This was a completely unexpected visit and expectation. The wine is so so so good and it is super creative! Based out of Paris, Tennessee, the creator of the wine originates an Italian New Yorker by way of Cali to Tennessee. He seriously knows his art! I took home the mango wine and the blueberry wine. Both sound diabetic, but they are far from! The unique taste of the varying wines would literally fit anyone's palette or budget. I am going to find who they distribute with in Nashville because it would be ridiculous if I did not take the time to get more wine from them in the near future. read more

We had an awesome time at the Paris Winery! Tucked away off the main road, so it's quiet and so peaceful! The scenery is just gorgeous with trees and vines galore! Plus, seeing and hearing the birds, squirrels, butterflies, and the rustle of leaves made our afternoon just great! After tasting a few of the 20+ wines they had in stock, we settled on the Music City Melody Blend, Peach Moscato, Merlot, and Zinfandel wines. First off, I have to say this place is one of a kind. It was the most beautiful winery that I have ever seen. And trust me, I'm a wino. In more ways than one. =) After sampling wines, I didn't find one that I didn't really like. I'm not a sweet wine person but I ended up with some in the Eiffel Tower wine bottle. Just because it was just that cool of a bottle. Old Muscadine I took several bottles of this home. It was a distinct flavor that isn't like any Mid-West wine. Almost taste like your eating those Catabwa grapes we have in Missouri. Yet still different. Muscadine grapes are something grown in the "deep south" and I now long to buy even more bottles. Their Reserve Cabernet was my second favorite. For the price I just couldn't buckle down and pay that when I can get my favorite Napa for the same price. We ended up with 7 bottles of wine and the people here was so friendly. If we lived close I could see me being a regular! read more

We stopped by here on our way back to Crossville from doing some hiking. We were traveling with our dog and they kindly let us in. They were having a mothers day weekend special - buy 3 bottles and get the 4th for $1. Sounded great, now lets try some wine! What we tried: Old Time muscadine - pretty solid muscadine, liked it Riesling - husband loved this one, said it is one of his favorite Rieslings, I was more on the fence with it, could go either way. Ruby Red - their port wine, awful. I'm not a chocolate wine fan, and this is what their port was. Sangria - I do not recall liking this one at all. Spumante & Strawberry Spumante - liked both, but preferred the regular spumante Moscato - I am a moscato fan, but theirs definitely tasted differently than others and I was not a fan. Music City Melody Blend - Blend of tower red and blackberry - I liked this one a lot. I did not try the tower red on its own, but I liked this blend. (Can't recall if I tried the blackberry...I'm pretty sure I did since my husband loves a good blackberry wine and we both liked it, but I just preferred the blend) Sweet White wine - loved this one! Paris Peach - loved this one, very peachy Peach Moscato (special) - it was okay, liked the paris peach better; had they not had the peach, I would have probably thought better of this one; I just like a very peachy peach wine, and their Paris Peach is very peachy! Apple (special) - just okay They had a lot that I liked and it was difficult choosing just 4 bottles, but that is what we did. We went with the Spumante, Music City Blend, Sweet White Wine, and Paris Peach. I would say average prices, some higher than others, but I appreciate the deal they were running. They also have some fancy tower wine bottles, but I appreciate they offer the regular bottles at a cheaper cost. My only request - supply paper menus. I know it is easier to give the laminated menus for us to write on and wipe off, but I prefer to take the menu to go with my notes so I remember when I do these reviews or when I do go back to the winery what I had and enjoyed or disliked. I think I did a good job recalling, but there might have been more I tried and I would specifically recall my notes. I'm sure we will be back when we are traveling through Tennessee again as these were some great wines with some great service. read more

The main reason I went to this winery is because it was located half-way between Memphis and Nashville and I was meeting up with high school friends that I had not seen in almost 20 years and they lived in Nashville while I'm based out of Memphis. Signage and directions to the Vineyard was great and it was a lovely sloping circular one-way drive that took you past their grapes before you reached the lower parking lot and then saw an Italianate style building that totally would remind you of being in Tuscany rather than middle Tennessee! The tasting is limited to 6 wines (but our server sneaked in a couple more, which was awesome of her). I loved the varietals they had - great mix of fruit, semi-sweet and some robust and big reds as well. From the tasting menu, I enjoyed the Blackberry, the Muscadine (like drinking liquid honey mixed with brandy) and the Merlot (reserve). Each flavor was unique and really pleasing to my palate. Surprisingly enough, I wasn't a fan of their Tower Red, which is their signature wine - I wanted to like it, but it was just too sweet for me. The staff on the tasting room were super friendly and knew their stuff - I also liked that 90% of the grapes were estate grown and they only bought in 10% from other parts of the US. My group was also invited to take a glass and then wander thru the vine saplings and we could also taste the different grape varieties if we wanted to! The restaurant on site was closed for the season, but it's menu looked good and I was impressed by the wines, so I really wouldn't mind coming back here again, despite the 2.5hr drive from Memphis! We visited this winery as part of the west tn wine trail and were not disappointed. The grounds are gorgeous! The building is beautiful and there are plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy your wine and a picnic. The tasting room is s bit small but the friendly staff certainly makes up for it. Six tastings are complementary so my fiancé and I alternated and took a sip of each others so we could try the semi-sweet and sweet wines. The strawberry was by far our favorite but we also liked the tower red, sweet white, and Spumante. We purchased three bottles and got one free - woohoo! We drank one bottle onsite and they were kind enough to loan a chiller and glasses to use. We wound up visiting for an hour and a half but I could see us staying longer and enjoying some meats and cheese with our wine next time. The drive from Memphis is not too bad, this is a lovely day trip I highly recommend. read more

This was my first visit to a winery. They have beautiful grounds here. Yes, it's fall and everything was shades of brown but I can just tell, ok? I sampled some wines and chose a bottle of reisling and a bottle of muskadine. The muskadine is divine! I wish I had bought two because I downed the first one in one night! I also picked up a cute wineglass and my Dad bought me a t-shirt for my birthday. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I stopped into this cute winery on my drive between IL and AL on Dec. 15. Purchased about $60 after a taste testing a few. I was very embarrassed when I took 2 of the bottles to Christmas Dinner. It had so much sediment in it we had to pour them out. Moscato and Sweet White Wine. Very disappointed because it tasted nothing like when I was there just a few weeks earlier. Most reviews here are good. But I wish I would have read the bad ones before I stopped. Nice stop - but be careful with your purchase. read more

Absolutely AMAZING little winery that we kind of happened across, while we were travelling through that part of Tennessee. The girls doing the wine tastings were INCREDIBLY gracious and outgoing! (I believe that one of them was the owner's daughter.) We ended up leaving with about 9 bottles of wine, and we didn't even plan on visiting a Winery that day! They have a great little area out back that is semi-covered, with lots of lounging furniture and tables, where you honestly could sit and spend all day, and sip your worries away! P.S. Came across this winery from yelp! Reviewers of Paris Winery said they had a variety of sweet wines, which I don't see very often coming from California. Every single wine Jasmine had us try, my mom and I loved. I've never been to a winery where I liked every wine in the tasting! It was so hard to narrow down our favorites. Stop by and you'll think you've been transported to Tuscany. Free sampling (rare), coupled with a friendly staff made this a most wonderful experience. We tasted 4 and went home with 4 bottles! A great family owned business. If you are in town or anywhere near it is worth the drive. They also have an Italian restaurant open on weekends and do weddings on the grounds. read more

Stunning grounds and vineyard when you arrive. Short walk from the parking area to the tasting room. The adjacent Italian restaurant was temporary closed when we were there, but we came only for the wine so no big deal. Sage was one of the kindest servers i have ever dealt with. The winery has a huge selection of reds, whites and a mix of sweet wines. I am not a fan of sweets, so i tasted mostly reds. Their version of a Chianti, named Vino Classico, was as good as it gets and for $15.00 can't be beat. After our tasting and and a no pressure sales pitch, we sat out under the grape arbor with an adjacent Italian style pool and Grotto and enjoyed a couple of glasses. I bought 2 bottles of wine. Each about $23. Neither one opened. Next day, one of the bottles leaked. The cork appeared to be damaged and was inserted almost all the way inside the bottle. I am afraid to drink the wine for fear it is spoiled. I called Paris Winery during business hours, no answer. I left a voicemail message. So far, no return call. read more

We had a group of 8. All 8 of us have never eaten here before. There were only 3 other tables with customers being served at the time we arrived. The waitress took our order, they did not have enough clean glasses for us so we all had a wine glass to drink from. We waited over an 1hr 15 mins for our salads, after I myself asked for our salads, we had 1 person in the group request a Caesar salad after waiting the said 1 hr 15 mins the waitress ask said person if she wanted her salad grilled! A Caesar salad grilled?? We were all puzzled by that! None of the salads came out together! Caesar salad being the last after everyone was almost done eating theirs. *The salads were the poorest looking salads anyone has ever seen or given to eat! Not even a handful of lettuce, 1 grape tomato sliced in half, 2 tiny strips of red onion. That's it! Next came the meals .... lasagna special. Most of our group had the special. On the menu it says sausage, beef in the lasagna. I ask the waitress about the sausage as I don't like it in my lasagna. She claims no meat then quickly changes her mind & says no sausage. We waited another 30 mins for our food. Once again none of the food comes out together! 2 out of the 4 lasagnas are burnt!No meat in the lasagna maybe a speck of ground beef, I asked for our garlic bread that came with the meal only to be told we already ate the garlic bread! 2 shrimp dinners had broccoli stems & 1 florets for the broccoli vegetable of the day. Something on the eye of the stove was burning, pots & pans constantly falling, waitress spilled tea on a person in our group. This was a horrible experience to say the least. Even after all that we didn't get offered dessert but I feel it should have been complimentary given the experience we endured! We left & had an awesome dessert with free coffee at the Olive Pit! Also waitress apologized for this being unprofessional but you can see your ticket but you can't keep your ticket of what your being charged! So strange. Glad we brought cash! read more
