They send out 16 hours prior to appointment and then state you need to contact them 24 hours before hand to cancel or be charged. Also the phone system doesn't tell you their hours. So when you call waiting to talk someone it continues to ring or press 1 to leave a message. 80% of time that message is never returned. Dentist told me to come in for another service and front desk told me no. 4 months later they requested I be seen by the dentist.

Despite this, my entire half day was wasted before they completed my cleaning. Six months later, I returned for my scheduled appointment only to be told I had to complete the same small X-rays or "take my business somewhere else." although they already completed panoramic X-rays. They wasted my time at both appointments, as if I didn't have work or other responsibilities. The lack of professionalism, communication, and compassion was extremely disappointing.

I left my last dentist because she does not accept Medicare Advantage. I do have gum disease, however, my pockets have been holding steady at 5's for the last 20 years. Is it a coincidence that within one year of seeing this hygienist, my pockets have all of the sudden increased to 7's? I guess I'll never know the answer to that. My last appointment with them was for a cleaning in October of 2024. During this appointment Yer Lee (the hygienist), pierced my lower lip with her dental tools. It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks for the swelling to go down. Her reaction to the piercing was: "It's ok". My reaction: "No it's NOT OK". She also smeared fluoride all over my teeth (even though in my last appointment, I specifically stated that I don't want that treatment. After researching it, I found that the ADA states " Fluoride must be ingested, topical fluoride is ineffective". Plus, I have a bridge for my upper 6 teeth (i.e. they are fake teeth). Yer Lee is obviously not smart enough to realize that fluoride, even if the ADA had thought that it was effective, can NOT be absorbed by fake teeth. When I called to cancel my next appointment and ask that my dental records be sent to my new dentist, the office staff wasn't even curious as to WHY I was leaving their facility for another. Her attitude was almost as if they get lots of these requests.

Dr. Riley Bosh analyzed my situation very thoroughly and made me feel completely at ease. He logically went through the various symptoms and not only did x-rays and a cold test but several other procedures to make sure he came up with the right diagnosis. In the end, it was an adjustment that had to be made to a recent crown I had done in Atlanta where I live. I wish I lived here because Dr Bosh would be my new Dentist. But as the kids got older, something shifted and I did not feel the dentists (or billing) cared about their patients. What pushed me to write this was that my daughter had a tooth that wouldn't come out. So we made an appointment to have it taken out. Our regular dentist wasn't available so we saw Dr. Bobbi. Dr. Bobbi was so disrespectful to my daughter who is 12 years old. Not only did she put down my daughter's feeling about wanting the tooth out (Dr. Bobbi told her to just wiggle it out, which she had been trying since Nov. and my daughter was sick of it and wanted it out), she also told her she shouldn't be allowed to brush her teeth by herself because she had plague near her gums on the side of her mouth where her loose tooth was. My daughter cried in the car after feeling like a baby because of how the Dr. spoke with her. We just recently got the bill and found out from the bill that Camp Smiles isn't in network for us anymore. When we went for the visit, they took our insurance card and didn't tell us that MetLife is out of network, after asking if our insurance is still in network. This just was upsetting because companies like Camp Smilies should know what insurance companies are in-network and if they had questions to check before the appointment, since I specifically asked. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Coming straight from your billing departments, you do not offer estimates as you don't have access to all insurance billing plans. Please don't share information that isn't accurate regarding billing. We also had issues with their billing when my son turned 12 years old. They billed our insurance as an adult. Our insurance wouldn't pay for his cleaning because he was 12 and wasn't covered as an adult. There was a lot of back and forth, which Camp Smiles said was in their policy to charge for a full adult cleaning for a 12 year old, but I was never sent that policy after asking multiple times. My recommendation is to find a different pediatric dentist. This one will just give you headaches with billing if you have children older than toddler. And do not see Dr. Bobbi. I don't feel like she should be a pediatric dentist with her "chair side" manner.

I understand policies exist, but a little flexibility or understanding in situations like this would go a long way--especially when the locations are so close and confusion between them is probably pretty common. He said he wanted to consult with my dentist there and come up with a plan. Two and a half weeks went by so I called to make sure I wasn't lost in the mix. A polite lady said that they had been on vacation and that she would leave a note for them to contact me asap. 6 weeks went by, nothing. Screw them. I went to NUVIA in Roseville and got it done. Also my wife went to Col Hgts Dental and said the clinic was dirty. STAY AWAY FROM COLUBIA HIEGHTS PERIOD!
