We looked online to see if Tyler's had their St Patrick Day menu, and score! We decided to visit the weekend before, on 3/14. The restaurant and bar were packed, but they had the outside area open. We were dressed warm enough, and sat out there and enjoyed reuben egg rolls, a corned beef sandwich, and corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. They did a fantastic job! We took a lot home, ordered some extra to go as well, and finished with funnel cake fries with caramel and fudge sauce. How can you not love funnel cake fries? I enjoy their seasonal sangrias, and look forward to sitting outside when its not 40 degrees. read more

The food is great, but I would not recommend this establishment. My card information was compromised after visiting, and I have strong reason to believe it occurred here. When I called to report the issue, management was dismissive and showed little concern. I was told I was likely "hacked" and that there was no way to prove it happened at their location. The manager also told me to contact my bank to get my money back, rather than addressing the situation on their end. I was then asked what my goal was in calling, which felt very unprofessional given the circumstances. What started as a fun night turned into a financial headache. The food was enjoyable, but I would strongly advise others to be cautious when using their cards here. read more

Heard the patio was nice and decided to come for dinner. Ordered the nachos with chicken and the tuna for an appetizer and a few drinks to start. The nachos came out hot and were very good. The tuna was just eh - had a strong fishy taste. For dinner we ordered the Shrimp and pasta salad and the Inside out salad. Loved the pasta and shrimp with the Caesar salad and the Inside out salad was very good. . Our server was good , but why can't dirty dishes be cleared when people are finished eating? Tyler's is a great spot for apps and drinks! The outside area is big and spacious and the bartenders are attentive. The food menu isn't huge but they hit all the bases. The green beans were delicious and served with the best garlic aioli. The nachos were loaded and the shrimp pasta Caesar salad was odd but delicious. The only bummer was the hummus. Tyler's used to be one of our go-to spots -- we were there once or twice a week for years. Sadly, after our last experience it's clear their over served bartenders would prefer to be bar back bullies once their one or two swigs of liquid confidence start to hit. The young women (and day time male bartender, always wears a hat... sorry I don't know your names!!!) who work there are still friendly and competent, sweet, kind.... but beyond that, the service is subpar -- particularly from the male bartenders (the curly hair and tall one that seemingly always appears under the influence as is balding a bit) who seem more interested in stirring up drama than doing their jobs. A few weeks back, my wife was clearly over-served, and I chose to drive her home. The next day, I called the restaurant to make sure everything had been settled bc in the moment I honestly couldn't remember and, wanting to be responsible, I called to ensure no checks were left unpaid. I was told all was fine. Fast forward three weeks -- and three visits later -- and suddenly a bartender corners us, claiming a $40 tab hadn't been paid and that a server had to cover it and we needed to not only cover that (which we had no issues with - in fact we apologized for and stated we even called to try to rectify it) but also DEMANDED we tip because the management made them pay it all (our response was "okay cool - got it- we will, like we said the first few times"). Honestly, If that's true, why wait weeks and then confront us publicly instead of handling it like adults -- or better yet, through management? We were cornered at 1230am after leaving a movie by what could only appear to be two drunk employees, not even a manager. Further, the bartenders states, "yeah they wouldn't know if you didn't pay your tab?" So I guess we were wrong for trying to fix the situation immediately? I mentioned to the bartenders that I totally understand the dilemma and their displeasure and ensured they will be paid. Still, the balding male bar tender decided to proceed to tell me he's now mad at me for being upset, refusing to let the conversation rest. I, clearly not wanting to drink around this guy, then order a water. This really set him off. What really sealed it for me, though, was choosing not to drink that night due to how uncomfortable the situation had become -- only to be chastised by the bartender. He actually said, "I'm mad you're mad and now you're not drinking?" It felt like pressure to drink just to appease his ego -- completely inappropriate and wildly unprofessional. To top it off, the substance abuse issues among some of the male staff are impossible to ignore at this point -- the erratic, confrontational behavior says it all. We're done with Tyler's. No amount of nostalgia is worth dealing with a toxic environment like this. read more

Went to Tyler's for the first time tonight. It was a not to busy Sunday night, yet service was still terrible. Our food came out before our appetizer, so we had to cancel the appetizer. Didn't make sense to still have a cold appetizer come out after hot food. Also, the waitress, Morgan, didn't come back to check on us and I needed more napkins and more water. She never refilled the waters. She didn't even ask when she came back to clear the table even though the glass was empty. As for the food, it was average at best. The fries (which are sweet potato fries as I guess they don't have normal fries) were not hot and limp. Don't recommend unless you're just going for drinks and hanging out. Seems like it could be a good place for that, especially with their outdoor seating. read more

Just had lunch at this establishment and the food was nothing to write home about! I had a chicken sandwich, and the cutlet was so overcooked that the breading crumbled off, into burnt pieces! Just ordered my lunch take out today as I liked their food in the past and haven't been there for a while. Completely blown away by how poor the portion is (I feel it's too generous to call the size poor...) the scampi is barely less than half of the tray - for a moment I thought they mistook other's left over for my meal. I called the restaurant and they told me this was their normal size and it looked poor in the tray was because the tray was "big". For the same price I paid ($19), I can easily get 3 times as much from Cheesecake Factory or Big Fish. Edit: after discussion with my wife, we changed the review from one-star to two-star. I haven't been in the bar for years. Evidently a female bartender and her sidekick don't like me. I have been going there since it opened and never had any problems. I asked the GM and owner what I did to offend them. They both came back and said there was no issue. Seriously. I would have an empty glass in front of me and those two terrible bartenders walked passed me. No hello, thank you is in their vocabulary. Thinking the male ? bartender would answer me honestly what I did rude to him he folded like a tent. If I ever said anything bad in a place I've been spending money for 30 years I deserve an honest answer. I'm man enough to apologize for any mistakes I've caused. Crazy thing these two self entitled bad bartenders were once fired and six months later were back. I know when someone gets fired there is a reason? I will not name the people involved yet. I like Tyler's- been going there for years. The food is good- pub food. Service has always been good. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the nachos and the quesadilla are drenched in this terrible orange sauce- chipotle aioli I think is what it's called- and it's absolutely awful. We ordered take out- nachos and Quesadillas and so the entire meal was pretty much ruined because of this sauce. Maybe some people like it ....but if you go there and order these items I suggest getting it on the side. 4 of us shared the food and we all thought the sauce ruined it and it was disgusting. That salmon entree made me stick around though ! Through every time I got bad service , I couldn't stay away from that damn salmon with Spanish rice and avocado crema . I'm talking , $50 a day just cause my other half & I couldn't stop eating it everyday ! They've gotten better & I come pretty often now . (The chili ones are my favorite) The only thing I wouldn't really recommend is the crab cake entree cause everything is kind've bland , but the crab cake sandwich is pretty good ! Tyler's is just okay; no egregious issues, but also not memorable in any way. What keeps it alive and even crowded is decent happy hour prices and the fact that it's open late in an area that has very little else going on past 8:00pm. I've been here a few times with friends and service is consistently slow, even to just get a bottled beer delivered to your table. Servers seem a bit clueless as to what specials are happening and what beers are on tap. Sometimes they stand around talking to their friends, and more than once they've plopped themselves down at my table and and expected to hang out with us rather than, you know, taking orders and serving customers... very odd. There's a good beer selection, but it can be a little bit pricey if you don't stick to happy hour or drafts. Similarly, the food is way overpriced for what you get, and just generally isn't very good. I wouldn't be surprised if everything was frozen and microwaved to order, or else poured directly from a bag or can. If you stick to beer it can be a decent place to hang out with friends, as it is attractive and well maintained inside, but there are better places around town. read more

Attended a party in their banquet room this weekend. First the room was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Had a rustic but classy look. Loved the natural wood doors and centerpieces (which were provided by Tyler's). The food was delicious. Meatballs, chicken, roasted potatoes (my fave) and green beans. Also had a chocolate fountain which was a huge hit with everyone young and old. Service was exceptional. Staff was friendly, helpful and cleaned up quickly and quietly. Would highly recommend them for holding your events. Great experience. read more

The last few times we have ordered takeout at Tyler's it has been terrible. Items are always missing from the order. When you call to complain they tell you to bring it back so they can see it. Who is wants to drive all the way back after arriving home and opening up the bag to find out it's not all there. This is a recurring issue. Customer service is terrible! read more

Our family had an evening meal around 5 PM. The server acted like she didn't want to be there. No smile or any warmth in greeting us which continued through our meal. My meal was a Rubin sandwich. The meat was tough and chewy. I had to eat the whole piece of meat when I took a bite out of the sandwich half. The French fries were soggy and greasy. The meals were served quickly. My boyfriend and I frequent Tyler's pretty regularly. They have a good selection of drinks, especially beer, and the food is great - I highly recommend the quesadilla, which I end up eating every time I go! Later at night it gets to be more of a bar than a restaurant which is when we prefer to go. There's usually a decent crowd but not so busy you can't move and the music selection is pretty good. I do want to clarify that, although the food was mediocre, it may very well have been enjoyable had our service been better. Our server, Morgan, was inattentive to put it kindly. My better half ordered first and she clearly stated "as an appetizer, we'd like the hummus platter". After we completed our order a decent amount of time went by then, hello, there's our entrees! When we stated we never got our appetizer the young lady that brought out food out said that the hummus platter was never ordered. I see a lot of reviews that I am confused by. I have made two trips there and have had nothing but great experiences. First time I went with my wife at dinner time. Walked in and were seated outside by request. The beer selection is really good, and they had a 3 craft beers for $10 special. Good selection on the menu too. Service was quick, I got the Cobb salad and my wife got the BALT with the fries. Food came quickly, was really good. The salad was huge and very fresh and tasty, I was actually surprised by it in a good way. Server was very attentive, helpful and I was impressed with the place, and had lower expectations based on reviews Second trip, I went with a couple friends after the casino and they had the grill open at 1030 pm, full menu....HUGE BONUS!!!!!! So we came in, they have the bar area, it was 90s rap and hip hop, and a pretty big group hanging out. Dining room was open for sit down. Again, server was right over, got our drink orders, came back and took dinner. I had the Reuben with fries, my buddy got the BALT with veggies, other friend got the soup and the pulled pork sandwich........The best part about the fires, that I didn't know when my wife got them the first trip was that they come with free refills!!!!! So.......I was hungry and looking to get some booze saturated. The fires are really good for that, and they taste awesome which is a huge bonus. Again the food was hot, fresh, taste great. Tyler's doesn't know what it wants to be- a bar or a restaurant. It isn't in the right location to be a true bar, but yet most of the limited menu is bar food. They only have four entree-menu type foods, and most of them are ridiculously priced. I had their calamari for an appetizer. They were very good. They were crispy and the marinara sauce had a nice spicy kick. But my main meal, a buffalo chicken flatbread, was pretty bad. Very little chicken, just a lot of tomatoes, lettuce, and bleu cheese crumbles. I only ate a fourth of it. Overall, Tyler's wasn't bad, but definitely not somewhere that I'm clamoring to go back to. read more
