My husband and I were out for a date night and decided to start at Monolith. I found street parking about a block away. We had a nice stroll to the brewery. I really like their inside and outside murals. When we went to order, Stephen Monahan introduced himself to us, as he was manning the bar at the moment. He is the head brewer/owner. My husband commented on them having a Roggenbier. Rye beers are not often something we find on taplists. This one, Roggen Roll Dude!, had a sweet that balanced the bitter of the rye. It was a collab between Monolith and Alley Brews. I enjoyed their German Helles Lager, EO's Dream. Solid, to style and refreshing. We like to also do tasters and discuss, so we got a taster of Nanner Nutz, a Peanut Butter Banana Stout; Vorpal Blade, Roasted Jalapeno/Serrano Ale and Lord of the Links, Smoked Sausage Stout and a collab with A Bit Twisted Brewpub. All were unique and fun to try. This is a worthy stop for some fun brews. read more

My wife and I stopped in to this very pleasant brewpub after taking our young puppy for a walk in Washington Park. There were a couple dozen people participating in a sushi making class, which we thought was a very interesting and entertaining activity for a brewpub. Their electronic menu board indicated that cooking classes are frequent. The very friendly bartender welcomed the pup in, and served my wife and me a very tasty beer each. Customers came over and greeted our little puppy and told us how cute they thought he was. A very pleasant trip to the pub all around. We'll head back for another visit the next time we're in the area. read more

While visiting Denver, my friends and I decided to visit a brewery, and Monolith Brewery was the one! There isn't a large private parking lot for Monolith, but about a block down from the brewery, there is a small lot between neighboring businesses that fits at most 12 or so vehicles. Any other parking would be along the streets. Upon entering, we were greeted by a smiling staff member who was readily available to assist in taking our orders. As we looked at their beer on tap wall, we were in awe of all the options available. I went with their flight of three: Foreboding Obelisk, Golden Roast, and Bavarian Contrarian. All had different tastes, where the Foreboding Obelisk was like a Guinness - the coffee taste, the Golden Roast was like a Blonde/ Golden Ale - which had a balanced and smooth taste with a malty richness that's complemented by a subtle hint of sweetness. It was an easy-drinking beer. The Bavarian Contrarian gave a smooth, crisp flavor with a delightful balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness. The ambience was very chill. There was plenty of seating throughout the brewery, and they also had some bar games at the back. It was fun to see the openness of the brewery system for the beer taps. Music is played on the overhead speakers, but it isn't too loud that it overpowers patrons talking to each other. They have multiple gender-neutral bathrooms that are kept clean and tidy. I highly recommend visiting Monolith Brewery. They have a variety of beers on tap and serve some food items. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely pay another visit. read more

We got a flight of their coffee beer, chili beer, peach sour, banana stout and smoked sausage stout, and they were all really tasty. The smoked sausage stout was particularly unique and delicious. Our service at Monolith was top notch! The bartender was very knowledgeable and welcoming which we greatly appreciated. The only downfall was that we didn't like the taste of the IPAs or Sour that we ordered. However that does happen! I'd recommend that you check out the place and see for yourself. I'd also recommend that the empanadas are heated more because the inside was cold. The atmosphere was fun that can fit a lot of people. They also had a cute dog walking around! read more

In Denver a couple of days and wanted to check out the well-known brewery scene in town. Don't waste your time at Monolith. Monolithic disappointment. Go to a real brewery. Staff should work flipping burgers. Place is strained. No sense of a beer operation, or true love of craft beer. Feels corporate. I commented on the head on the beer that was poured (see photos). He said it was a pint after the foam goes away (paraphrasing). He didn't do another pour, no apology. Total disbelief. Unacceptable. Go to a dive bar and have a PBR. I haven't written a review in a while. Everything has seemed pretty blah. Stopped by Monolith on a walk around Denver recently. Presidents' Day and bidding time before a flight and they were open. The attention to detail is noticeable as soon as you walk in. Seriously....from the tap Handles to the far reaching menu( if you can't find something to drink here you are the problem ), to the fact they carry the excellent empanadas from next door, Monolith was such a nice discovery. Breath of fresh air from the service to the excellent craft beer. Stop by, drink a beer and try your hand at the crazy game going on in back. Well worth it! read more

What a great place and Kyla was a sweet sweeto. I really loved my sour and both of the beers that my husband tried were really good. The atmosphere is really nice and warm and cozy. They have feather bowling in the back which I've never played before today, but it is a really fun game. Was walking down S Broadway and saw a new brewery that I hadn't hear of. Stumbled in & it was amazing !! The staff was so friendly and inviting. The beer was delicious !! Apparently this place just opened. This was my 3rd stop of 4 on my 27th night of my Denver brewery journey. The beer here was excellent. I got a flight and each beer was top notch. The taproom is big and the mural on the wall is great. The bartender, Sofia, was very friendly and welcoming. My time in Denver is coming to an end and I've only planned one visit to each brewery but I may just return for another flight before I go home. This new-ish brewery on South Broadway is really nice, and has excellent beer! We have been there a couple of times and love the place! They also have empanadas from Maria Empanada, which is a huge step up from the typical bar food (hint: the habanero sauce is excellent - too hot for me but my wife loves it).
