Lately I have not been impressed with Bazille. It used to be so delicious. I preferred when it was Nordstrom Cafe many years ago. Since it has been rebranded it is not that good anymore in my opinion. I have had the Chicken Alfredo on the kids menu. The French onion soup, and the crab bisque. I really enjoyed when the crab was the lobster bisque, the restaurant would give you quite a few chunks of lobster. Now the crab bisque is all right and is light on the crab. In the past I would eat lunch with friends and colleagues. Now I order to-go. The quality just isn't there anymore. I was recently surprised to find out that the restaurant serves desert. They have crème brûlée on the menu and that is my favorite dessert of all time. The service is good. The restaurant is nice and clean. I like that it looks over first Avenue, but the quality just isn't there anymore and I'm not impressed. If you are hungry and want someone to-go be my guest. read more

Great to discover this hidden gem inside Nordstrom's in the Cherry Creek Mall. It reminds me of a hotel restaurant in the sense that they're guaranteed decent traffic and they don't have to try too hard. Like, "We're in a department store -- where else are you gonna go?" The food is excellent, but the presentation was a bit careless. The staff is friendly, but very casual in an otherwise classy place. Biggest drawback: they refuse to validate parking, which tacks a few dollars on to the bill. Overall, a great find. Will come back. read more

Located in Nordstroms, this place was suggested by my friend who lives nearby. We enjoyed the salads, which were well plated and delicious. Service was great, I had the Asian glazed chicken salad which was fantastic...if you're in the mall and don't want to go outside to eat, this is a great lunch stop and the prices weren't outrageous. Ok, first....I take full responsibility. I ordered the crab, avocado and mango salad to take for lunch the next day, but before ordering, I asked our server how big this salad is considering it was $23.00. He said it was pretty big and would be enough to satisfy you. So I ordered and left without even taking a look at what I had just purchased. What I got was about a cup to a cup and a half of arugula lettuce, three cherry tomatoes cut in half, 3 - 4 ounces of mango and about 2 ounces of crab meat; all for $23.00. Had a really fun, really good brunch there last week for my first visit to Bazille and was pretty impressed. Stylish setting in the Cherry Creek Nordstrom with a bank of windows facing the CC shopping district. Nice and efficient servers and very good food. We had--among other things--their crab bisque, deviled eggs and smoked bacon and egg pizza. A four star meal. Rich sherried-crab in a tomato puree bisque; a surprisingly large serving of over-stuffed deviled eggs topped with a nice thick niblet of maple cured bacon; and as Granny used to say about anything with smoked bacon combined with the word "pizza," "What could be wrong with that?" At the end of the week I needed to take my overworked bride out to a feel-good dinner. Looked for a nearby spot for what turned out to be a Friday night Denver Restaurant Week setting and I found out that for $35/per person Bazille had a table open at a prime dining time, whereas all my go-to spots in the area were jammed till late at night. So off we went back to Bazille thinking that we were in for a lucky treat. Turns out we were oh so wrong. We repeated on that crab bisque and accompanied it with a simple salad. Nothing wrong with the salad but this time the bisque was over-salted. Didn't think much about that since we were looking forward to what we thought would be the rest of a great deal of a meal. Uh oh. Turns out I'd forgotten Granny's other magic words: "Just when you think the world's a flower blooming specially for you that's most likely when you'll find out you're totally f%#k'ed." Ah Granny, how right you were. Had the flat iron steak frites and the gnocchi with lamb ragu as our main courses. The gnocchi was unremarkable but good. The steak and fries were remarkably bad. Requested rare (and asked whether the kitchen could do that where we were assured that was no problem) the meat was cooked medium to medium-well and was grisly. The fries were tasteless. My wife didn't complain (which we should have done but which I didn't know about till the end of the meal) but the kitchen shouldn't be making that much of a mistake. We finished the meal with two desserts. One was well prepared (the crème brulee) but the other we did not enjoy (the bread pudding which some people seem to love). So that left us disappointed, having had a meal that was meh, at best. Looking back on those experiences and averaging the good to very good meal with the bad to very bad meal left me thinking that a 3 star rating was the right result for Bazille. Maybe the better rating would be to have given them two reviews, the first with a four star rating and the second with a two star rating. But that just seemed wrong given that whatever the second rating was would over-write the first review and leave the casual reader with a misunderstanding of the experiences we'd had. So Bazille, sorry to take up so much reading time of the folks who've stuck through this review, but my advice is to be more like your brunch and less like your dinner. I was thoroughly impressed impressed with my dining experience here. Elissa was our waitress and completely respected that we had a limited amount of time to eat, while also not rushing us. We ordered the chicken tacos, the Carnitas tacos, and the ceviche and all of the food was amazing. We were really happy that Elissa recommended the strawberry lemonade, which is seasonal apparently, made with fresh strawberries. We were even happier when she offered to go cups with our lemonade. One of the things that really stood out was that Elissa asked for the Carnitas tacos to be split on two plates, for my mom and I to share, even though we didn't ask for that. I was a solo female shopper and stopped in for some food. I ordered a glass of wine she checked my ID and never received the wine. When I asked the server to make sure it wasn't on my tab she looked at me like an idiot and said there wasn't. She stopped at my table once than the manager came over to take my order and never saw either again until my bill came. Felt neglected by 2 staff members... Bazille is my favorite spot to stop in for a solo lunch or dinner with friends after some good shopping. The food is delicious and the service is always amazing, even during a busy rush. Salvador has been our server multiple times and we always know we're in for a treat when we get seated at one of his tables. He always greets me with a big smile on his face and is so welcoming. He is super attentive, checks in frequently, and always make sure we have everything we need.He even remembers my usual order which really shows his commitment to his customers. Literally one of my favorite restaurants ever. Biggg fan of Nordstrom restaurants in general, but each location can be hit or miss. This location is certainly a hit! They make fantastic dishes all around. My favorites are the bolognese, the cauliflower margherita pizza (I'm gluten free) and of course the tomato soup. Seriously though, if I could have the pizza every day I would. I tried ordering it at a location in Pennsylvania when I was out there and it wasn't nearly as good! Bazille located inside Nordstom never disappoints! I've never been to this location but the service was great as always. Stephanie was wonderful fast and efficient she was taking care of 6 tables by herself effortlessly. Came here for quick desert and to my surprise they had the White chocolate bread pudding! Not all bazille locations are the same so I was very excited. the portion was not the same as the one in Miami it was much smaller but every bit as delicious warm and crispy! It was my fiancé's first time trying it and he loved it! From experience everything else on the menu is just as delicious you just can't go wrong. Price point atmosphere and service are top notch. The happy hour menu is really good too definitely check it out if you are in the area! read more

We asked for medium and got medium well/well done, did not have time to redo the order, but it's just a burger, hitting correct temps should be a given, especially for a $15 burger. We dined at Bazille today for my sisters annual birthday celebration. The Salomon Salad was over cooked and very dry, the soup of the day was packed with onions, very little broth and not hot. We were seated by the chefs grill/kitchen and it was very loud, not ideal for anyone hard of hearing. The crab bisque was wonderful but everything else was very mediocre. We had a very hard time getting our waitress to refill our drinks, and we were all surprised by the attire of all of the wait staff, blue jeans and t-shirts. The food was overpriced and regrettably we will not be returning. There are just too many places to eat to pay these prices for such average food and high prices. read more

The baked potato soup is to live for! Not only is it a great restaurant because of its menu and caring staff of hosts, servers, cooks, and management team but because it is a part of Nordstrom, a company that prides itself in customer care. Great selection of wine and the specials menu changes often enough that you feel like you're dining at one of the more trendy seasonally inspired restaurants. Plus you can shop, take a break to eat, feed grumpy kiddos wi the kids menu is awesome and then shop some more! read more
