Been wanting to try this place for a long time! Glad I finally did during an overnight stay in Seaside Park. I arrived at 730a on a Monday morning. I happened to be the only one there when I walked in, but on my way out there was a line of about 6 people. There were quite a few girls behind the counter who moved very quickly once other people starting coming in, so I believe it when people say the line moves fast. I picked up two crumb cakes (one iced and one regular), an iced cinnamon roll, pecan roll, and a white cream filled doughnut. I thought the crumb cakes were okay. I agree with the other reviewer who said that they wish the cake portion was richer. The pecan roll was doughy. I love pecan rolls but this one definitely tasted slightly underdone. The white cream filled doughnut was also doughy. I like doughnuts that have that fresh "fried" light crispy texture on the outside, and a soft inside. This didn't have that. Instead it was soft and pillowy throughout. I don't think I've ever had a doughnut like this before. If that's how you like your doughnuts, this one is for you. Also, FYI the creme filling is marshmallow fluff. I kind of wish I had known this. My favorite from the bunch was the iced cinnamon roll. It was fantastic, until I got to the middle of it which was underdone. I know Cinnamon rolls are softer in the middle but this was more like raw dough. Maybe I went on an off day? I'm not sure. That being said, if you are in the area and have some time, this place is worth a try. I would come back again and try more stuff. The place itself is super cute and it sort of transports you to a simpler time which is why I'm glad I went. Their pastries are either hit or miss. Price point is definitely reasonable. My order was about $7.50. The girl also told me that they accept credit cards. I'm not sure what the minimum is though. I should also add that if you plan on getting a bunch of things, ask for a box (if you want a box). I didn't ask for one, so the girl helping me out put everything into paper bags. read more

Start your day with some of the best Crumb Buns and Donuts at the New Jersey Shore.. Crumb buns baked fresh all morning with and without powdered sugar and all their donuts and various pastries are excellent. Breakfast sandwiches can be ordered but they are so busy there often it takes entirely too long to get them during busy times. Excellent local bakery! Their hoagie rolls and hard rolls are delicious and perfect for sandwiches on the beach. Decent bagels too! Also very reasonably priced. This is probably my favortie bakery in Seaside. The line everyday is out the door! If you don't get here early you will wait for hours. If you ask for 8 rolls it will take 10-12 minutes at a time. As Homer Simpson would say "ohhhhh donuts"....But the white crèmes are the most tastiest little things they have- buy a tray! A fun place to go and most times crowded-especially in the morning. There is nothing here that is not good and there is plenty of friendly help and the wait usually is pretty quick. They always have local papers and magazines you can pick up for free which is nice. Park Bakery is known for their crumb cake but everything here is absolutely wonderful. Their donuts are so soft (you'll feel like you're doing something wrong in life going from Dunkin's donuts to Park Bakery's) and their cookies are phenomenal. This is definitely the place to start your day down at the jersey shore! The crumb buns are legendary, the cheese cups divine. This place is very busy with a long line, but it moves quickly. When In Seaside or Ortley Beach take a ride to The Park Bakery for the best crumb cake in NJ hands down (Vacarro's in Clark , NJ is very good too mind you in the crumb cake realm). Been coming here since i was a kid with my grandma when we lived in Ortley over the summer. It was either OBCO's in Toms River or Park on sundays. Yummy memories, and the owner is a Chiller Theatre fan he has horror and music celebs autographs on the wall and a talking animated moosehead to boot. has tv celebs like Butch Patrick and more recently 2 ppl from lost in space in for special signing ops. had the vehicles and Robbie the Robot too that day bummed - I was their the day before. other pastries are great as well - Enjoy! read more

I've been coming here for years, and it never changes. An old school bakery, everything is always fresh. Crumb buns are among my favorite as are the cheese cups. The cinnamon rolls are great. The bread is fantastic, and the cinnamon bread makes the best French toast ever. The line is usually out the door, but it moves quick, they usually have about 10 girls behind the counter, and ordering can be a little confusing.
