The price difference between the mini cakes and large cakes are almost indiscernible, so I got the bigger size. I got the chocolate strawberry cake. This cake was smooth, rich and not too sweet. I can't say I come to this Paris Baguette often, but I can say I visit regularly. So I am surprised I haven't written a review yet. First, I believe the address listed is incorrect. The Paris Baguette in Bayside is at 210-20 Northern Blvd. I visited today and the AC was overpowering. I was freezing. The place is self-service. I don't think you come here for the ambiance. The decor is very simple. I wish they would make the interior design more inviting. However, the eatery is very clean. The most important thing is the food. There is nothing to complain about here. There is a nice variety of pastries to choose from, and they are all delicious. I'll give this establishment 3 1/3 stars. By all means, go visit and enjoy. read more

A member of our party said that there was a strong "P" odor in the dining area, but I couldn't smell it. From what I could tell, staff restock items as they are ready, and keep the place tidy. The items are ALWAYS fresh and tasty. But, don't you feel that employees should know which ingredients are in the items being sold? One employee, while on the phone told me to look at the tag because he doesn't know what's inside of it. When I spoke with management about this issue, she defended him and mentioned the phone was due to an uber order. My point was that he should know what he's selling...no? This shop has everything we have come to expect from a Paris Baguette: a full selection of pastry and baked goodies, bright (not blinding) lighting that shine on the glass display case, a separate hangout area, and which and friendly service. They don't have their own parking lot but street parking is easy enough to find nearby. As for the goodies, the pain aux raisins, sweet potato pastry, almond pastry, red bean choux cream pastry, choux cream bread, castella, and walnut cream bread were all ace and we would get them all again. Food and bakery items were great. I tried to order cappuccino but their expresso machine was not working. I went to get a Hazelnut coffee instead which was just ok coffee with syrup squeezed in - ended up throwing it out. The service was good and they had three registers open and it was flowing quickly (even with what appeared to be someone in training). The floors and tables were very dirty though and could use someone keeping an eye on the seating area and counters by garbage/tray return. read more

Last minute request by my sister for a rainbow birthday cake. Where my other family members thought she meant rainbow cookie, I know she really meant an actual rainbow. Riding through Bayside, I immediately knew where to go for her request. Paris Baguette! I've been a fan of all their locations so far. This spot is super nice, clean and has the trays/boxes where you can pick your own sweet/savory pastry. I believe there was seating in the back, but I had my eye on the prize. I needed a rainbow cake! I actually placed the order on their website. It was super easy and you can pick your preferred pickup time. Even though it was super easy, I did make a mistake and picked the next day to pick up. Strictly user error. When I called to see if they could change the pickup to day of, there was no problem whatsoever! Another reason why this location worked perfectly? There's a parking lot! When I walked in I couldn't help but get more treats! Mochi donuts for the win. They had plain, strawberry, matcha and their newest flavor is coconut. They were a tad greasy but very tasty! The coconut milk was by far my favorite! The cake was a big hit! I wish I took a picture of the inside. Rainbow colors layered with light cream cheese frosting in the middle. This place unfortunately fell flat on multiple fronts. I hate to write a bad review especially in times like these but this place was really just not good. My friend got me a bunch of random goodies from here and here's my rankings of them, in order of least to most favorite- Strawberry Cake- 0/5- yes, zero. This tasted like cough medicine, possibly worse than that and I regurgitated it immediately. Crab Puff- 2/5- a sweet glaze on a puff that supposedly had real crab and not imitation crab in it...it's a pass for me. Mini Cheesecake- 3/5- not bad, but also not great. Took me a while to realize that it was even cheesecake because the texture was off. Almond Croissant (Roll)?- 3.5/5- again, not bad, but nothing special. Garlic Roll- 4.5/5- absolutely delicious. This is my favorite Paris Baguette location and also the closest to me. I've gotten so many different cakes from here for birthdays & parties as well as tried most of their pastries, sandwiches and drinks. Everything including the service were always consistently good for the most part. I don't remember ever having a bad experience. Don't forget to put in your order in advance if you want writing on your cake. The strawberry fresh cream cake, green tea blueberry chiffon cake and New York cheesecake are the cakes I usually get since their not too sweet and everyone seems to enjoy it very much. I like their egg salad sandwich, smoked salmon avocado croissant, choux cream bread, garlic sweet potato pastry and iced cafe latte. Place wasn't busy, latte came out tasted it and it was pretty much MILK. Asked worker if a latte is supposed to be this much milk hoping it would be corrected, but responded that this is how they make their latte. I asked ok then next time should I order my latte with less milk to avoid it tasting like just milk, and she said if I do that then they'll just add more ice. Ok then I guess I will never be back. You can tell when someone wants to help, but this employee clearly wanted to just continue her convo with her male colleague rather than actually help a customer. read more

Stopped in last night after eating next door. My daughter had been to their stores before but the concept was new to me. I've never been to a bakery where you could walk around and take your own individually prepackaged items. The store was very clean and neat and I was pleasantly surprised. We bought eight different pastries, that we thought looked good. Magic words there were 'looked good'. Although nothing was bad, nothing tasted as good as it looked. I read reviews that said the pastries were better in the morning. That would make sense as we were there in their last hour. I really liked the look of the place. They were tables on the side where you could sit down and enjoy your food. We took our things to go. I would go back again and possibly try something else. He even wanted to print in color but the color printer wasn't working. We ended up ordering the specialty cake - Berry Citrus Blossom Cake for pickup in a few days. They allowed writing on the cake which is a plus. The pastries are very delicious and delectable. The raspberry macaron paired perfectly with the not-so-sweet hazelnut coffee, which is self-served. I stopped by this play after having company dinner for a dessert. With the pastries and foods that are still in open area, I see employee dusting the ceiling. All my coworkers and boss were shocked. I live within walking distance from this Paris Baguette so I find myself here once a month or so to pick up a quick pastry. The pastries always taste better in the AM when they are freshly made. Only 3 stars because I have ordered specialty cakes from here on holidays and you do NOT get what you pay for. I pre-ordered a chocolate cake 2 weeks before Valentines Day. When I came to pick it up, they had run out of all of their chocolate cakes. The manager went to the back to look for an extra cake and five minutes later brought out a chocolate cake pre-packaged in the box. Through the plastic window it looked fine and I trusted that the manager wouldn't give me a bad cake. When I got home and opened the box it was clearly a cake that was meant to be thrown out. The frosting was smeared, there were fingerprints on the chocolate, and one side was smushed in. I took it right back and the manager wasn't even surprised nor did he offer a word of apology. The district manager then came out and assured me he was going to give me a refund (I prepaid for the cake on the website) but the refund never came. Thumbs way down. My tip for getting a special occasion cake is to avoid ordering from their website- this location obviously isn't on top of it. I would just to walk in, pick one of their available cakes, and open the box prior to leaving to make sure there is no damage. read more

Definitely one of my favorite places to get asian desserts. Came to try with some friends after we had some delicious korean food. The interior is very spacious and well lit. They have a good assortment of options ranging from savory to sweet. I immediately saw what I was looking for, their blueberry creme donut, which has become a huge favorite of mine. I also got the sweet potato and curry croquette which were both delicious as well. I took those home and toasted them slighty in the oven which gave it a nice crunch! It OBVIOUSLY isn't your traditional American bakery as it is Korean so they offer Korean pastries (which are delicious) and taste like the ones in Korea. -Their cakes are airy, light, refreshing, and fluffy and not too sweet or heavy like traditional American cakes. -their cheesecake is more similar to a Japanese cheesecake. It's so small and so expensive but sooo good! Definitely a nice treat here and there :) -fruit pastry! My go to every time. The fresh fruit on top mixed with the custard cream on top of that flakey croissant like bread is really good! -tiramisu donut is fluffy and they definitely don't skimp out on the cream inside -mochi donuts. Also delicious but expensive I'm sure they have their reasons but I personally buy half a dozen or a dozen at a mochi donut store nearby instead of pb because it's way cheaper This location has a parking lot which is really nice and every time I go to PB Bayside everything is always stocked and the bakery is clean and kept well!
