I have been through some periods of not getting my nails done or only getting pedicures. When I first moved here from California back in August 2021, I felt right at home! However after my third visit I noticed they lacked in customer service, treated their customers mean and would mess up and say that it's your fault for choosing that color. Rude staff, didn't even stay with one customer would jump from one to the other simultaneously! Talk about a health violation! Then when it came to the polish. It would crack and my cuticles were incomplete (bad manicure). I spoke up and got treated like shit. I told them just fix it, they told me they would have to charge me for a new mani/pedi!!! Sadly I paid and I swore to never come back. Trust me I never write reviews but I've never been so insulted and treated with disrespect and told that I had to pay for their poor manicure job just to get it right! The first picture is literally after they finished. No one would believe that was a fresh mani looks like a month old and the polish is hideous! Cons: - the pedicure chairs don't have massage just FYI - by far and away the price really shocked me. I got a pink and white fill, of just the pink, on my natural nails (no manicure, no cuticle fix, no nothing) and a pedicure (no paint, no touching my nails in any way at all) and somehow my total was still $128 before tip. I highly recommend this nail bar! The staff members are very tentative and friendly! It was refreshing to find a nail salon who genuinely cares about their customers! The salon itself was very clean and the staff is constantly disinfecting chairs and equipment. All staff members wore their masks and had the acrylic shields between the nail techs and customers. When I booked my appointment Ii requested someone, but they weren't available until the next day. So I was told I would have another female tech, but when i got to my appointment I go a male tech. I was on time and everything, but I didn't fuss. Overall the experience was nice but it could've been better. Accidents happen as you can see I was cut multiple times, you should still tip your tech regardless and try someone else. A friend of mine suggested me to Paris Nail Bar. At first, I was reluctant to travel to Morrisville, just to get my nails done.... However, It was the best decision. I normally see Vanna and she is beyond amazing. Often times when you have nail techs, you don't know them by name nor do you speak much. Other than to typical casual conversations. But Vanna is a friend. I love talking to her, we always laugh, she's warm and inviting. I also sometimes ask for wild designs, which she ALWAYS execute eloquently! Oh,and let me tell you about the environment! The entire aesthetic, mind you I am a designer, is absolutely amazing. What you see in pictures is nothing versus what you will see you in real life. They have an absolutely amazing menu of drinks to choose from, which they serve and beautiful crystal glasses... No plastic here! Every one of the staff members are hip, trendy and cool. Recently I visited again after 1 year and had an appt with Kaylin for the City of Lights Gel Pedicure. After living in NC for a year now I realize the nail spas are terrible. Paris Nail Bar raises the literal bar ! Not only is this place gorgeous but they do quality work and don't rush your service. Unfortunately I don't live close by and have to travel a little further. Previously I had a pedicure with Steven and he did a great job as well. Kaylin was kind, sociable, took her time and did a quality job. I love my feet. Kaylin asked me about nail shaping and filed my feet the way I like them: short and very square. I picked a beautiful neon yellow color for Gel. They have soooo many colors to choose from here. Kaylin gave a very good cleaning, the massage was perfect and I loved the parrafin dip. My feet were not left dry and she even used oil instead of the cheap lotion many spas use. Me and my mother stated coming here a few months back after looking around for a new nail place and the work here is spectacular. The entire place looks clean, put together, and stylish. We were nervous at first since COVID is still around but we didn't even have to ask about their hygiene because they checked our temperature and had us wash our hands the second we walked through the door. They separate clients with a chair spaced in between and have dividers up for manicures to keep staff and clients safe. After we were done the second we got up they began cleaning the chairs we sat in. I saw someone say they treat people of color poorly but as someone who is black they've always asked if I wanted something to drink and I doubt it was personal, instead, it was likely an honest mistake of not asking. They also have a menu that they offer if it's your first time that has all of their prices listed and make sure you know you can ask questions. The work here is always amazing and I regularly come every two to three weeks for acrylics and an herbal pedicure. They always do good service and if they don't like the way something turned out they'll wipe it off and start over. I've always felt super welcomed and haven't had any problems which is especially incredible seeing as I have an essential tremor. I shake super bad but they're always super cautious and work with me to make sure I get good work done. My skin also tears really easily but they're so cautious when they do stuff and I've only had one problem and they were super apologetic about it and thought they'd done something wrong but realistically it was just my skin acting up. The chairs for pedicures sit up a little high but they always make sure I get down okay and constantly check in to make sure I'm doing okay. The design work is always on point and they have a large collection of rhinestones and stickers and will talk with you if you have a specific idea in mind to make sure it can be done or you can let them go free and it'll still be amazing as pictured below. Their Instagram also has a lot of examples on the work they provide (@theparisnailbar.cary) and I constantly get compliments on my nails in public. My mom uses their Instagram to pick the designs she wants while I'm more ample to have something in mind or let them pick for me so it's really a place for everyone. The stylist are always awesome and I personally don't ask for anyone in specific solely because they all do such great work. I'm always happy to go and am always satisfied when I leave. The price is also a lot cheaper than the last place we were going and the quality is better and holds up super well. We moved recently and I only broke one nail on the last day after carrying 20-30 tubs down 4 flights of steps. TLDR: Incredible atmosphere, customer service, and cleanliness as well as great work that holds up immaculately. Will always recommend to anyone who asks. read more
