Yet, it was the zesty Mexican power bowl ($15.50) that drew me in. Yes, it contained kale (not massaged so my least favourite way of eating the fibrous green), but also roasted sweet potatoes, red peppers, rice, and a nutty tostada crumble. It's healthy but filling. Filling indeed as I had to get the rest to go, which once augmented with more salad mix was enough for a second lunch. The bowl also desperately needed more sauce. Despite containing black bean mole, avocado, salsa, cashew sour cream, and a cilantro jalapeno dressing, the kale was still tasteless and dry. Impact Kitchen seriously needs massage and "marinate" the greens beforehand. The added falafels (additional $5.99) were dense and baked - lacking a crispy crust that makes these snacks delicious. As a falafel they blow but as a savoury snack ball they're not horrible. Thankfully, our server asked if I wanted hot sauce on the side, that mild chili garlic sauce saved the day. Even then, I could only manage having one falafel at the restaurant and couldn't get through the others until I had a creamy dipping sauce the following lunch. Impact Kitchen's display case of baked goods drew us in and were surprisingly delicious for being gluten free. While I could have done without the sea salt on the chocolate sea salt cookie ($4.50), this was easy enough to dust off. Soft and chewy with a deep cacao taste, the cookie is the closest thing to a "sinful" dessert you'll find here. The almond protein brownie ($4.99) tasted "healthy" and the texture a bit crumblier than a traditional brownie... likely on account of the whey protein powder. If you can withstand temptation, save some for the next day, as it became tastier as the flavours intensified. Their matcha latte ($5.99) was beautifully presented, incorporating a rich green tea flavour and a creamy matcha dusted foam. It was one of the better versions of the drink I've ever had.

Food is great. You can add grass fed steak or salmon or chicken, tempeh etc to your bowl. Almost everyone had the Hero bowl with additions. It was filling and everyone agreed they would return Service is set up where you order and they bring it to you. It's fine. Ambiance was great as they had a really nice patio in the back. I also had a paleo cookie and it wasn't too sweet which I appreciated I'd definitely recommend and definitely interested in trying more things there

Fresh wholesome food with an interesting gluten-free and healthy alternative spin! I also liked their outdoor patio. Superfood Benny (4/5) - generous salad, interesting take with the tapioca waffle under the poached eggs, and their hollandaise sauce looked from orange and tasted different from what I'm used to. Huevos Racheros - my friend seemed to have enjoyed it and said it was filling!

I live nearby, so I have frequented this location quite often. Impact offers fresh and wholesome foods that taste great. I have tried quite a few of their bowls. You can create your own, but currently I tend to go with the Zesty Mexican with chicken added. They make their bowls to order and the service is quite efficient. I typically order take out, but I have dined in a few times. There is ample seating, the place is clean, comfortable, and it doesn't get too loud. Recommended if you find yourself in the Summerhill neighbourhood.

This is a pleasant find in this neighborhood. I did a pickup order this time. The weekend brunch menu looked interesting so I picked up the superfood benny with a smoked salmon add on. I enjoyed the salad and waffle. Poached eggs should have been runny as were on the solid side. They are on pan par with dine in options at this price point. What gives them an edge IMO is the fresh ingredients and the variety they used here. One can do a lot worse in this neighborhood for a lot more :) 3.5 stars.

I came here for a latte and to do some work. They have a delicious vegan cookie and oat or almond as alternative milks. I asked for the wifi password and got to work. I arrived at about 10:45 and by noon it was busy for lunch. It's a great place to meet friends or to do work.

A juice and smoothie bar that serves up frozen matcha!…read more I came here with one purpose only and it was to try their frozen matcha. The staff here were young but all very nice and welcoming. The frozen matcha itself was icy with really tiny ice pellets in it (wasn't as smooth as I'd like), but over I enjoyed the flavour. It was definitely extremely cold to drink since the ice pellets were larger than anticipated. The storefront is nice, selling lots of healthy snacks, whereas the back juice bar area had lots of seating. Overall, loved my very first frozen matcha here and could come back for more!

Twin sisters, Sydney and Ashley, founded The Hut in order to bring consistent quality products to the Muskoka area at first and now have expanded their business to Toronto. All the products featured in their shop are all curated with thoughtful ingredients and goods in mind. There are also some tables to enjoy your smoothies, coffee, and food as well. I stopped by The Hut Smoothie and Juice Bar on a Thurs mid morning. Upon entering the shop you walk past the many healthy grocery items on display where the cashier and coffee and smoothie bar is at the back. I decided to order a dragon fruit smoothie bowl (banana, dragon fruit, dates, and milk of choice topped with banana, strawberries, housemade granola, and natural peanut butter) as well as an Americano. My smoothie bowl and coffee were made at a reasonable time. The smoothie bowl was a good portion filled with the good stuff and I thoroughly enjoyed it (loved the housemade granola and the peanut butter!). My Americano was also made well. I sat inside enjoying my bowl. Overall, a nice addition to the midtown area for smoothies, coffee, and healthy snacks. Would return to try their smoothies!
