    Shrimp N' Grits
    Cierra L.

Decided to stop by and try this place out and was definitely not disappointed. It's small and cozy on the inside, it gives the vibe of a coffee shop/cafe and their staff were also super friendly. On to the food. We tried the shrimp n' grits and the salmon n' grits. Unfortunately my mom is allergic to seafood and clearly none of us read the menu properly but it wasn't anything a lil Benadryl couldn't fix. The shrimp, which are real gulf shrimp, and if they aren't then they could've fooled me. They were so good, cooked perfectly. The grits were creamy and the sauce was so flavorful. My only issue was that the paper wasn't edible lol. I can't wait to give this place another try. Not pictured was a strawberry matcha and southern pompom - which were both so good.

My goodness!! If you're looking for an absolutely scrumptious breakfast, try this quaint little coffee shop! When I tell you the croissant breakfast sandwiches and the shrimp and grits are to die for...BELIEVE ME! The young ladies who took out order were very happy to serve us and I could tell that they enjoy serving others. If you're in Gentilly or anywhere in the New Orleans area, check out Park Island View. In honor of my reviewversary lol I had to head back to Park Island . I was in desperate need of a pick me up and they had just what i needed. Service is always a 10/10 they're so welcoming and make sure to call you by name which makes me feel apart of their community. Today i ventured out and tried something new a white rose iced latte. Unfortunately they were out of rose but they did suggest a switch to lavender which was amazing. I added a strawberry cold foam and it was perfect. Every time i visit, it's always clean with good music and a comfortable atmosphere. I really enjoy coming here

Came back a 2nd time to try a breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint! This bagel was everything! So delicious and filling I couldn't finish it all and the tots melt in your mouth! Super cute business with kind and welcoming staff. This is surely a business I am happy to support. Check them out, you'll be glad that you did.

Back w| another love note to one of my forever faves in Gentilly!! I still order "The Blossom" for my daughter's namesake and that rose and lavender is the perfect combo in a latte-- floral but so balanced, I hope they never take it off their menu. They've also got a food truck that I've been eyeing for a long time now. It wasn't open when I stopped by *cue my dramatic sigh* but the menu looks divine. I'll be back soon to finally try. Never once been disappointed here, from the service to the drinks. If I'm in the neighborhood, it's a non-negotiable stop.

Looking for caffeine!? This is your spot. Located in Gentilly right across from the Fair Grounds. I've gone here a couple of times. Once for just a drink on a real sleepy morning, and another when I was both hungry and sleepy. lol I'm a bit caffeine sensitive so I may not be the best person to tell you about that but my drinks on both occasions had me wired! lol The Midoriya, which is matcha, oat milk, honey, and cinnamon was really good, as I am a matcha girl. Could've been a tad sweeter but I probably didn't need all that sugar anyway. My second visit, I got the Sad Boy Chai, that has chai, oat milk, espresso, lavender, and cinnamon. While I love chai, I hate coffee, so that espresso ruined this drink for me. I didn't think the taste of it would be so strong. I mean, I drank it because I spent my money. But it was like drinking beer, you know how it's nasty but you just keep drinking until you trick yourself into thinking you like it. like that LOL. I just won't get that one again. I do want to try all the others, though. As for food, I wanted something I thought would be quick, so I ordered a little bacon egg and cheese sandwich. It was fresh, the eggs were nice and fluffy, bacon, perfection. My only gripe would be how long it took. All food orders go out to the food truck and can take up to an hour. Will I be back? Yes! Absolutely! but unless I can order my food ahead, I'll probably only get a drink. Check this place out for yourself, and if you have time definitely get some of their bites. Everything looks and smells amazing.

Loved it! It's been on our list for a while, and we finally made it. It's a cozy cafe with breakfast items served from a food truck. The ladies working were very friendly, making sure to call guests by their name and greeting everyone who came in. Food and drinks were good. We ordered the catfish and grits, Nola bowl, lavender honey oatmilk latte, pompom tea, and an iced coffee. We'll def be back.

One of my favorite local spots near my school! I have yet to try their brunch but everytime I come in it smells SOOO good! My go to order is strawberry matcha with extra matcha! My favorite thing about this place is the service! They have always been so kind and fast!

locally owned gem offers a pristine, cozy atmosphere with a welcoming, refined ambiance. The staff demonstrated exceptional patience and genuine kindness throughout our visit. Service was impressively prompt, and the food was both satisfying and generous - so much so that I gladly took leftovers home. A wonderful dining experience that showcases the best of local hospitality. I've been trying to dine here for weeks now because they close at 3pm it's a great brunch spot.

The Sad Boy Chai is the best chai I've had in a long time -- I'll definitely be back for it! We tried both the hot and cold versions, and the hint of lavender was a nice touch. We also ordered the French toast with bacon, which came with blueberries, strawberries, and perfectly soft scrambled eggs. It was the perfect way to start my Sunday. The service here is always quick and professional, and everyone greets you with a smile.

Stopped by about 730 am for a morning pick me up and the barista was so welcoming and friendly. He helped me decide what I wanted by answering questions and recommending drinks. The vibes were amazing here, making it a great start to my morning. The Honey Cinnamon Oat Milk Matcha was amazing and my mom enjoyed her hot brewed coffee also.

Came here because I saw a blogger post an amazing review only to be rudely told they weren't open yet! According to Maps and Yelp, the hours are 7AM to 3PM. My husband decided to check Google and it does say the hours were changed last week. I was looking forward to trying this place out, but the customer service today has changed my opinion. When providing a service such as coffee and breakfast, timing is crucial and service is everything!

While waiting for a table at brunch down the street, my friend and I walked to this shop for a cold pick-me-up on a very hot Sunday. For a Sunday, the shop was completely empty - but the coffee we got was delicious! They were out of a few flavors and seemed to offer a very small array of pastries. However, the service was phenomenal. She was kind and chatted with us about books and recent events in town.

We ended up at the Metairie location, which ended up being very convenient since there is substantial parking right out front, which is rare in N.O. It's in a modern shopping center but still has that quaint feel of the original location. The staff immediately greeted us when we came through the door and were very attentive and knowledgeable. We were there just before the after school rush and timed everything perfectly. I was planning to get a different flavor this time, but I ended up with my old standby, Red Velvet. This stuff is so good it's illegal in 49 states. It's subtle and perfectly understated by the chunks of cake mixed throughout. It's what keeps me coming back. My wife got a scoop each of the Peanut Butter Cup and the Cookie Monster. Both were absolutely delicious, as I can personally attest since I stole a bite of both. All in all, I can't wait to go back. It was every bit as good as I remembered. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
