Took our 2005 Acura MDX in for a state inspection and was throughly impressed --Van was personable and congenial. He seemed to be pretty transparent with some potential customers who dropped in. I didn't get the vibe that they'd be looking to FIND any extra work off my 2005 vehicle. The other customers waiting were very complimentary and had been long time, repeat clients. I have been going to Westview for at least 15 yrs with multiple vehicle repairs.They have always given me a fair price and have done excellent work. What is also notable is that they have always given an accurate estimate prior to doing work and never did unnecessary work. I told them one time that I needed a new starter and they could have sold me one but no, they said it was just loose, tightened it up and saved me hundreds. Today they could have sold me two universal joints but only one was needed, so that's all they did. I will continue using them when I need repairs. read more

Oh please be alerted of a rip-off. I've been pleased with Westview Auto repair up until yesterday. I took my car in for inspection and it wouldn't pass due to an airbag light. I had them run the code, and they said it was the clock spring error. They told me to replace the spring they would have to discharge the system, replace the spring, and then recharge the system. I ask how much was it going to cost, and they said a little over $300.00. So I agreed to have the repair, and they told me they have a guy that comes to their shop and does the work in about 40 minutes. I arrived to the shop before the repair guy came and when he arrived he drove my car to the next strip mall parking lot to work on my car, (I thought that was a bit strange). So I wanted to see all he had to do to discharge and repair the spring, that's when he told me that most of the time it's just a couple resistor that need to be re-soldered back on the instrument cluster. It took him about 20 minutes to fix the cluster. So I paid my bill to West View, but on my way home I started thinking about the repair and how I was told that it would require a gas discharge and recharge plus the spring to cost me a bit over $300. So the next morning I called Van (the owner) about how I felt that I was overcharged for this service because the the repair took 20 minutes without any parts or gas for recharge. That's when Van said for me to come in and he would make it right. I went in later that afternoon but only find Kenny (the service manager)there. As soon as I walked in Kenny said "so you called Van this morning and want some money back", then he went right on the defense and saying how if I were to go to a dealership that they would charge me about $700 to do the repair. I don't care what dealers would charge, I just want honesty! I paid for a service of replacing a clock spring, but only got a couple resistors re -soldered in half the time quoted. I'm done with you! read more

Never having needed to do a state inspection before (recently relocated from out of state) I was a little intimidated, but I made the right choice coming here. My car did fail for a faulty connection with my airbag, but the owner pointed me to the right direction where I could get it fixed. I was able to come back the next morning and have them recertify my car. Honestly it was like working with a trustworthy Uncle. I will definitely be coming here again, and telling my local friends and family to do the same. We gotta support our local guys, and this place is worth supporting. read more

Westview has saved my butt two times this year! The first was by saving me tons of money and working within my budget. The other was by saving me from my dealership giving me a misdiagnosis on a repair. The dealership quoted me a ridiculously high price, so I check with the guys at Westview. Immediately, the man at Westview knew what was wrong with my car and that the price I was quoted by the dealership was way too high. Turns out that the dealership wouldn't have even touched my cars issue! Westview is it for me! I'm never going anywhere else. Great prices, and amazing honesty. I have been going to Westview for over 3 years. My friend referred me to them, and I have been impressed with the outstanding service they still give me today. I go there for 1st, 2nd and 3rd opinions on work I may or may not need on my car, oil changes, tire trouble, AC trouble, state inspections, you name it. They are very reasonably priced and get my car in/out in a jiffy. I recommend an early morning drop off so your vehicle will be ready later that day. They do a fantastic job with calling to communicate the status of your car, and also do not rob you for services you do not need. They continue to tell me that I do not need to get anything fixed, that sometimes it's just normal wear, whereas other places or dealerships will tell me I MUST get it replaced or else (?). So far, so good! I will continue going to these amazingly nice and knowledgeable people who know humans, budgets and cars. read more
