(3.5 stars if I could) I was in town visiting my grandpa who was in the hospital. I decided to explore the neighborhood, so I went on a walk to see the town. I was hungry and ended up at Park Bros. I felt the price was pretty steep for a bagel and a coffee. After leaving, I was sad to find that my bagel was not toasted. I don't know who these people are who don't like their bagels toasted, but they're not my people. I think what bothered me about it was that I wasn't even asked if I wanted it toasted; it just was given to me however they decided. Add to that, my expensive drink mostly just tasted like steamed milk; there was barely a hint of espresso in it. Pros: the inside is really cute. I liked the design of the menu. It was really clean. The ladies working there were nice enough. Cons: priced on the higher side, a bit of a wait, food wasn't prepped how I would've preferred, drink wasn't great. While my experience wasn't completely BAD, I think if I were in the area again I'd probably give something else a try; I actually walked by one or two other comparable places. read more

5-stars for the Cardamon syrup alone! We stopped here on our way to Lake Placid from Ogdensburg for a little pick-me-up. Lovely little coffeeshop. True to its name, the vibe inside is indeed like a little "lab," with minimal decor serving pourovers, lattes, cortados, regular brewed coffee and even fancy little shakes with ice cream and espressos to keep you wired. I opted for a regular brew but asked if they could do a version of their "Cardamon" iced for a regular brew and they happily obliged. The caradmon syrup they used was tasty and definitely a bit on the sweet side, but it made for a unique and flavorful morning brew. Glad to see Park Bros Coffee doing well. The coffee still tastes just as good as it did when it first opened. The pour over was so smooth (the Ethiopian blend was delicious). Give the blueberry muffin a shot, too. The Great British Baking Show would be proud of how the blueberries were throughout the entire muffin and not just at the bottom. Park Bros Coffee Lab is without a doubt my "Coffee Sanctuary". I have been a fan of this place since it first opened its doors in 2015. Ambiance: Park Bros. is a warm and inviting trendy hot spot in Potsdam, NY. I would describe the interior as modern hipster...if that's a thing. Customer Service: The Baristas are extremely knowledgable of their product and are very pleasant to engage in conversation with. They don't rush your order and listen attentively to make sure your drink is being crafted exactly to your liking. Coffee/Espresso: Their coffee is delicious, but I think what truly sets them apart from others is their espresso. It is the tastiest and most aromatic espresso I've ever tasted. Rich and savory are perfect words to describe it. I honestly hold other coffee places up to the Park Bros. espresso standard. As basic as it is, I usually grab a Cortado. It is absolutely perfect. They do change and update their menu from time to time incorporating local resources which I think is great. read more

I've been here a few times and every time they make my coffee perfectly! I am very picky about my coffee and it needs to be just right. I usually get the iced NY maple latte or the iced white mocha latte. The staff there are super nice and will make any adjustments to your liking. They combined with a bagel shop and now are serving delicious bagels and they are super filling! The place is cute, clean, and covid safe. If you're ever in the area I recommend getting a specialty bagel and a coffee or smoothie for breakfast. read more

Nice place to eat. We dined in for breakfast. Booths were separated for social distancing and hand sanitizer was provided. Staff was very nice. Ordering did not take long. I had the Brooklyn with sausage on a bagel. It was delicious. My spouse and daughter had bagel with cream cheese and it was also delicious. I drank the mocha expresso and it tasted great. My spouse and daughter had the hot chocolate but it was on the watery side without much flavor. We will eat there again next time we visit Potsdam. Give it a try. The bagels are great. read more

Park bros has disappointing beverages every time I get one from there. The flavor is almost always of poor quality and if it's a cold or frozen drink it is almost completely melted by the time I get to my car. In winter. The service there is acceptable time wise but the workers are usually less than friendly. The only thing good about park bros was the merger with The Bagelry. The people who enjoy Park Bros do so for the aesthetic, and not the quality of products. read more

Ive been here several times by meyself with very mixed thoughs about quality and service. But I think something needs to be said about the owners of this buisness after my most recent interaction. This last time when I needed coffee I brough my girlfriend with me and made the mistake of holding her hand in front of the two. Who proceded to throw dirty glances at us we got so uncoumfortable we felt we needed to leave. Im guessing since this is the same two men who just tried to open a quite fanicatical and outgoingly prejudice branch of christian superchurch in canton I fear our treatment wasnt not an accident. None the less im now quite of put about purchasing from 'The baglery', 'Park brothers coffee', 'Hot tamale' and 'Anastasia bakery' in madrid, and may boycot these places as they are all owned by the same people. I came into the shop looking for a frappuccino and they didn't have it on their menu. When I asked the young lady at the counter if she could concoct one for me, she agreed. I should have just walked out when I didn't find it on their menu. It was disastrous to say the least, not to mention it was grossly overpriced. The cream was too creamy and left a greasy aftertaste on the palate. The coffee itself was too toned down by ice cream and milk, and after a while, it tasted just like ice, milk and ice cream without any coffee whatsoever. I always tend to think that coffee shops should be judged by their cold coffee and not the warm ones (warm ones are almost impossible to mess up), and I was proved right once more. read more

The decor of this place is fantastic. It is a very clean modern coffee shop. My friends ordered a special coffee (I cannot remember the name) but they loved it. I ordered tea and was given loose tea leaves, which is rare for a lot of places around here! I was given a pot with the tea lives and a timer to let me know the perfect time to pour it out into my cup. This is my new go to coffee place. Potsdam is lucky to have a coffee shop like Park Bros! The shop is worth visiting even if you're not a coffee/tea drinker because the space itself is very well-designed and full of really interesting design cues. In regard to the coffee; it's fabulous. They source and roast their own beans and most of their roasts are on the medium to light side so you get very colorful flavor (not present in the coffee that the rest of America "runs on"). Their specialty drinks are creative, and you should definitely try the Matcha Green Tea Latte. Also, I simply must mention the guy's review about the Frappuccino®... Starbucks owns the trademark to that drink, so no other coffee shop can put it on the menu even if they want. I'm in love with this place. The food and the people who work here are first rate. I keep discovering new items such as the scones that are wonderful. I highly recommend the blueberry ones but they all look yummy. When in town (I live on Long Island) I always get the breakfast wrap (and while they may only serve one style of coffee it's good coffee with a couple of free refills too). This is the only gluten free wrapper that everyone will enjoy whether or not your gluten intolerant like our son. I also love the carmelized turkey wrap. read more

One word to describe this place: Heavenly! Ever since this place was introduced in 2015, I've been coming down here for great lattes, scones, muffins or anything they have! Along with how delicious everything is here, the baristas here are some of the friendliest people in the north country. The jazz ambient music here also really soothes you when stress gets too much. One thing I would love to see would be some variety in the type of beans used in the espresso drinks though. As an experimental shop it would be nice to see them offer some choices in this. I dont think I've seen other coffee shops do this, but why not be the first, unless there is something difficult about swiching beans in the espresso machine? There is something about the basic coffee bean type used in the drinks that I don't fully like. This is a minor point and I still love the coffee and go there often. read more

What an amazing little coffee shop in this small town! I was in Potsdam visiting a friend over the weekend and she recommended this spot to grab a coffee, but instead insisted I tried their masala chai. I was taken on a flavor ride after taking one sip of their masala chai. It's hard to believe such a place exists this far up in the middle of nowhere, since from the inside it looks like something that belongs in NYC in the Lower East Side or Williamsburg. The concept of the store was lovely and modern, and it fit the environment and surroundings of the town, which is near the Raqutte River and Adirondack State Park. I wish there were more options for teas and coffee because I felt it was kind of limited to just a handful of items. They should also work to bring more baked goods or treats to their shop to pair with their coffees, perhaps from local bakeries etc. They should also offer wifi, because I wanted to check out what was in the area but there was no wifi available. Overall, I would come back to this place and would recommend it. read more
