This is a nice place tucked away on Pearl Street and Jewell. This is definitely a jewel because of the neighborhood feel without the fanciness. They're doing burgers right and you'll find something you'll never had between the food and drinks. The workers were very friendly and provided great service no matter if it's FOH, BOH or the servers. GETTIN' FIGGY WIT IT Fig jam, brie, bacon, rosemary, arugula with an order of small truffle fries. She enjoyed how balanced the sweet and savory with this burger. The flavors complemented each other and the truffle fries were crispy but not overly fried. PARK BURGER I had the 1/3 1b. beef patty with lettuce , pickle, tomato, onion, burger sauce with an order of small tater tots. The burger meat was rich with flavor and not dripping with fat. My friend and I always try to go to Park Burger when I visit. She recently moved and was looking for directions to the one we've been to before, but much to her surprise and delight (I think!) she found that this one was closer to her house. I really liked the atmosphere. It seemed smaller and quieter than the one we'd been to before, and the staff was very friendly. Park Burger is a solid burger joint in Platt Park. There is plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating too, depending on the weather. I personally love tater tots and love to see them on menus. I also love when you can add toppings to customize them. As this was our first time at Park Burger, we opted to get the plain ones. They are very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I must be one of the few that prefers a "soggier" tot (yes, I do like a partially soggy MCD fry too) but still, I thought this basket of tots was good. For the burgers, I got the Bourbon Bacon Jam and my husband got the Park Burger. It was the garlic aioli and arugula that got me with the Bourbon Bacon Jam - I normally don't like sweet and savory things together but this was tasty! Even though I seldom opt for these items, I finished the burger. They aren't giant either! Paired with the tots, I was full after this meal. My husband said the Park Burger was very good and he has actually brought it up a few times since we went a few weeks ago. I had a few bites and it is definitely a classic burger, no frills. Even on a busy Saturday we had a great experience at Park Burger on Pearl Street! In the midst of Octoberfest chaos we were seated immediately at a table near the entrance and received service right away. We both opted for the classic park burger with American cheese. We both asked for medium rare burgers but only one was actually medium rare-- the other was well done. Despite this mistake, the burger was still juicy and the condiments were tasty. I got the mini park burger and substituted raw onions for shoestring (pro hack they don't charge extra this way). The truffle parm fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. My milkshake was delicious they make the strawberry sauce in house and the whipped cream was so fluffy. He ordered a burger with pepper jack, fried egg and caramelized onions. I ordered the blackened ahi tuna burger (seared) with no tomatoes, add cucumber and avocado. I inhaled it. I suggested they make it a menu item lol you should try it. The flavors really worked. One thing that I didn't expect was that the aiolis seem to be bleu cheese based, not mayo based, which I normally wouldn't like but it really worked with the flavors of everything else. Hubs requested to come here for Father's Day. I decided to go with the wings- which are really good, but they are small and pretty pricey for what you get. Hubs ordered the EL CHILANGO: 1/3 lb. Patty, Cheddar, Jalapeños, House-made Guacamole, Tomato, Onion, Lettuce Sounded super tasty but the cheddar was on top of the jalapenos so didn't really melt, and the patty was pretty dry. My daughter had the kids burger and she said she liked it, but left part of it because it was overcooked. The fries were pretty good- addicting, as fries are known to be! The main complaint is with the service as we were seated and then had many waiters and waitresses walked by our table or somewhere between five and 10 minutes before anybody Helped us at all. Lower your standards for Park Burger on Pearl St. Sunday afternoon @ 12:noon, we walk in and the first thing we noticed was there were tables available for immediate seating. Although it's been awhile since we've been there, that was never the case on a weekend afternoon. I was greeted with a "hello", and I responded with, "hello, how are you?" She immediately, responded with, "I'm fine, how are you?" From there, I was hoping to hear something familiar that you would here from a restaurant hostess, like... "Would you like to dine with us", or maybe lowering my standards to, "How many in your party"? Instead and in a very stern and condescending tone, the hostess loudly said, "Is there something I can help you with"? We were seated immediately and our orders were taken just as quickly, a burger, a chicken sandwich and a basket of fries for the table. The burger came out within 20 minutes and we were told the rest of the order "is on its way". About another 20 minutes, and no "rest of our order". We asked to see the manager. There wasn't a manager on duty, so the server sent their "Senior Server". I explained my burger was now 20 minutes cold while we wait for the rest of the order. She explained, they have no heat lamp so they bring out the food while it's hot. The chicken sandwich takes longer to prepare. I responded, the solution isn't to bring out the food when it's completed, but to start the burger after the chicken sandwich has been started. Her response was, "that's not how we do things here". Apparently, bringing two sandwiches and a basket of fries to a table at the same time is, "not how we do things around here". It took another 20 minutes to get the chicken sandwich, fries, and the same burger they took back to the kitchen to have re-made, but sent out the same burger. This is why you can now get immediate seating on a weekend afternoon at Park Burger on Pearl St. Those who still come here, have lowered their standards to this lack of customer service. read more

We're big fans of Park Burger but this was our first time to this location. We were able to get a spot for two right away on a Friday night, near the TVs which made us happy as it was in the heat of March Madness. As always, the staff were super friendly and attentive during our meal. We love the tap list and that there's always something for everyone. We ordered truffle fries and sweet potato fries, as well as burgers (the gettin figgy with it for me, BBQ burger for my fiancé). The food came out quickly and of course it was all delicious. Hands down the worst burger and experience that I have had in years. I will preface this review that the restaurant appeared to be down a waitress or two. Regardless, I ordered a simple cheeseburger and my son ordered the double. When our burgers arrived, we cut into the burgers and they were rock hard (as incompletely overcooked), buns were stale, and there was no seasoning. I sent mine back and the second one came out even worse and without cheese and toppings. They are decently priced but not a fan of the fact that you have to order fries separately I wish they came with your burger but the fries are a necessity so don't skip out on the side order. The waitstaff are attentive and helpful, they gave some good recommendations for us and were helpful with the menu. The burgers we got were the Birria burger and the black pepper burger. I think out of the two I really like the birria burger. This burger had birria on top of a burger patty, it was juicy and super flavorful. It was topped with tomato, cilantro , and onions. I've been to Park Burger many times. While the burgers aren't always great, they're usually at least ok. Tonight they were really good, hats off to the cooking crew. The burgers have gotten considerably smaller, and the serving trays leave a lot to be desired for an upscale burger, but oh well. Sometimes the cocktails are amazing, sometimes not. Tonight my $16 Old Fashioned tasted like whiskey with sugar syrup and lemon. The truffle fries are consistently wonderful, I'll give them that. But the service! The service is consistently mediocre to terrible. There was one greeter there (reddish dreads?) who served us water when we came in last Tuesday night. He is consistently very welcoming. Then our server Paige came. She seemed ok at first, but then this thing happened which always seems to happen there. She checked on us once, and then disappeared for 15 minutes, nowhere to be found. My son went up front to ask for help ordering his root beer float, which we'd told the server we'd put in an order for at the end. They took his order, we sat back down, and another 5 minutes went by and our server came with our bill. We paid, and I noted that the float was indeed in the system, and then we proceeded to wait another 15 minutes with no float in sight, despite the virtually emptied restaurant. I went to the front of the restaurant and no one even saw me standing at the host spot for another 5 minutes. Finally, the manager, who was on his computer at the bar, asked if I needed anything. He called over the second server who'd taken the float order, confusion ensued, more time passed, and so then my son came up to see what was going on. By the time we got back to our table there was our server, clearing our table! We asked why she was clearing our table even though we hadn't gotten our float, and she mumbled something about getting us more fries since she had already stuffed our napkins into our fry basket. I said, No, we just want to continue our meal and have our float. She didn't even put our things back in place, and just left our un bussed table in disarray. Finally, the manager came back with a glass with a half a cup of soft ice cream in it and a bottle and apologized and mumbled that he'd take the float off the bill. He never did. There were at least 4 other servers walking by throughout our meal who not once scanned tables. Our server was just gone. I was in service for over 10 years myself, and can tell you that continually scanning tables for customer needs is a bottom line expectation at any restaurant if you're in service. Customers are fully dependent on you serving them. If you don't tend to them they can't eat. It's pretty simple. It felt clear to me that no one really wanted to be there. And sixty seven dollars later, I wished I hadn't already left the 18% tip. read more

And they have the Bread+Butter chardonnay, which if you do not know, is so buttery that it not only defies logic, but also can convert a non Chardonnay Drinker to one. The service is always on point, the aesthetic and Decor are fun and delightful, and although at this location the stools in the front of the business get flipped up onto the counter earlier, they are open until they're stated hours in the back by the bar always.
