before and he loved it so much that we had to go this time. It didn't disappoint! We ordered palak paneer, peeli dal, chana sag, tandoori roti & lassis. So good! It was perfectly spiced, hot but not so much that you can't taste the food. Chana was slightly salty but didn't stop us. We took the leftovers home and my friend had the palak for breakfast a few days later. read more

The one star is for the parathas. We ordered Mooli, Aloo and gobi paratha and they were all very good. What sucked was the palak paneer. Sucked is an under statement btw. To top it was the our waiters attitude and arrogance. When we called him to say that the palak paneer had a weird smell, he responded by saying, "are you serious?" And just took it back inside without hearing us out. In 45 secs, he comes out and said, "The chef made a new one for you" (which we didn't ask him to make). And added that there is no way it could have gone bad since the chef tasted it. We told him that he can take it back since the new one was equally or more bad and we ordered for paneer bhurji. He said if I send t back the manager would come and ask what's the problem and that we would have to explain it to him and I was like??!!!!!!??! (20mins later) Paneer bhurji arrives and it was good. But by then the parathas were all cold. Courtesy: they have one door and everytime somebody opens the door a blast of cold wind comes in. If you get a table next to the door in the cold weather, good luck! Ofcourse at the end of it, he charged us for palak paneer and didn't come back to even ask if the paneer bhurji was good. Paratha Junction manager and chef: if a customer is supremely hungry and sends a dish back its because it's genuinely bad and not because they want to play with you. Hope you understand so that you don't lose more customers. And for heavens sake, fix you door or add another door during cold weather. Thank you for your pathetic business! read more

We stopped here after a concert close to midnight about a year ago and since then whenever I am crossing Jersy city I make a point to stop at this place. I don't care if the Deco is not very fancy, its the food that matters. Truly yummiest Parathas, We ordered Keema paratha and Paneer and Sikh kebab. Came back next day ordered Keema paratha, rogan josh, Paneer paratha, Cheese paratha, and biryani. If you looking for truly north Indian food, give this place a try. read more

If you order something around 5, you will get it delivered at 8! You will get reasons telling that the staff had to change their shift, no one was there! You pay extra tips and your food gets delivered just 2hrs 30 min later than the time you expected! Isn't it perfect timing to order for an evening snack and get it delivered for lunch?? I had to order it for my guests, and thanks Paratha Junction, for making them leave with an empty stomach! You guys are the best in giving reasons to deliver the cold food totally late in time!
