After using Park Dental for several years, I went in to have me teeth cleaned last week. My cardiologist had told me to tell my dentist about my previous heart attack. Very up to date and modernized. The lobby is typical but comforting(yes like everywhere else the have a fish tank). One pleasant surprise is the lack of latex scent. One of the few places that isn't using latex glove febreeze I guess. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I have a very severe anxiety of dentists and what not but they have strives to make me as comfortable as possible. Park Dental was the host of my worst experience with dentists, by far. Like many people I have a general trepidation when it comes to people poking sharp objects in my mouth, so I strive for being the best patient possible - staying still, helping out when I can, answering questions honestly and so on. Unfortunately the same courtesy was not afforded to me. The dental assistant assigned to my dentist was rough and continued to be more interested in what was going on behind her than focusing on her work, resulting in spraying my face with water several times and painfully jabbing her metal suction tube into my gums. As though the experience weren't uncomfortable enough already. To add insult to injury, the dentist who was working on filling my cavity sliced open my gum not once but 3 times. To my horror, she dripped blood all over my neck and face and continued to work until her dental assistant suggested she get a new lab coat, as hers was quite messy. While the administrative assistants at Park Dental were very helpful with resolving issues with my insurance, I would not recommend their services. I left without so much as an apology for the discomfort and unnecessary pain. In my opinion, their dentists are unprofessional and careless. Ultimately it is the patient who pays the price. read more

I was very satisfied with my care. Procedure was explained well before starting and I was made as comfortable as possible during the time the work was being done. I never like going to the dentist, but this was made as comfortable and pain free as possible. The scheduler messed up my first appointment time & when I arrived late because of it, there was no time for my cleaning. I made another appointment to get the cleaning done with the cavity repair, I have the reminder card with the schedulers handwriting stating time/date & that cleaning & fillings would be done. I received a reminder call for the wrong date. When I called they didn't recognize my initial appointment even though I have hand written proof! They tried to make me reschedule or split the appointments in 2. I will not be going to them again! I have never written a review for anything before, but I'm furious that a professional office can be so inconsiderate of their patients time. read more

Maple Grove Park Dental has provided great dental care. Dr. Pumper and his team are very accommodating, caring and provides very thorough examination. They were able to get me in on the same day for tooth pain. Overall, I have had great experiences here. Highly recommend this group. read more

I wish I could comment on the dental care provided, but I never even made it past the ridiculous scheduling process. The scheduler gets points for calling me back within 2 hours after requesting an appointment online and for being nice. I'm not sure, however, if it was her incompetence or the hoops they make her jump through, but good Lord! We literally spent 20 minutes on the phone - her explaining to me that the dentist needed to have an initial exam and the cleaning would be separate. I said, absolutely understandable, I just want them to be back to back so I don't have to come in for an exam and then leave without anything being done and then come back for a cleaning - something that I have actually never had to explain or think about at any other dental practice I've been to. Apparently, this is an insurmountable scheduling request. In the end, after 20 minutes passed of getting nowhere in "schedule land" I finally said, don't worry about it, I'll go somewhere else, please delete my information. "Ok thanks! It's deleted" was the response... Not a good first impression - my search continues, unfortunately! read more

Wish I could do zero stars. I had nothing done but my husband did. Towards the end of his treatment I kept hearing "next visit we need to do this in your next visit....let's try for before your trip" This dentist also wanted to pull my husband's wisdom toothed which there wasn't anything wrong with. Just an extra tooth. Nothing wrong with it LEAVE IT ALONE !!! I'm in the back of the room in tears wondering where the hell were getting the money to pay for this. Also.... I'm still having a hard time understanding how someone could ruin TWO perfectly good healthy teeth to fix one. Every question I had for the dentist I could tell wasn't sitting well with him (oh well. A good dentist wouldn't mind a patient or a spouse's questions. Means they're very interested in what's going on). By the time they were done doing what they were doing to my husband we sat in the exam room for an extra 30 minutes while the dental assistant entered stuff in the computer. Something we didn't need to be in there for. We could have left sooner. !!!! (waste of time). Onto when we're actually allowed to leave. We were given a bill of $1000 more than what were told it was going to be!!! I cried even further. I was FURIOUS !!!!. I've tried to be more calm about this all but Everytime I think about the medical visits I gave up for myself not to mention after this debacle I could no longer afford to pay for the remainder of my vacation because of this. My husband is lucky enough I have a big enough mouth for the both of us. Since then I've been in contact with our dental insurance to which they informed me for what we left the office paying we should only have had to pay $1700 and not $2700 !!! A way to avoid that would have been for them to get a PRE AUTHORIZATION!! Imagine that. No instead we were told $1700 and left the office paying $1000 more!!! Cost me the honeymoon i've been waiting a long time for as well as future medical visits to my own doctors. The sad part is I now have to wait for all this to be resolved. Once my husband gets back from his business trip were going in but not as patients. We're pulling ALL our dental records out of here. MN law says those records are OURS like it or not we're taking our medical and dental needs to an office that doesn't miscalculate to this degree !! To make matters worse I get this freaking bill in the mail that says we STILL owe over $1000 !!! I talked with the insurance company...to this day they STILL haven't recieved the claim. I think something shady is up when we're told one thing & then get presented with a bill for $1000 more than what was indicated. All this could have been avoided by doing a ..... PRE AUTHORIZATION !!!! DO NOT GO TO PARK DENTAL MAPME GROVE !!! THEY'RE THE WORST!!!!! NEVER AGAIN !!! read more

I have been going to Park Dental forever, and over the past few visits to the Maple Grove location I have had to wait for excessively long periods of time (after my scheduled appointment time) to be seen by the hygienist. Today was over 25 minutes! My previous visits have been anywhere from 10 - 20 minutes. I visit the dentist over lunch so I don't have a lot of time to spare. Needless to say I will be looking for a different location to visit in the future. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had. First of all be aware they treat you how you look. The day of surgery i asked them if I could get some restrictions for work, I was told that I didn't need them. Monday come along and i called them to get a note for work since I was in a lot of pain. I had to call twice about it and was told the doctor was too busy, and when he had a chance he would get back at me. I recieved one day restriction regardless of the pain i was in. I was only given ibuprofen for my pain which didn't do much. I also over paid them. I was told the procedure would be about 800 to 1100 max. The day of the surgery it endend up being more than i had expexted. 1280 to be exact. I asked Robin if my insurance had covered anyhting amd she assured me that they had and this was my responsibility as a patient to pay. A week went by when I recieved my Explanation of Benefits from my insurance, and sure enough i found out i have over paid them. I called them and they said they couldn't tell me much since they were still waiting on insurance for other details. I called back a week after and they told they would get on it right a way. I called again a week later and they said they were working on it. I called again a week after and said it was mailed. Two weeks after all this back and fourth I have yet to receive my money back. I have asked to talk to a supervisor or a Human Resources and haven't received a call from them either. I don't recommend this place at all. Please go somewhere else. read more
