A friend and I have been going to Paris Nails for years. We meet every 4 to 6 weeks for a pedicure and to catch up. I agree with all the other 5 star reviewers and have never experienced what the one-star reviewers (only two recent reviews) have said. The place and tools are clean; the technicians professional and friendly. We typically see Anna and Tu who are fabulous and fun. I occasionally have manicures, which Victoria does, and I have always appreciated her desire to keep the nail healthy and natural looking. Victoria also recently did my eyebrows, changing the color and shape. She gave me a much softer look, which I love. It truly is a great place. read more

Today is Prom Day. Made my daughters appointment on April 30th knowing it would be such a busy day. We got there early and signed in. About 5 minutes later they ask why we were here. I said we had an an appointment for acrylics at 10 with Vincent. She told me that there wasn't an appointment. I said I made it 3 weeks ago. She looked again and said someone erased it and they put someone else there instead. We could wait but it would be a while. No, "I'm sorry". No, "we will take you next". This place is bad news! Made an appointment 4 times and when I got there he forgot to tell the nail girl 4 times!!. So I had to sit there four 1/2hr This last time he hide his head and his wife yelled at me.... Awful awful customer service !! Will never return!! Never never read more

Paris Nails in Hoffman Estates is the very best in customer service. They perform great pedicures in new state of the art pedicure chairs with glass bowls. The manicurists give beautiful nail care. Yikes!! After reading other online reviews we had very high hopes for this place, but we were SORELY disappointed (both literally and figuratively). My daughter was looking forward to her first set of acrylic nails in honor of her graduation and instead of being a pleasant experience, it was a painful "lesson learned". While filing her nails, the technician filed her fingers RAW in five different places--actually drawing blood in three places!! Additionally, the shape of her nails was very "unique"--and NOT in a good way!! Several nails were lumpy, the shapes weren't consistent, and her thumbs in particular really looked fake. It's sad to think that she spent so much time and money to have her nails done here when we could have gotten a much better look by getting some press-on nails at Walgreens. However, on the bright side, she did have a pretty good pedicure (with a different technician)! read more

After going here for five years, I'm sure to never return again. I've seen it decline in customer service significantly. After making an appointment and not being seen for 20 minutes, I stated that I had to leave because I had time constraints---which is why I made an appointment. Worse than the appointment not being honored was the fact that the owner said nothing to me in regards to my disappointment. No attempt to apologize whatsoever. It is a quick turn-around place now & she had others coming in the door who could replace me, so she had zero concern for customer respect, concern, or happiness. I clearly can't trust they care about a customer having a sterile place if their only concern now is quick turn around. I have been a customer at Paris nails for a few years. Victoria, the owner, is very creative. She does the gel nails and no chip manicures and I am always pleased with the results. She makes everyone feel welcome, the shop is always decorated and you just feel comfortable. Yes, she does tend to run behind but she never rushes you out which in my book,is a big plus. This is a family business and her husband and sister are a big part of the success. They do fabulous manicures/pedicures and the shop is always clean. Don't hesitate to get an appointment. read more

I have decided not to go there after 13 yrs. they are not friendly or mindful of appts. People here rave about the owner victoria but I have never had her work on me. They do not have a good selection of colors. Their prices are higher than most. They are not open on Sunday. read more

Like most ladies, I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went here two years ago the day before my wedding with my bridal party. We were 5 minutes late and they made us all feel terrible. Then to top it all off everyone who came in that had a reservation after us was told "oh we are behind schedule because they came late" blaming it on us! I understand that being late can throw schedules off, but it was 5 minutes. They just do not know how to schedule appointments. So I'm back two years later willing to try this place again. Big mistake. I called at around 9:40-10 asking if they could take me at 12:00 for a full set pink and white gel. I was 5 minutes early this time and I walk in and tell her I have an appointment at 12:00 and she tells me "oh. I cannot take you now. You come back later (mind you they only had THREE customers getting pedicures at the time) I said "are you kidding me? I drove all the way over here knowing I had a reservation and your going to turn me away?!" She then states that "I probably said the wrong thing I wanted on the phone" blah blah blah. I have been a customer at Paris Nails for over 14 years! I love Victoria and her shop is right in the neighborhood and my secret get away from it all place every other week to pamper myself. The staff is friendly, the shop is clean and Victoria gives a great Pedicure! My gel filled nails always look their best and she's great with little art work on a nail to match the Holiday Season. What impresses me most is Victoria is always educating herself in her trade-- she is now a Certified Master Pedicurist-- and because of her skill and care-- she has cured my in-grown toe nails with the use of a "brace" that prevented the nail curling and now I have perfect toe nails! Because of her skill, I didn't have to have surgery to remove my painful in-grown toe nails. One other plus for being a regular customer is that I always meet neighborhood friends when I'm there. First and last time going to this place. My friend and I entered and I just wanted a pedicure and my friend wanted a manicure/pedicure. She had no chip on her toes and there seemed to be nobody there who knew how to remove the Polish so they just soaked her feet for 45 minutes. Meanwhile I was getting my pedicure. A reservation for 4 came in and because of them they had to time to do her pedicure. We just said fine well leave. As we went to pay I was told my pedicure was 36 (the cost of a deluxe pedicure) I didn't think I had gotten one since I didn't ask for it and nothing seemed deluxe compared to other pedicures I've gotteb. When asked why it was so much they responded well we had to remove the nail polish and she got more of a massage. Are you kidding me??? What a joke. I can't believe they charge more to remove nail polish. Ridiculous. Go some where else. read more

HORRIBLE!!! They had the nerve to gouge us for $75.00 per person for a mani-pedi. Pedi chair was broken and had to suffer with a massage roller jammed into my back through the entire pedicure. Worst Manicures we have ever got. We will never set foot in their again. read more

I have been coming to see Victoria for over ten years and will never go elsewhere. I drive all the way from Park Ridge to come see her, she is my girl! As a health care professional, I can tell you that this place is truly CLEAN! She uses all top of the line products, and will take as much time as needed to make sure your nails are perfect. I never have a problem with them chipping or breaking like I did with other salons. The pedicures here are also divine. I have had multiple people do them, and have never had a problem. They all do a great job and I love the getting the scrub! Victoria also specializes in diabetic feet, and different foot conditions so I am never afraid to recommend her to family. She even cured my cracked heels. They also do great eyebrow waxing. If you are looking for a shop that is clean, uses quality products, and have knowledge of what they are doing then look no further. read more

I went to this shop in June and got a pedicure. Two days later I was in immense pain and clearly had an infection in my toe. I went to a podiatrist who had me admitted to the hospital because the infection started to travel up my foot and into my leg. I was in the hospital for 4 days and was sent home with a port that went inside my arm and up to my heart for antibiotic administration. I had to have home nurses come to clean the wound and give me the IV antibiotics. My doctor said this was the worst case he had ever seen, and that I could have lost my toe or even my foot. I had to see a podiatrist, an infectious disease doctor, and a plastic surgeon. All of them agreed that it was caused by the pedicure. I lost 3 weeks worth of work. I've been going to this shop for 10 years, and my family and friends went there too. Not once have the owners offered to help me pay for my medical bills. They said they don't have coverage, and when I called their insurance (State Farm) I was told by the rep that they don't have coverage for this type of injury. Of course, I'll never go back again.
