With so many bakeries around it becomes more difficult to stand out from the pack - since so many places make a wide array of the same items. I believe Paris Baguette has a nice upscale look to their locations, this one included although probably not as nice as my upscale fave French Workshop. Walking in it smelled a little musty and all the cases had heavy condensation making it hard to see the items in the cases - not very inviting. I had a little time to kill so I ordered some drinks with a friend. They make a flavorful iced coffee and my friend enjoyed her fruit flavored tea, but thought it was a bit sweet. We sat at one of the lounge style tables by the window and the little table was a bit dilapidated leaning to one side. All the tile and hard surfaces had a layer of wetness on them - just washed? condensation? I don't know. We ordered a special occasion cake - a heart shaped chocolate romance one. $27 and meant for 6 people so not very large, but cute nonetheless. The cake itself tasted a little dry and stale - perhaps it wasn't freshly made, or sat too long in the refrigerator case. Not really worth the money in my opinion. read more

Probably the worst Korean bakery I've been to. Before you come here, make sure to bring your own forks, knives, spoons, and/or napkins because often times, they are out. There are some menus and goods which require knives and forks. Some requiring napkins because of the mess they could make. Good luck to you if you find out there are no napkins and utensils after you make the purchase because they DO NOT DO REFUNDS. So you are stuck with food that you can't eat. I bought a salad once and I had to eat it with 2 straws, using as chopsticks. Thank GOD I know how to use chopsticks. I am leaving this review after numerous occasions with no utensils and napkins. I even left messages for the manager to fix this stupid issue a number of times, yet nothing for months. That's not all. They have the self fill coffee stations. So I buy the coffee cup only to find out that all of the coffee dispensers are empty. Sigh............ so I ask the employee to refill them. She was the only cashier behind the counter and what do you know, there were about 8 people in the line. She said she couldn't help me. So, now what? What the F did I just buy then? A good Korean bakery with plenty of pastries and cakes to choose from. As like other bakeries, there is a selection out that you can pick up yourself and then bring to the cash register to pay for along with pastries next to the cashier which you have to ask for. They have plenty of items that are also available at other Paris Baguettes in the area and are pretty good. There's plenty of seats inside as well as a parking lot on the side (which usually has available spots). Their cakes are very light and fluffy and they have plenty of different types to choose from! Just bought a cake for my brother's birthday. We've bought the cake before multiple times from this location without fail. The cake is always so good and we always finish it. Today's case was the worst. Ate half the cake until we saw a bug crawling out of the other half. Everyone was literally horrified. So disappointed and disgusted with this. Very bright, clean, airy, and modern cafe/bakery on Northern Blvd. in Bayside. Have been here several times and have never left disappointed. I love the openness of the place so you're not bumping into people or things. Their pastries are tasty without being too heavy. Many of the offerings are unique but you also have the classics/favorites available if you're not the adventurous type. I love that you can grab a tray, line it with paper on which to place your items, grab a pair a tongs, and go about picking up the items you want. This enables you to "browse" and take your time in making your selections without feeling pressured to hurry because you're holding up the staff or have customers lined up behind you. There are plenty of seats available and you get a great view out the wall of windows. This place is pretty good. The pastries are yummy and as someone who loves red bean paste they have good options for satisfying that craving... There is always plenty of room to sit and eat if you want to dine in. The atmosphere is modern and hip. The food is kind of like Panera bread meets specialty pastry shop. There is also usually a seasonal offering every few months. For example, I LOVE the green tea shaved ice bowl during the summertime. this bakery is one of my favorite on the style of bread business. this location is on the way to my school so i always drive here. they have parking for the customers and there is plenty of street parking as well. coming in you will see a spacious bakery with plenty of great carb choices to ease your heart. the buns are not on the cheap eats side so choose wisely what you wanna eat. not that any of these buns are bad tasting, far from it. theres also plenty of sitting space in the bakery so you can get your buns and have a sit at the sitting area and hang out, they also have free wi-fi and access to restrooms. their coffee is really good and you should also try if you get the chance. the things i think could be improved a little are the fact that the sitting area was very cold and a little uncomfortable to eat there as i got very cold. and a crazy contrast was the coffee, it was so hot that i could not drink it for a long while they should watch the temperature a bit. however overall this spot is perfect to come by and park you car really quick and get some goodies. i will come back as already do at every chance i have. read more

Both seriously didn't want to be there and only lit up with a smile once I put a dollar in the tip cup. Otherwise unhappy and glum and couldn't even break a smile for us. Oh and CLEAN THIS PLACE UP. I have picked up pretty large orders twice during the pandemic. I ordered two birthday cakes on separate occasions. The biggest problem I encountered is that the second time around, they gave us an entirely incorrect cake. I ordered a Strawberry Soft Cream cake for my mom's birthday, and when we took it out of the box after dinner and cut into it, we found out it was a matcha cake. My dad was really puzzled to see a green cake haha. By that time, it was already late, and my mom said she enjoyed the cake still, so we just continued eating it. The rest of our order was correct, so it's not like I had accidentally picked up a different "Michelle's" cake. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and efficient when I picked up my orders. Safe Covid-19 measures are clearly taken at the bakery, including pre-packaging all fresh pastries and bread in plastic wraps (which, of course isn't the best for the environment, but is a necessary evil during a pandemic). Everything at Paris Baguette is delicious. My favorite is the strawberry croissants. There are of course, also delicious Asian gems like red bean and matcha pastries. If you need something more filling, they also have tasty sandwiches and salads. Their drinks are good as well. Prior to Covid-19, the seating at this location is pretty ample and comfortable. Very impressed with the customer service! We ordered a bday cake for our dad who lives in Queens, but the order was cancelled last minute by the delivery service (Door Dash) due to distance. I phoned the bakery from Canada, and the gentleman on the phone offered to deliver the cake himself without delivery charge. We were so relieved and thankful-- it's hard enough being away from family due to COVID-19, and this gentleman really made our dad's bday! The limited selection of macarons was disappointing as that was half the reason I came here. My cappuccino was pretty perfect as they didn't overdo the foam or anything silly. I'm sorry, but the the Paris theme is taken to the extent that it's downright campy. People wearing berets with the most defeated expressions ever was a bit of a turn off. It reminded me of the unenthusiastic staff at the food stand found at any sort of carnival. Pass. You'll want to burn some of those pastries off by walking here because parking is completely non existent ! I had to drive quite a distance to find a spot that was close. There was no one on line when we arrived, so I went to the first cashier I saw and I greeted the young woman and placed my order, but she wouldn't accept it and told me to go to the other gentleman and I thought that was very rude and the other gentlemen gave her a dirty look for being rude. Any way, I proceeded to order my green tea shaved ice. My boyfriend and I were not at all pleased with the green tea shaved ice! It was a bowl of messiness and was absolutely tasteless! I've had one of Paris Baguette's shaved ices before and it was never as bad as this one. It literally looked and tasted like a dessert has gone wrong and clearly the staff didn't care what it looked like or what they were putting out for a customer. Remember those fresh pastries we all love? Yeah, well, odds are you are not gonna get your favorite. Show up at opening time and less than a 1/4 of the pastries are out for consumption. Why? No one knows. Show up at 11am or mid-day (tried them all!) and some of the pastries will have run out because there is no standard time to put things out, and they won't make more than the one batch they make a day. You lose. Customer service.... What customer service? Half the people working the register don't know what they are doing and you need a manager just to place a cake order. Parking? If you want to experience hell then park here. Patrons regularly cross over the lines they are supposed to be parked in, or park where it clearly says "Don't Park" so that when you try and get your vehicle out you can't without going inside and asking at every table for the owner to get them to move their car. Ask management for help and they will give you an annoyed look that signals they hate their life. My family and I have frequented this place many times and never disappoints. I bought a large Azuki Latte. It's a red bean latte with cinnamon. Delicious. A tad sweeter than I like but you can ask them to add milk or water. Then mix it up. We bought the creme brulee donut. Excellent! It was the perfect snack and sweet, the creme that oozed was spot on but it was small, just about the size of a cream puff. We also bought a box of mini croissants. They were light and airy. Flaky with layers of soft goodness. Perfect as well. There were various croquettes we wanted to try but just having lunch, I couldn't. But will definitely go back to try next time.
