We ordered two ham and cheese croissants and 2 fruit tarts one peach and one blueberry and raspberry. The first few bites of the croissant work great. As we started working our way to the middle we both kept thinking oh this is really weird they must've put cream cheese or something strange in it. What we came to notice upon further dissection was that the croissant was just raw in the middle. There were sections that were just dough. It didn't make for the snack we had hoped for. But at least we still have the fruit tarts look forward to. After we finished dinner we had it for the fruit tarts. I will save you looked gorgeous on the outside which was part of the reason we are so excited for them. However the first bite in the illusion was ruined. The tarts were dry and the pastry was crumbly and over cooked. I have actually never had a fruit tart that was literally a dry basket with fruit piled on top. The blueberries were so sour we ended up having to pick them off and the raspberries were mush. As if the crumbly overdone pastry wasn't bad enough they didn't even bother to make sure the fruit was in good condition. This place really needs to up its game. Customer service was excellent and friendly, and the pricing was very fair for the quality. I ordered an iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup alongside three treats... a pretzel baguette sandwich with salami and cheese, a pistachio pastry, and a mini lemon meringue tart. Since it's a classic French bakery, matcha isn't really their specialty, so the drink was a bit watered down and lacked that deep matcha flavor. That was on me for ordering matcha at a French bakery, but it was still fine to sip on! The food, however, completely blew us away. The pretzel baguette with salami and cheese was so delicious that my mom ended up going back inside to buy four more just to bring back to my grandma and uncle. The pistachio pastry was fresh, flaky, and packed with incredible flavour easily one of the best pistachio baked goods I've ever had. And the lemon meringue tart? Absolutely divine. I'm not usually a huge fan of lemon meringue, but this was hand down the best version I've tried. I'll 1000% be back next time I'm in the city. It tasted okay, it had all the components from the cream, lady fingers, and coffee flavor. Flavor was good, but it didn't stand out by any means. I grabbed a slice chocolate chiffon cake, chocolate stuffed cake, lemon strawberry croissant and a strawberry mochi donut to try. Loved them all. The chiffon cake and lemon strawberry croissant was probably my fav as they were airy and light and not too sweet. Such a delightful dessert.
