King bedroom in junior suite (room #616

Service: 5* Ambience: 5* Food: 5* Price: 3* Stayed in a junior suite (room #616) during a meeting. The room was very well proportioned. Ample living room space which was comfortable, cozy, and relaxing. The bedroom was very nice as well, very comfortable and well sized. The bathroom was huge! Wet shower and bathtub area that was nice and great small walk in closet. The air conditioning worked well (other than my first room #630) and it was very comfortable to enjoy my time in the room. There was a comfy chair, c@a more rigid couch, and good desk setup in the living room area. I would return.

My first time staying at a Park Hyatt hotel and glad I stayed here! I'm a Globalist and they graciously upgraded me to a park junior suite and provided a rollaway bed at no charge too. The front desk clerks were all so friendly and just knew we were going to have a good stay. The Junior suite was very modern looking and was very happy with the room. They even stopped by later and provided us some chocolates. There were two bottles of water in the room and after we came back from dinner in their lobby restaurant, they provided us more water! Their bathroom like many have reviewed here is so neat. That shower is huge but it is way too open though. And some of the tiles were broken. But one thing the echo in the bathroom is quite loud, meaning you will hear every noise in the bedroom or suite. An enclosed room for toilet would help remedy this. Smaller tv and like it can swivel between bedroom and living room. Be cool if their window drapes can open and close with a switch but it's manual. Gym and pool you have to take elevator to third floor and then take the stairs. Pool is very nice and is a saltwater pool and has a large hot tub too. It's a nice space. See my dinner review Blue Duck Tavern located inside this hotel too. There is a CVS and Walgreens around the block if you need anything.

The best hotel I've stayed at by far! Upon arrival, we were upgraded to suite, which entailed a living room, a bedroom, a walk in closet/bathroom combination, and tons of complimentary perks, including slippers. I received a text message also from the concierge people letting me know that I could request anything or ask anything via text to make the process more streamlined. I asked if I could be provided two spoons (for coconuts), and the next thing I know it, two spoons were sent up! What attracted me the most to this was their luxury feel and tea cellar. They have a variety of teas from around the world in their tea parlor. One pot can be shared with two people and you could also request honey. On Sunday afternoon, they also have afternoon tea with pastries and two tea pots from 3-4 pm. This place includes a jacuzzi, a pool, and a variety of study spots perfect for a relaxing environment. If you end up getting the suite, I highly recommend bringing a bath bomb! They have a great bath tub for a lovely evening for two. I'm definitely having another staycation here! This place, in terms of the hotel itself, beats Tyson Corner Ritz Carlton.

Loved staying here. Exceptional costumer service. You feel like you're walking into a regal art museum. Helpful staff. Used FHR benefits. Bathroom is wonderful and they even use Le Labo products which are top tier! One drawback is the bed seemed to be outdated and springy. Could probably use an update. Would totally stay here again!

This is a beautiful hotel that has an Eastern theme in the art and the restaurant and bar. It is located in Foggy Bottom and very close to businesses and Georgetown University. The staff were very pleasant and provided great service with my luggage. However, there are stairs at the entrance and did not see a ramp for the disabled and folks with a lot of luggage. That was a big downfall. The rooms are beautiful but the design of the bathroom was different. It is an open concept for everything. The shower/tub is completely open on tile floor. There are no hand rails, which made me very nervous about how I stepped in the tile floor (which was slippery with the soapy water). Also, the closet is near the toilet. However, there is a farmers door that slides to cover it, but it also is for closing off the bathroom. You have to choose one or the other, It was convenient for my conference, but for the rate, I do t think I would stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt. I felt at home during my stay. The staff was friendly and my suite was comfortable, clean and inviting. The bathroom design was slightly awkward but still functional. The hotel restaurant and bar are great options that you do not have to absolutely go outside of the building for good food and exceptional service. Valet service moves quickly although only thing to note is there are no available Tesla chargers due to construction however that may change. This location is great for neighborhood walking accessibility. Short strolls to coffee shops and shopping. Highly recommend this location.

I used my ResortPass for a swimming pool day and that was not really what I expected. The pool isn't big, even technically the capacity is 40 people. Only 4 pairs of deckchairs and apparently it's used for family water activities, meaning very noisy and wet. So there's no way to enjoy swimming, but there's a chance to get to the hot tub.

It was our first time visiting DC and decided to stay at Park Hyatt because of the famous restaurant Blue Duck Tavern. I have stayed at Park Hyatt in other cities and those stays were up to the 5 star standards. The DC location was really disappointing: Interior: carpets are stained and old, room 315's headboard is all beat up (see picture). Bathroom left side wall has some kind of kids graffiti? At this point, if you tell me I'm at a Holiday Inn, I would have believed it. Toilet seat doesn't seemed to be cleaned. Restaurant: we heard the breakfast was very good that it once had a Michelin star. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Dinner seems to be better with the butternut squash soup and bone marrow, the scallops were very good. Service: when we arrived at the hotel the staff didn't grab the door open as he was standing there doing nothing. The restaurant: we wanted to make a dinner reservation and called the front desk, he said he will confirm and call us back. Never heard back. So we called, he said the restaurant doesn't need reservation. Later on we got another phone call from the restaurant manager saying he has secured dinner spot at xpm. We arrived at the restaurant early and wanted to ask if they have any open tables to seat us earlier, the staff said they didn't see our reservation on the system and they are pretty busy tonight at the restaurant seating area. So she said if we wanted to sit in lounge (same menu). Sure, just eating at a super low table, I was too hungry to be picky. Another manager then came to our lounge table and apologized for the "system error" and said they can always accommodate us to a table. We were then moved to the dinning area. Happy ending and thanks for the accommodation but there were still definitely open tables when we sat and when we were leaving (too packed/close for Covid seating too). Amenities: spa was closed, jacuzzi was closed, but business center you're able to print for free. Bottled water is also offered at the gym. Sadly I would not come back unless all other hotels in DC is booked. For the $$$ and peace of mind.

That jetted tub was supposed to earn its keep. The room: genuinely beautiful. The technology: aggressively dated. The vibe: a 90s time capsule, complete with missing doorknobs. There was effort here, but it felt like the hotel was holding its breath, afraid any real investment might trigger the next recession. What they got right: The bellhops were fantastic. Warm, personable, fun. Truly the highlight. Most staff we interacted with were polite and willing to help, which made the gaps elsewhere even more confusing. What they got wrong (beyond the dated room and tech): For a hotel that loudly advertises luxury service, the customer experience fell flat. Outside of the arrival bowl of fruit, nothing felt elevated. Night two, we ordered pizza and planned a cozy Home Alone movie night. The technology made streaming impossible. Fine, cable it is. We called the concierge and asked for two plates. Just two. The answer was a flat no. We were told to walk down to the lobby restaurant and see if they might have plates "to spare." I'm sorry, what? The next morning, room service arrived... with someone else's order. It was corrected, but for a luxury hotel, that kind of miss is surprising. Housekeeping came through, but only halfway. The coffee and minibar were never restocked. In a suite. At a luxury hotel. This is table stakes. At 9:30 PM we stopped by the lobby circle bar. It was immediately clear the bartenders did not want to be there. I get it, service work is hard. Still, opening our interaction by warning us about last call at 11 set a strange tone. By 10:00, one bartender disappeared for 45 minutes. No refills. No check-in. No bill. Breaks are important. Coverage is also important, especially when you're selling a premium experience. Beyond the bellhops, much of the staff felt irritated to be present. Front desk to concierge, the energy was less "historic luxury hotel" and more "counting down the minutes." The hotel was also clearly prioritizing weekend tea and brunch revenue, to the point that the historic lobby was clogged with extra tables and largely unusable for actual hotel guests. Bottom line: this was not a luxury experience, and I would not recommend it. I'm only posting this publicly because I reached out directly to hotel management and never received a response. At that point, a review feels necessary.
