The pastries are very delicious. I also love the royal pudding have to buy it everytime when I pass by the place. The bread and buns outside never really amazed me, i tried a few and they taste the same like the others chinese bakeries around definately not worth the money. The service it depends on the person that service you sometimes they are very attentive and nice but other times they are very arrogants and you can tell they want you to pay and leave! They should really fix this problem. Overall i would only come back for the cakes,sandwiches and pudding only. Came here after having dinner in the area. I had the Cafe Mocha and the Heavenly Cheese Cake. The Mocha was prob the best I had in my life. Perfect amount of chocolate and sweetness. The Heavenly Cheese Cake was a nice surprise. It was a combination of a regular cake and cheese cake. You take a bite and taste the cake and then the cheese cake hits you. Apparently, the recipe for success for a dessert place in Chinatown is to start with a French name, add some classical music, and make the desserts look like they belong in a French patisserie? Unfortunately, that's about where the comparison ends for Paris Baguette. Don't get me wrong. The pastries are flacky and fresh, as you would expect from a fancy pastry shop. The problem is, they are missing all the expensive ingredients that make a French pasty shop..well...French! Example. The almond croissant was fresh, and very flaky. But where was the almond filling? Hello? A few sliced almonds on top doesn't make it an almond croissant. It tasted like very flaky, very fresh, bread! Next up. The chocolate bread. Basically this was a round piece of bread with a cholocate coating on top. No swirls of chocolate inside. Was it good? Meh. Was it worth $3.50? Not even close. And $3.25 for an almond croissant with no almond inside? Are they kidding? The products here were at least double what a reasonable price should be for what you are getting. And I've been to downtown Brooklyn, on Court Street, (certainly no cheap rent district), and had much more satisfying pastries...for the exact same price. Ok, I get it. Chinese customers don't want all that rich creamy stuff that makes French pastries so decadent. Fine. But that is what makes them expenseive. If you make it cheap, don't charge the same as a genuine French pastry shop. The bottom line here. This place is grossly overpriced. You want the genuine article? Shop elsewhere. read more

Sad that my favorite bakery has such a low rating in the area where I was born and raised. I love Paris Baguette because they are consistently great and their goods in the US taste no different than the ones in Seoul. This is my favorite pastry shop in flushing. I love love love their version of the cronut. It doesnt come out til after 12pm and it is life changing. I cant believe how yummy it is. I also love their green tea latte with soy milk. Their almond croissant isnt as sweet and sticky or creamy (read eggy) like the almond croissants and bear claws served at other pastry places. I always come here once in a while before work to grab a drink and/or bread. The hot hazelnut coffee is my regular and it's a good deal for $1.50, sometimes they charge me tax and it comes to $1.63, but it's still a good price for a 12 oz coffee. The pastries are very fresh and tasty but I feel like almost every bread taste the same. Crispy, and tasty. They also have macarons, cakes and sandwiches. This is one of my favorite Paris Baguette locations. It's always clean and I love their wide selection of breads and pastries. My only complaint is that it can be quite noisy even at 9 pm due to the neighboring stores. I love their mararoons and cakes here!!! I love this place. We usually stop here before taking the shuttle to Spa Castle for some pastries or donuts and coffee. I had the freshest, most perfect red bean donut there the other day. Service is efficient and the place is clean and well-maintained. Relaxing places to sit. Definitely highly recommended for a quick breakfast or snack. It would be great if they had more of a drink selection though and the coffee, although adequate is not stellar. Good selection. Ended up eating a custard strawberry croissant. Layers were nice and flakey. Seating is a bit tight but reasonable. Service was great at the cashier and workers seem to be attentive and friendly. Had a cappaciono with too much milk and a cafe americano that seemed a bit weak. The place is clean and the food is decent. My only issue here is that they let some people stay in their premise cussing and uttering profanities, racial and religious slurs. The crew just turn a blind eye on this cause it could be that this person frequents here. But they also need to keep in mind that there are other patrons especially parents bringing in their kids. There was a guy in front of me that purchased a cake and said thank you to the employee, and she completely ignored him. He didn't look too happy and left. The girl at the register named Eunice lee was slamming the register, giving me nasty looks, and even grabbed my money from my hand when I tried to pay. Also slammed my change money into my hand. There was some bread behind her and I asked if I could purchase one, she scoffed at me and said no.If you aren't happy with your job, don't work there. That simple. Before I left, I glared at her and she mumbled why the f*ck is she grilling me for " to herself. Like wtf? You just treated a customer like crap. Im going to call the manager and complain. This place has food that is really good, but there are some items to avoid. I've learned the hard way when it comes to finding out which pastries were good and others that were not so good. For the most part, it is very good and I do come here often to grab some food. With regards to the cake, they are very tasty, have great presentation and not overly sweet. If you are planning to get a cake for a birthday or a celebration, I highly recommend the green tea chiffon cake. It costs $33. I also tried the chocolate mousse ($25) and it was quite good too. They also had many other varieties, but I did not get a chance to try them all yet. Probably one of the better cakes you can get in the Flushing area. With regards to the pastries, it's definitely worth it to get the one you want even though I wish the prices were a little less. The flaky crust pastry with the fresh fruit is very good. I've also had the roll shaped like a cocoon with the coffee filling inside. The plain flavored ones I found were not as tasty, so I'd go with the fancier looking ones. Please do not get their cheesecake. It's $6 for a serving equivalent to two pieces. It's not even all cheesecake. The top 1/4 of an inch is cheese cake and the rest is some type of moist crumbly cake mix. I was disappointed to not get much cheese from this cheesecake... Their pound cake costs $3.50 and you're better off purchasing some Sara Lee from your local grocer's freezer. Their drinks are really tasty, but a little overpriced. This place is always full of people, so the turnaround for the pastries are very quick. They always have an ample supply of bakers in the back to churn out additional quantities. read more

Well, I don't often comment on Yelp but I feel like this is a case where credit is given when credit is due. I just had an interesting experience there where the cashier managed to screw up both my order and my friends order and also gave us some useful life advice at the same time. When I exclaimed "what?" at the hot chocolate on my receipt instead of the hot milk tea I ordered, one of the cashier girls snidely commented "well, it's not gonna screw up your night." Touche Baguette girl touche, it's not going to screw up my night but that's not what this is about is it? Perhaps it's been a long day/night/week for the staff, perhaps it's the age and inexperience of the kids working in the bakery, or perhaps it's out of fashion to be polite and respectful to your customers, but is it too much to have my order taken correctly? I'm not sure if this is the new customer relations training they received in order to comfort the customer, it just didn't really come across to me that way. So instead of giving them the 3rd degree, a dressing down, and having the book thrown at them I quietly took my order out of the fear that some special ingredient would be added to my hot tea. After all is said and done, I'd still give this review 2 stars despite that wonderful staff experience. However, my corrected order of HOT milk tea tasted like something I could have made at home with cold water and an old bag of Lipton and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to pay $3.50 again for it. read more
