Definitely deserve all the good reviews they got. I walked in on a Monday evening. They were still busy but I got in after waiting for 10 minutes. My 17 year old daughter got a full set of nails for the first time at another nail shop about 2weeks ago. It was time for a fill-in. I was working so I sent her into PARIS nails. $65.00 later when she picked me up from work. Because she had never had nails before, the nail tech told her that she needed to remove the perfectly good set she had and start from scratch, she even charged her $10 to "SHAPE" the nails. I was literally spitting nails when she told me the things that they charged her. My daughter was clearly taken advantage of by these people and they offered no apology when I went in to question them about the charges. Ouch! I don't think I've ever had a more painful manicure. If you get Henry, ask him to be gentile with your cuticles. I've never seen anyone take off so much. I thought he'd realize he was doing too much after he made one finger bleed, but then he made two more fingers bleed. He had to keep stepping away to find more cotton balls to stop the bleeding. Other than the wounds, the manicure and pedicure were great. I'd like to think it was a one off thing that happened, but then I saw some other reviews mention it. When the lady at the front asked if I was happy with everything I showed her my nails. I did not make a big deal of it, just showed her since she asked, and she said, "Sorry. I have been going to this salon off & on for the last year. It has always been hit & miss with service. They tend to have at least a 15 minute wait, even with an appointment, and my longest appointment wait was over an hour. After that visit I didn't go there for 4 months. I finally gave them one more chance this last week, and I'm officially done. My daughter and I got pedicures for her birthday, and she wanted to add a manicure. The wait was 20 minutes for our appointment. The pedicures were nicely done. At that point, my daughter went off for her manicure, and I was waiting to get my toe art done. After a few minutes, my technician asked if I could wait 5 minutes for someone else to do the art, at which I agreed. 15 minutes later another technician came by, verified I wanted art and then sat down. This is partially my fault. He suggested a flower and I agreed. I went back to my book while he worked. When I looked down, he had placed flower stickers on my toes. Why couldn't they have just told me an artist was not available??? They were uneven, did not match the polish at all, and one was horizontal while the other was vertical. I am not good at complaining, so I went and checked on my daughter. She was just getting up and her nails looked great, but the sticker shock from the price was crazy. I'm giving them a 4 because I do believe for a $70 pedicure (Gel is $20 extra) , it should've been an experience to remember but it was pretty basic to me - nothing extra special . The top part of my toenails weren't painted so when I look at my feet from a certain angle , I can see my toenails still . They did shape them as square as I wanted them to be though . They need more drink (alcoholic beverage) options because by the looks of it , they have a bar but with no drinks to offer but coke products and water . The staff was pretty friendly as well ! I received a nail tech by the name of Tran and he used the drill to get rid of my cuticles instead of actually cutting them. Apparently an easier way to get through the pedicure instead of doing the work! He also did my pedicure fast because of course it was busy.He could not polish. He went OVER my cuticle. When that happens when the gel grows out it will lift and catch on things.Horrible experience! beware of this tech and others who use the drill to get rid of the cuticles instead of actually clipping the cuticles. read more

I went to Paris last week with my mom, I got my usual gel nail on my natural nail and she got a pedicure. To start on a positive note, everyone is nice and profession. The place is also very fancy and clean. Her pedicure was fine, but mine was not. I like getting gel nails as opposed to regular paint because I can usually get away with them looking great for 3 weeks. Well I went on a Tuesday and by Sunday my paint started peeling off from the cuticle. I've never experienced anything like this so soon, so it is quiet frustrating considering I spent way more than I usually do and it didn't last a full week. $35 not including a tip for something that doesn't last a week for a college student really sucks. I give them two stars for the beautiful establishment and coffee beverage selection but the quality Of service is piss poor and the manager MiMi doesn't understand the concept of customer service. Let me set the stage. Getting off of a 12 hour shift to make it to the salon on the only day I'll be able to get my nails done before a vacation. I showed the manager a picture of how I wanted my nails and she assured me her technician could do it (For reference, see picture of chrome polish ombré nails attached). The technician attempted the chrome ombré and it looked terrible so we agreed to just polish the whole nail in chrome polish. It looked great when I left the salon. Less than 48 hours later, while I had already left for my vacation, the chrome polish started peeling. (See photos). Now imagine you're on vacation, your birthday is the next day, and your nails look like hot trash, and you can't go back to the salon for them to fix it. I had to go to a local nail salon, have them perform a gel polish change, which cost me and additional $25 and lost vacation time I will never get back. I called the manager and explained my situation and she said she would only offer to "re-polish with the chrome" (why the hell would i do that?) or "$20 refund" (the cost of the chrome polish alone). She completely ignored the fact that I had spent $60 in her shop on my hands alone that day and then had to spend another $25 for a salon in Miami to fix the mistake of her technicians. She was unapologetic and her attitude was off putting. I went back to Augusta just to get my $20 refund via acrylic manicure and vowed never to set foot in Paris Nails again. So if you'd like to drink free coffee, tea and water in a beautiful establishment with faux marble floors and pretty chandeliers please, go to Paris. But if you actually want to get your nails done, and get them done right, stay far far away. PS. It's overrated . I went there again since I haven't been in a while due to the wait time. Now that they have a second location, I thought it would be better. The first visit I went back the pedicure was awful but my fill in was decent . I came back twice since then just for a fill in and they did an awful job . They charged me $10 for "extra long" nails but my nails weren't even that long I then wrote them because two of my nails broke in less than a week and I received nothing but a automated response . Now a week later, three of my nails are broken and I will never go back. They charge way to much to mediocre nails. UPDATE I wrote them again about why they didn't respond . They responded me and advised me to come in to get them fixed . I came in and had to have Cindy do my nails again who did an awful job the last time due to " low staff" Cindy started doing my nails and told me that I had to pay even tho my nails broke in less than a week. After arguing and getting the owner/manager involved they told me that they can do it for free this one time but they are not responsible for nails breaking . If I get my nails done and two days later my nails break , you are responsible for you old acrylic Every other nail salon in Augusta to ensure that your nails are good and fix them if it's less than a week . Not impressed. They honestly used a file on my finger nails that looked to be one they've used on every single person who walked in that week, heck month. Paid over $140+ with service charges and tips for the three people who traded off on me while I was there for over 4 hours getting a mani, pedi. The thing is I had called earlier to ask if I needed an appointment so I wouldn't have the long wait time problem-yet she said no we aren't busy you can come as a walk in. So I didn't make an appointment and literally was there all day because they had not enough staff to do my services. I swear, It's ridiculous the polish is already chipped and looking dull... 2 days later... will never recommend or go back. Guy didn't listen when I showed him picture or told him shape to be round square and rounded them anyway. i've been a faithful customer since 2016 and here are a few of the many reasons why i love them: 1) theyre always welcoming and friendly. they make sure youre taken care of the minute you walk in. they also have complimentary water/wine/soda! 2) i always call ahead and make in appointment because they can get really busy. 3) im always leaving satisfied. the first time i went i definitely noticed the slightly higher prices. no worries though! its definitely worth the price because very few nail salons in augusta are clean and careful with their work. you definitely get what you pay for. when compared to previous salons ive been to, they take their time rather than rushing through a service and almost butchering a finger or two in the process. 4) the salon itself is to die for. its very aesthetically pleasing and clean. cleanliness is very important and says a lot about a salon and its employees. 5) if you havent been here yet, dont walk, RUN to paris nails and spa! read more

Although this place is nice, the wait time and organization of this place is ridiculous. I only come here for one person because I have to. I wouldn't come here otherwise. Every time I make an appointment I have to wait like 30 minutes extra because the are always behind. I have made an appointment before and been 5 minutes late and they gave my girl to someone else and I even called but they didn't answer the phone. It is so frustrating to make appointments and then wait. Everyone has a schedule but making people wait over 30 minutes is insane!!! It doesn't matter what services someone gets if it's going to interfere with an appointment time then they shouldn't take a longer appointment. Made appointments come first before walk ins. I was really excited for my first time going to this salon. I told all my friends and posted the pretty salon on my Instagram. I went in with a picture of a previous customer who's nails look amazing and was so excited to have found such a good salon. But the experience was absolutely horrible. The front desk women was the only good experience I had at this salon. My nail tech never asked me what shape I wanted just did what she had felt. She told me I couldn't get the picture of that customer and had me choose another color. After choosing that color she then told me I couldn't do that because under my nails we're dirty... I thought she would clean under my nails so didn't know why that was an issue and picked yet another color. She then told me I couldn't chose that color for a different reason and then after me picking four colors and telling me I can't do that color she just ended up choosing a color for me. She then continued to cut my nails short and extremely uneven and lopsided which I thought she would fix further on. But after only thirty minutes I was told my gel fill was complete. Each nail was cut a different size and shape. It was the WORST gel fill, I have ever received. Every nail is so badly lopsided that the girl at the front desk had even agreed on how poor work it was and it was unacceptable. But proceeded to make me pay $50 for this gel fill. The under neath of my nails were filled with junk and were never cleaned out. The front desk women told me the nail tech could redo the nails but I didn't want to sit through that awkwardness if she couldn't take the time to do it the first time. The salon was empty on this Tuesday morning and had many employees on so I don't understand why they came out so rushed and terrible. I had a lot of people reaching out to me over Instagram when I got out after posting the beautiful salon, which I had to tell them all to not waste there time or money for such horrible service. If I could give Zero stars, I would. I have never had a more negative experience in a salon I have visited so many times. The manicurist blatantly ignored everything I told her that I prefer and that works best for my nails even after calmly telling explaining it three times. She threw what I would equate to a toddler tantrum threw her tools down and stormed off. She quit mid manicure and had another employee, Henry, take over. Henry did wonderful with trying to fix what she had done wrong but at this point I was ready to leave and had been in the salon for 3 hours. The receptionist attempted to call the manager/owner (Mimi?) to see what could be done but she did not answer and so a 10% discount was give but that still does not fix the fact that my nails are bumpy, crooked and my cuticles were not trimmed and I leave for a trip in 2 days. I was told I would come back and have them fixed but I doubt I'll ever return after the service I was shown today. Rude employee, a blatant disregard for what your customer is asking, and just an overall horrible experience would not make me want to return for them to "fix" what was done wrong. Great technicians work here. The prices are definitely on the steep side but are often times worth it. They have a good selection of gel colors, but be cautious because the colors don't always come out like the samples. The service is usually very prompt and fast but, as most places would be, it gets packed on the weekend. To avoid this, I just go during weekdays. They also serve drinks! Usually I just get water but it's nice to know they have wine and such :) definitely recommend this place! read more

The work is done well, but they need to improve their organization, scheduling, and cleanliness. In August, I made an appointment for 2 people to have SNS manicures. Despite an appointment for two, we only had one technician to do both of us...so essentially we just took turns watching the other get a manicure. The quality of the SNS is great, and lasts about 3 weeks, but the organization and scheduling is pretty poor. Two weeks later, I came back for a pedicure. My appointment was at 11, but they didn't take me back for 30 mins. When I asked why, they said unless a specific technician is requested, they don't reserve anyone to be available for your appointment, so any walk-in is served first. Paris nails has a beautiful salon. This was my first time there. I had a gentleman named Leo, he was not very friendly. When he filed my nails he also filed my skin. I was jerking my hand away a lot. I recently just moved to Augusta and needed to get my nails done. I came here and this is probably one of the most beautiful salons of walked into. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon and waited probably about 10 min. There were a few ppl already being taken cared of but not busy at all. One of the owners (his name was 'Man') did my SNS manicure and I loved it! Very interesting since it was my first time having them done this way. Initially, I went in to get my ombré acrylic nails taken off and to get a gel set but Man suggested trying the SNS and next time if I didn't like it I could just settle for a gel set. This salon is decently nice, very clean and nice to look at, plus you get a free glass of wine! It's only rated a 2 is because the lady I got didn't completely understand what I wanted. She was sweet and while she went a lil wild on the cuticles she was otherwise decent, however she couldn't do the gel and I had to wait 15-20 min after all the prep and cuticle care for another technician to come do it. The other tech did a decent job though, she was rushed, a lil snarky, and didn't get all the way to the bottom and sides of my nails. The price wasn't well communicated and was 60 for a gel pedicure which isn't bad but it's definitely not the best price. There are other places that are nicer and cheaper.
