    Spicy Sausage Biscuit
    Kelly N.

Stopped in here on a rainy Thursday looking no for a comfortable place to do some remote work. I ordered my latter half sweet and it was well balanced level of sweetness and not too milky. The spicy sausage biscuit was served very warm which I loved and didn't taste plastic-y. The baristas were friendly and I really felt the cozy New Orleans neighborhood vibes.

It's hard to find good baklava around here so finding it in this little cafe was a pleasant surprise. It was perfect, too. Great crisp texture and perfect sweetness level. I also got a decaf blended coffee made non dairy. I think it was oat milk and I always appreciate when this is an option. Would definitely go back and probably will to try more of their specialty drinks.

This is a cozy coffee shop. It has a good amount of space, but it was packed for a 2pm afternoon on a Saturday. They have seating on their porch as well as outside. There is off-street parking and a few sets of stairs to climb to enter the establishment. They also have very clean bathrooms. They have a large variety of food for a cafe. And I liked the various flavors they offer for their coffees. We only had the coffee and I enjoyed it a lot. I had a latte, but it was thick and creamy, rich, almost like a thick chocolate milk. I consider this coffee as top 5 in this city with others like Mojo and Coffee Science. They had friendly baristas too.

Chicken sausage and egg on a brioche bun

Such a popular spot! My friends and I can for lunch and the place was packed! They have a decent amount of seating inside and outside, but with a lot of people it can be crammed. We were really impressed with the chicken and pesto sandwiches! The chicken sausage and egg sandwich was ok, I think it needs a different bun other than brioche. Their lattes were good too! The almond flavoring did taste very artificial in my latte, but my friends enjoyed their lattes. I'd come back to try other options!

    Mediterranean bagel & ice tea

I love the lox bagel here but lately I'm obsessed with the Mediterranean one. Good and quick service. Ambience is preety enjoyable, so it is nice to take my laptop and do some work there in the mornings.

Blueberry scones, ham n cheese croissant and goat cheese n spinach

Met up with a friend for lunch. Plenty of seating inside or if you are like me, I like sitting outdoor when the weather is nice. We both shared the Blueberry scones, ham n cheese croissant and goat cheese n spinach. Everything was delicious. The frozen Chai is a must also. Best to come with two or more person when ordering because we both were indecisive because there were so many good options. The croissant was cut half so we both got to enjoy two different croissants. Next time I would love to try one of their cakes. Service was great and fast.

The Bean Gallery roasts are always perfectly balanced and with Gracious Bakery pastries, they're even better. The line can build up but the baristas work it quickly like the pros they are. Easy listening Sunday morning playlist is a relaxing vibe.

    Community Bar in the back...

Great spot on Carrollton Ave to grab coffee, light bites and sweets treats. On busy days it is hard to get a seat inside. Service is great and staff is friendly. Love the community board and the neighborhood vibe of the coffee shop. There's also a nice variety of books and games for visitors as well. Mixed seating is nice - sofas, rounds, high top bars as well as outside seating for those beautiful Nola days. It's on my short list of coffee shops to visit when I just want to sit & chill out, enjoy the coffee and the view.

I've been a few times now. The coffee is fine. I enjoy the space and atmosphere. If you're vegan they have an avocado toast or bagel. I added cucumbers to mine and quite frankly everyone should be adding cucumbers to their avocado toast. I went recently and they have this delicious vegan brownie!

New to the New Orleans area, my friend dropped me off here as he was doing errands. So far I'm crushing on this quaint hang out spot. I ordered the frozen matcha and couldn't think of another beverage that hits the spot. I look forward trying other items in the future. Wifi and street parking available.

They are! I saw someone come in with their pup to order their beverage of choice. Then the pup and their human enjoyed the beautiful day in the Bean Gallery's outside seating area.

That is the bite you'll be thinking about and returning for. But don't sleep on the donuts either! Normally I'm not huge on donuts but that lil peanut butta cup donut with the whipped peanut mouse and chocolate ganache...yeah ima need that. It's perfectly balanced with the bitter chocolate ganache, and the light mouse. Obviously, after you're eating all this, you're gonna need something to wash it down. They have an excellent selection of coffee and teas, I enjoyed their chai latte, which wasn't too sweet for my pallet. We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.
