I was hungry and ended up at Park Bros. I felt the price was pretty steep for a bagel and a coffee. After leaving, I was sad to find that my bagel was not toasted. I don't know who these people are who don't like their bagels toasted, but they're not my people. I think what bothered me about it was that I wasn't even asked if I wanted it toasted; it just was given to me however they decided. Add to that, my expensive drink mostly just tasted like steamed milk; there was barely a hint of espresso in it. Pros: the inside is really cute. I liked the design of the menu. It was really clean. The ladies working there were nice enough. Cons: priced on the higher side, a bit of a wait, food wasn't prepped how I would've preferred, drink wasn't great. While my experience wasn't completely BAD, I think if I were in the area again I'd probably give something else a try; I actually walked by one or two other comparable places.

Knocked on the window to ask what time they closed, and the young girl working (high school) said "9:00". I looked at her a bit puzzled and said it wasn't 9:00 yet. She responded by saying "a lot of the workers are in high school, and we start closing before 9:00 so we can get out of here." I kindly but with a bit of frustration explained that's not how business hours work, and that I felt it was poor customer service. She looked at me like I had three heads, said "OK thank you" and closed the window. The woman sitting eating her ice cream looked at me and shook her head. I shook my head in agreement and walked to Stewart's where the girl working served me with no attitude and a smile.

It's hard to resist buying mugs and coffee to take home. The cookies were so hard to resist we bought some to keep us snack-happy on our travels. Definitely a good place to stop.
