I was heading home, some 13 - 14 hour drive. My front wheel bearing went out right after I entered Michigan. This happened on a holiday so repair shops were closed. I was stuck. Googled the nearest tow center which was Pardiac Tow services, they came right away, looked at my situation and went far and beyond what they needed to do. They helped me get a new bearing and the deal was for me to use their tools and I'd do the repair myself but man these Michigan folk are something else, positively. They took the wheel and changed out the part themselves. I do apologize because I'm terrible with names. But in short, they helped me get back on the road and for a fair price. WARNING: bring business elsewhere with more honest employees Was in an accident right off the freeway and the police called this company to tow my car. They towed the car and dropped me off at a nearby gas station with only a business card. No invoice, fees, etc. They towed the car unsafely. Standard safety procedure is to ensure passengers are not in harms way, and they had us stay in the car right next to traffic when they attached cables and moved us back onto the road. 180 for towing half a mile and 185 for "recovery". 25/day and they would not allow me to tow to destination on the day of the accident. The next day, I called and they said they couldn't tow it till the NEXT day. So I had to pay an extra $75 for storage fees even though I was prepared to pay on day one. 440 total for a half mile tow. Had to call to get a receipt and they did not provide the invoice for the long distance tow, just the initial tow/recovery fees. 55 to start towing and 3.50/mile. For a 50 mile tow that could have been around 200-250, I was charged a total of 687. read more

We have roadservice and this Company was sent to tow our car. It was a 38 mile tow. My coverage covers 250.00 and they charged my son an additional 225.00. So they are saying the tow would have been 475.00 That is ridiculous ! The normal tow rate on the high end would be 250. So they charge double the high rate. When I called them on the cost I got told (not very nicely) that it was a long tow and at night and that's what they charge the insurance. So you overcharge the insurance to make double the money. That is despicable doing that to people in need. My son is a young man trying to make ends meet and raise a child! He busts his butt for the money he makes only to get overcharged from a company that takes advantage of people in their hour of need. Fantastic service. Mathew saved my mom. She was deep down in a ditch off these snowy dirt roads in the middle of nowhere. He arrived in 30 mins from the call, and expertly got the car out in under 5 mins!!!! The car broke something when we slid off, Mathew offered to follow us out until we got on the main road. this company deserves 6 stars on a 5 star scale. after breaking down on the highway 30+ miles from home in February, I figured I should get a ride and worry about the car second. it was 11:10pm when I called Pardiac Towing and Matthew answered. not having a credit card I was just trying to arrange a time to meet the next day to pay for the tow to a local shop, but he was willing to go right then and there to get it off the side of the road - taking my word that we would connect the next day for payment. what impressed me the most, was his ability to have the level of compassion he showed - I can only describe it as "help first, business second". I couldn't possibly be more disgusted with this place. My husband's car broke down on a Saturday night in the middle of nowhere. We were dressed for a party (I was wearing a dress and heels). We called several places for towing. The responses we got were "several hours" to "we don't have enough trucks, I can't send someone to you". We finally called Pardiac Towing. I gave them my location and where I was going. He said 30 minutes. He asked me NO questions. I even asked him - don't you need to ask me for my information, type of car? Anything? He said NOPE, we'll send someone. The truck took about 45 minutes. OK, that's fine, no complaints there. He brought a flatbed, not really necessary, but fine. Marc got out of the car first, by now it's nearly 10:30 and it's cold and windy and remember, I'm in a DRESS. But I had to get out before the car was loaded, again, obviously. So I get out of the car, he already has the chains on and everything. I changed from my sandals to tennis shoes for warmth. He sees me and says - "Oh, I will have to let my buddy know to make room". The car is already on the flatbed and mostly loaded. We go to get in the truck and there are 3 bucket seats. One for the driver, one for his "buddy" and one for my husband and I. We rode, without seat belts, for 22 miles. When we got home, I got out of the truck before they unloaded. The driver's "buddy" kept apologizing for the tight squeeze. The driver said nothing. Bear in mind that these were young guys, maybe in their early 20's. My whole body was shaking, literally, from my knees to my shoulders, I looked like I had a palsy. I called the original guy back. His name is Matthew. He gets glowing reviews online. Below is a shortened version of our conversation. Me: Is it SOP for you to send two guys on a run? Him: Well, I mean, I don't know, why? Me: Your two customers shared a seat, illegally and dangerously because your driver brought his buddy along. Him: What do you want me to do? Tell him he can't bring friends? I can give you a small discount. Me: I was AFRAID for my life and my husband's life. AND if we'd been pulled over, WE would have been fined for not wearing seat belts. Him: I'm sorry for your discomfort. The truck I use DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A SECOND SEAT - customers sit on a TOOLBOX. You should have told me there was more than one of you. Me: I asked what else you needed to know - you said nothing. Him: I was busy working on a project. Me: I wouldn't have even gotten in the truck if I didn't know that NO ONE ELSE would come. We'd already called all the other places. You had us between a rock and a hard place. Him: *silence* OK, at this point, I took the discount, which brought our bill from $131 to $100. I was done talking to this guy and was done being upset. Because now I was shaking with ANGER. Not only is he o.k. with his drivers having passengers that are not on his payroll go to pick up customers (doesn't that mean that they aren't insured?), he sent two men to pick up what he thought was a woman alone in the middle of nowhere? It's apparently perfectly fine with him if his customers ride unsafely in his trucks. And everything is put on ME in the end for not telling him that my husband was with me. Don't use this place.
