He's never hit me with weird fees and is always upfront with what he thinks the project is going to be. He also does a really good job in explaining what's actually going on with your car. He's also upfront with whether there's a clear repair or if there's trouble shooting. The only issue with going to Brent is that he's super busy and you're not going to get the same turn around that you would in a commercial shop; but I just see that as the trade off for honest service and reasonable pricing. The transparency is so nice. I've been going to him for years. He's the only person I trust with my pink bug and he needs more press.

Then, after I got the issue fixed, I headed back to the shop to get my inspection sticker and they'd closed early for xmas eve! There was NO signage on the door. On the Friday following xmas, I headed out early before work to try and get the problem resolved again, and the shop was still closed with NO SIGNAGE stating they'd be closed- they also had no prompt on their answering service stating they'd be closed. They wasted my time with the poor communication, and I felt angry when the tech smiled while handing me my rejection sticker. Wouldn't recommend this chaotic, unprofessional place.

I know that and the car had been running and passing inspection since it was built. This auto repair shop saw a lady with out of state plates and maybe believed I didn't know anything about my car or wasn't instructed about cars, told me my whole passenger side tail light needed replacing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the housing . Thing is Im aware about scions and I know that if it didn't come from the factory and the car has passed many times in the USA before then it's optional. I just needed to pass inspection in Virginia. I refused the offer, they got argumentative almost offended. I thanked them for their service of changing my other lights that's out and came back to my car to find a rejected sticker inside my windshield. Then I noticed a big scratch on the inside of my trunks plastic where the taillight housing is- hmmm. So basically if I don't let them rake me over the coals I get a rejection sticker huh and damage? Replaced the flywheel & clutch but did not replace a bearing that was a part of the repair. 3k miles later, the truck began giving trouble again. Difficulty shifting. I took it to a mechanic where I live (FL), and got the shifter fixed. $800 job. that was fixed but the shifting issues came back almost immediately, and this time accompanied by a chirping sound. I took the truck back & my mechanic asked more questions about the work I'd gotten done. I hadn't owned a car in the last 10 years so I didn't know anything. He encouraged me to call them and find out what kind of work was done so they could see if it was related to that and if there was a warranty on it. I called and got a rude person who made sure to tell me that they aren't the same ownership "so WEEE didn't do any work on the truck," she said. I asked if she could get me the information, she put me on hold for 10 minutes, then we got... disconnected. I called right back and got somebody much nicer, who told me what work they did, but was unable to email me any of the information and I guess also unable to find somebody who could do so for her. My mechanic had to call them to get them to send along the information we needed. Turns out all the issues were from the shoddy first job. Great. Better still, it would be covered by the warranty. Turns out labor there was like $300 cheaper than the place I go to now, so I'm not saying you get what you pay for. More that Precise offers a good value when they do the job well (new management, so maybe they do) I understand new ownership means that's not their fault. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because they didn't do the shoddy work. They just wouldn't help me at all when I needed them to. My truck is running great now, so I hope you find a mechanic as good as the one I have now. Maybe it's Precise. I don't know.
