Overall really good experience. Found parking in their lot. I was out for the day with my daughter and we decided we needed a snack. We stopped in here. We were welcomed in and seated. We looked over the menu and decided on the "Holla" Peña Lollipoppas. Bacon wrapped shrimp lollipops stuffed with cream cheese & jalapeño, served with a raspberry jalapeño jam. Yes, please! This was the perfect snack to keep us going on our day's adventures. the shrimp and bacon went well together, the filling gave it the popper flavor and that hit of sweet from the jam brought it all together. I would like to come back again to try some other items on their menu. Most excellent stop.

A mild poodle. Maybe it was an off night, but everything was off. The service was slow, first off. Drinks took forever. I don't want to say our server was slow, but she wasn't really present, and thus our service was slow/off. I love the chicken sandwich here with the buffalo sauce, but there was almost zero buffalo sauce on it this time. The fried parts all fell off while trying to eat, and so I was left with a normal chicken sandwich. One bright spot was the egg rolls, as always, and the buried fries. I love Brutal Poodle, but the other night was an off night for sure.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! Brutal Poodle has been listed in Westword's best bars in Denver a couple of times now and they are not wrong. Brutal Poodle is a fun themed bar- all metal, all the time- with some to die for dishes. Previously I have had their grilled cheese and well, it's literally the best I've had. This time, I gave their Mac and cheese a try- this was amazing as well. I don't know what they do to their green chili, but whatever it is they do, others could learn from them. Our server was very nice but also very busy. She accidentally overcharged us for a drink and it took a minute for her to see the mistake as well-all good though. Definitely will return here again and again.

We love the brutal poodle. Very Fun drinks and options , good deals and happy hour, delicious food with very large portion sizes. Flavorful dishes and not afraid to use some spice. I love the music here and the whole atmosphere. They have excellent service and it's near a bunch of our favorite places to go to like a vinyl shop and the creepatorium and more. Crystal has even found some things here for her good sensitivity and same for me (mine is corn hers is gluten)

Came to brutal poodle to watch the US World Cup game, grab a drink, and also try the gluten free chicken and waffles. Overall I'd say it was a pretty good experience with a couple mishaps. First off, the gluten free chicken and waffles were pretty darn good and I'd recommend them to any gluten free folks looking to satisfy that craving. The drinks were standard bar drinks, happy hour has $4 rail drinks. The first little issue came when I asked the waiter if a rail margarita would qualify for happy hour, he said yes but then when the bill came it turns out that the drink is $7 instead of $4, a small issue but still annoying. And while the big screen was setup for the World Cup game which was awesome, the sound in the bar was still playing heavy metal all night - so unfortunately we couldn't hear the commentary of the game. In general, it was a decent experience but it could have been a little better.

Slightly above average bar food. Kind of expensive for the quality but that's all bar/grill places. I tried the brutal burger and fries as well as the 2 step: chicken and waffles. Both were not bad. The chicken was tenders and a little salty but I liked the waffle and the fluffy butter. Fries were solid as well. My main complaint is about how salty the chicken was, in the moment it didn't seem overly salty but at night I couldn't stop waking up and drank two cups of water. Our server was pretty chill and nice imo. Even if you have paper ID, they require the physical copy.

Sweet spot!! Lots of gluten free options. I got the chicken and waffles - all gluten free of course! It came with this flavored butter that was amazing. The vibe of this place is legit. Lots of character, both by the service and in the decorations. We were just visiting Denver but would definitely make this place a regular stop if we lived here!

5 stars, because this establishment is just my vibe! I absolutely loved the warm welcome, metal music, and fantastic pork belly wedge! The wedge salad was executed perfectly with the pork belly being crispy, the lettuce being cold & crunchy, and the dressing offering that tang! I enjoyed the service and recommendations, this is such a fun spot to meet friends! You bet I'll be back!

This place is a staple for my family (me, my husband, and our 2 dogs). As elder emos we love the music and love the vibe! Very laid back and attentive staff with AMAZING food. I've eaten so many things on the menu and every single thing is an absolute know out! I love the man and cheese! I add green chili and fried chicken. Great food and drinks at great prices. Definitely come here

Love the vibe here overall. Fun place on South Broadway! Great to come here before or after a show or event! Excellent metal vibes music and decor and art everywhere. The staff is fun but also professional and attentive! Helped with recommendations for us newbies. Ryan loved his marg and I got the Lars Ulrich (which was also hilarious look it up when you go) my delicious sweet and pretty cocktail! We got the brisket sandwich and fries and split that and also got the dessert which was a banana cream ice cream and bread pudding dessert with Nutella. You guys it was so heavenly. We devoured every bite and drink! Perfect for us before going to the Creepatorium for a show ! Highly recommend and will be back again soon to try their other items !

Dive bar that plays metal, has amazing food, great drinks, and immaculate vibes Surprised at the amount of people that showed up on a Monday night. The bar area was basically full. For drinks, The bartender was able to use well tequila to make a delicious marg. The Gwarled Cheese is a must get. It was the best grilled cheese I've ever had in my life. There was cheese toasted onto the outside of the bread. And inside there's more cheese, pork belly, and tomato sauce. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. The tots were also perfectly crispy!

The Brutal Poodle is an awesome bar off S Broadway that has great drinks, great food, and most importantly blasting metal music! There are not many metal-themed bars in Colorado in general but this one does it right. As a metalhead myself, it's always nice coming here and socializing with fellow metal lovers. If you're feeling uneasy about checking this place out, you really shouldn't. Everybody is super welcoming and nice. Another reason you should check this place out is because Ben kills it behind the bar. No matter how busy it gets or how much help he has, or doesn't have, he will make sure to take care of you. They also have a decent sized patio to enjoy the nice weather outside or to soak in the weekend night air.

Went to the nearby spooky coffee shop and noticed this place next door. As a dog lovin' girlie, I was instantly attracted to the place bc of the graffiti on the walls outdoor. We started with the eggrolls, delicious! I ordered the mean green salad and it did not disappoint. Friends ordered the brisket sandwich, devils lettuce, and the macaroni with chicken strips. We all tried one another's and they were all so good. If you're in the area, eat here! So so good :)

Would a group of 10 or 11 fit here?

Plenty of room but maybe call ahead!

Review indicates loud music... wife and I can't handle that.... Is there a best time to visit with minimal background noise?

I feel like they have loud music every time of day. I went in for lunch and the music was the same. Sit out back and you won't have that problem.

    Kid friendly patio?

So, they do have a kids menu but there aren't any kid focused things to do. But they do have a nice patio with cool pictures of poodles all over the walls.

    Do you have karaoke?

Headbanger Karaoke is Every Tuesday at 9pm!

    Gluten free options?

Yes!! The majority of our menu can be ordered gluten free or already is gluten free to begin with. We have a separate gluten free fryer, gluten free pasta option for Mac n cheese and gluten free buns for sandwiches. We can even do our chicken and…

    Are y'all kid friendly?

We went at lunchtime. There were no kids there. But nothing popped out to say I couldn't take kids there. It's great food and great atmosphere. Music not too loud like other places. I did not see any high chairs though.

Soooo is it just the name or are they dog friendly?

Hi Jackie, We are as dog friendly as we can be. Being a restaurant/tavern we cannot legally allow…

The prices on everything keep creeping up while the quality goes down. I understand food inflation, but coupled with declining quality I'm just no longer a regular customer anymore. The last 3 times I've gone, the fries were very brown on the outside but not overcooked, indicating the oil was old and needed to be changed, this gives them an off flavor that's not good. When done right, their fries are fantastic, however this is a regular issue now. Also, they changed their burger in the past year, something I used to order a bunch, but not at all anymore. It used to be a grass fed patty and now they call this a wagyu blend, but it's awful and tasteless compared to the old one. Additionally, their wings (for some reason only when getting to-go) are either way over sauced, sitting in a pool of sauce and thus get soggy or they're under-sauced. The issue with the oil is really what gets me though. I'm guessing they're dragging it out longer before changing it to save money, but they're doing it at the cost of quality and now they've lost a regular customer. I may revisit next year, but not anytime soon. Employees are relatively friendly and service is ok, ambience is typical of a wing joint.
