I went to this Parcel Plus because of its convenient location. Unfortunately, I encountered the rudest, most hostile service that I have ever experienced anywhere in Roxborough. For no apparent reason, the employee was instantly hostile and condescending when I asked him a question. It was astonishingly bad. The customer service is awful and the prices are high. I noticed that they refuse to use QR codes (it's 2025, people), which is inconvenient. However, you can always print out a label. That will cost $1.50. For anything that you want printed, it's $1.50 per page (just a black and white printed sheet!). The thing that was the biggest turn off was the miserable look and lack of a greeting on the man's face when I walked into their cramped store. When answering any of my questions, he was impatient and terse with a sour grapes face. I drive further than needed to drop off things for Fed-Ex because this place doesn't deserve my business. Came here to get my fingerprints done for clearances and ended up having to come TWICE to get them redone. I've gotten my prints done ~10 times due to the nature of my job and volunteering, but my prints have NEVER been rejected at the other 9 locations I've been to. Only have they been rejected here, where they clearly don't care to do it right the first time. I get it, it's covid, they probably want me out of there asap. But hey, if the computer clearly says print not wide enough, or insufficient tips, then just redo them instead of hitting continue so you don't have to make me return to contaminate your store again! When I saw the lady doing a sloppy job even the second time, I mentioned my first prints were rejected because they weren't clear, and she said well, you get to try 3 times. This place clearly doesn't care about wasting your time and forcing you to continue coming back. Long story short - DO NOT COME HERE TO GET YOUR FINGERPRINT DONE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE TIME GETTING THEM REDONE AND/OR YOU WANT TO MISS YOUR DEADLINE. read more

Unbelievably rude man at front counter. I was scheduled to get fingerprints and called to see if I could come earlier than scheduled. The man I spoke with said yes. I arrived and checked in. I sat for about 15 minutes and politely asked the man upfront how long the wait was--I was curious because the store was empty. He said the man in the back was eating lunch and I'd have to wait another half hour when lunch was over. I said I wish I had been told because I called to confirm if it was ok to arrive earlier. He went off on me--said I never called, that I was wrong for coming early. I was just aghast to be spoken to so rudely. He was so angry. I said, "I called and spoke to someone as a courtesy to your business, why are you talking to me like this?" He went in the back and said the man would see me so we didn't need to talk anymore. I sat there in stunned silence. If it wasn't for work, I would have walked out. The man who did my prints in the back was polite but I would never step foot in this place again. Came to get fingerprinted for being a caregiver, process was easy after I booked online, I came in at the appointed time, waited fir 5-7mins, and was then serviced in the back on a digital fingerprint machine, process was quick and easy, plus it wasn't overpriced. Good for use in a pinch. Expensive prices for packing materials and they charge you a dollar to tape the top of your box closed. Otherwise reliable shipping and gets the job done consistently. Just make sure you pack and tape up your stuff before coming in. read more

DON'T GIVE THIS PLACE BUSINESS. Would give a 0 stars if I could. I sent my engagement ring with insurance and it got "lost" in the mail. I also sent a different package and he charged me $7 for two strips of tape and a printed label. He didn't tell be upfront the additional cost and instead pointed to ripped papers that was covered by the package he was taping for $7. He's extremely rude and just over all bad service. I used to like this place- you can read the previous review I posted not so long ago- but I am really dissatisfied with this business right now. First of all, the male employees there have been very rude to me- unless I was shipping a package to EUROPE FOR OUTRAGEOUS COSTS!!! You see where I am going with that! I When I shipped TWO packages to GERMANY EXPRESS AND SPENT ALMOST 200 DOLLARS, then, I got a smile! Lucky me! I have also used their FBI finger printing services and they were okay. However, if you are just dropping packages and asking for a receipt, you get a dirty look. The last time I did that, the employee didn't even bother to scan all my packages. I just tracked 5 of the packages I dropped there yesterday at 10 am- they were all sent PRIORITY USPS 2 DAYS and guess what? They still haven't been scanned tonight at 6 pm!!! Had to get a document notarized and was charged $8. The dude who notarized my document didn't bother to witness my signature and barely looked at my identification. He just signed and stamped the document. Had to send document and did not want to spend a lot of money and they tried to get me to spend more than $20! Copies of my document costed several dollars also. I think this place was recently sold or under new ownership/management because it's not the same as the last time I wrote a review. Parcel Plus overcharges and the notary doesn't give a crap about what's being notarized which can be good for some people. read more

I am freakin' MAD. I just found out the package I paid for and gave the guy to mail had NO postage on it!!! I was at Parcel Plus Dec. 16 and my friend just rec'd the package today. No wonder it took so long. SHE had to PAY P.O.D. (payment on delivery)!!! It was a Christmas present for her! Besides this the atmosphere here is terrible and the young guys seem to think they're too cool for you. They'll do as lttle as possibe. I've been there several times and it's never different. If you blink, you'll miss it - next to Petco. This is just a small, privately-owned, Fed Ex shipping-like place and is better than standing in line at the post office. They'll ship your stuff and even have boxes in different sizes to choose from. They also sell stamps, greeting cards, etc. You can fax for $1.75 a page and receive one for $1.25 per page. They have a high speed copier and are also a notary (which you can have in a mobile service, too.) This place is not as crowded as the post office but can get crowded at times. Everyone that patronizes there (rather than the Staples, just across the parking lot) seems to just have a quick item to be done so the line moves fast. The staff seems on top of their game so a visit there is quite swift but the convenience is clutch. I don't believe they have emailing capability or internet access, so it's not full service but like I said, sure beats the post office. They do offer a service for a fee that I feel is quite nice: They will list and sell your junk on Ebay for you. I have not tried this but I have a bunch of useful stuff in my house that I couldn't be bothered to list but have been meaning to sell as it is just clutter in my home. If you are not Ebay or internet savvy, it could be a good option, even if they do clip your profit a bit. read more

I love this place. I drop off packages and it is fast and convenient. The staff are always welcoming and greet you with a smile! They offer free candy while waiting and it has an old time feel. The only thing is that if you are paying by card there is a $5 minimum. read more

This little shop is in a very convenient location especially considering that closest post office to Andorra is in the middle of downtown Roxborough where there is no parking to be found. BUT it seems that this shop takes advantage of their convenience and up charge not only shipping costs but supplies. Recently, I wanted to mail out a 21 lb box to Arizona, took it to Parcel Plus and asked to send it out the most economical method possible since there was no rush. They wanted to charge me $110! I sent it via UPS Ground and paid $32 dollars. They wanted to charge me more than 3 times the cost of UPS Ground. Unfortunately, I would like to say that this was a one time oddity but not so. Every time I go in to get a quote of what it would cost to ship something out, I almost always come out with my jaw to the floor, stunned from their incredulous and over priced quote. Convenience is not cheap here. I understand that they are a business and should be able to make a profit. Absolutely, I am all for that but please don't take advantage of your customers just because you can. Thanks, but I am taking my business else where. read more

I went in to send off a package. The lady behind the counter was helping another customer, but was apparently having some computer issues. So it was taking a little while, but technology issues are apart of life, so I stay cool. It last for a about 10 minutes or so. There's a guy in the back on the telephone. He makes 2 separate calls while I am in there. He's off the phone now, doing nothing or being a manager. Anyway, this lady walks in the store and he walks out and ask her "Can I help you". She wanted to know if they ship packages; he responds "Sure, I can handle that for you". She says she left the package at home and walks out. He turns and goes back in the office. I like dropping off my packages here because: (1) They have a private parking lot -- Yeah, I don't know how to parallel park so this is important. (2) They are always friendly when I come in. (3) It's super convenient, when I'm always going to Acme and Petco every week. I will say they have had technical difficulties ONCE when I was coming in, but I always print my labels at home. I arrived with a coffee table in a box to be shipped FedEx 15 minutes after they closed (I didn't realize they had closed). The sales person working there told me they had closed, but then she accepted my package and said she would have it picked up the next day and gave me a receipt. Simple because I was sick and there's a heat wave and I could park right out front of the store with minimal walking. Anytime I've gone in here and I'm not the only customer .. It just seems like a clusterf*ck.. I mailed a package and purchased a sheet of stamps today and was kind of speechless at how expensive it was. These are typical things I do at the post office with the same size / weight package and it was nearly double what I usually spend. I was inclined to just take my package back and leave without being ripped off .. But again sick & hot and just wanted to get it over with. I was putting something in the mailbox outside Parcel Plus and I went into the store to grab a book of stamps. They wanted $11 for them. How can a store up charge a $9.80 book of stamps? I find this parcel plus to be very convenient, and have had no issues at all. It's perfect for shipping ebay items, and they do a great job with finding boxes for odd shapes and sizes. While some of the boxes are a bit pricey, they are competitive with other shipping services. I have never noticed a language barrier. read more

Used them a lot in the past, but now I am done. Went in to mail a simple, first class mail, larger envelope. Guy charged me $3. and when I asked how many ounces, he said 3. Said it was larger, that's why it was more. Went back again after I checked on-line and found it should only have cost $1.30. When I went back asking for my envelope, it had a $1.30 postage on it. Filled out a form to mail a package and put down the correct sender and receiver's name sent to, address, phone number. Then the clerk typed in the wrong address and spelled at least four letters of the person's name wrong. I did notice the address where the letter was being sent was not correct while I was in the store. I told the clerk and the clerk allegedly wrote the correct number on a piece of paper and blamed the computer not herself for the mistake. I did not notice what a completely botched up job it was until I got home and went over the receipt. If the package ever gets to it's destination it will be a miracle. Staples was closed so I went there. I have to blame myself as they botched up the job another time I was in their store. I made two visits to that store both times they botched up the job.
