This should be renamed to "Hell n' Shop" because the "park" part is complete and total hell. It is always a nightmare driving and parking in this shopping center. No matter what time of day it is, the parking lot here is sure to be overcrowded and filled with people who cannot park, drive, or even walk across the damn street right. I never understood how such a large shopping center could have such little parking. The parking lot itself is just constructed so poorly. It doesn't matter what entrance or exit that you take to get into this shopping; you will almost ALWAYS be waiting and sitting in some kind of street traffic, struggling to get in and out. I've seen so many "almost accidents". I actually witnessed a real accident the other day because people just don't have the patience or they just straight up don't know how to drive. The pedestrians are a mess too; walking right in the middle of a speeding car and taking their sweet ass time to get to the other side of the road. But oh myyeee Gawd. The WORST is when... they just walk right in the middle of the damn road... the entire time. Just move your ass to the OTHER side of the road like a normal person! But I swear, they all do it. So, why do I keep coming back? Because many of my favorite places are located right here in the Park N' Shop. I am faithfully addicted to Shan Shan Low and I go there damn near every week because I can't go too long before I'm craving their Chinese food goodness again. Some other great places that I enjoy in this shopping center: -99 cents store -Ranch 99 Market -Kevin's Noodles House -Las Montanas Supermarket -Bobaloca -Rockin' Crawfish -Round Table Pizza -Sunrise Bagels -JoAnn's -Quickly -Burlington Coat Factory ... And those are just to name a FEW. So many great stores... not enough damn parking. But you know what? I keep coming back because I have no other choice. I just hope that someday they'll fix the parking lot and remodel the whole complex because it looks old and rundown. read more

I am a little positive biased since I love 99cents only, Frys Electronics, and any decent All You Can Eat Chinese Restaurant...which they have all 3. The small area is packed with a lot of stores. It was CCCountys first shopping mall. It even has a Church on site. Driving is a little dangerous, as many shoppers come out of their parking spaces in reverse all of a sudden. The other negative is the homeless, but I blame the police and the government at large for that, as there is no positive cash flow or money in dealing with the homeless......so nothing is done. The cops would rather bust a DUI, than put a stinky person in their car with no money coming to the Concord PD. Plenty to eat, also. The lot can at times get crowded, but it never quite fills up 100%. read more

I used to love this plaza. Because it has many variety choices until tonight. I finished dinner and walk around the back side of the plaza. I couldn't believe what I saw. There's a RAT CITY around all the garbage dumpster area. They are FOOT LONG RATS every where just free roaming around. . It is insane. I almost throw up what I just had. There are many eatery and market in the area. it is definitely a heath safety issue. BE AWARE! read more

In spite of all of the 1 star reviews, you are probably wondering why I am giving it four stars. Easy. You have to take Park 'N' Shop for what it is...and not whine about what it is not... Park 'N' Shop has many cheap, good restaurants. Namaste, The Mediterranean, Korea House, Saigon Bistro, several taquerias...all real good food. Sure, it is a total hood and a dump in general. Oh, Park N Shop - not an entirely accurate name. A more accurate name probably wouldn't fit on any sign. I don't know, how catchy is 'Enter N Drive N Dodge N Swerve N Panic N Park N Run N Shop'? But in the end, it's part of the experience, because this is a shopping center worth visiting. 99 Cents Only, Ranch 99 Market, Mediterranean, Korea House, Chick's, King Bagel, Starbucks, UPS, Burger King, etc. etc. and new places opening often! And 3, count 'em, THREE Chinese restaurants!! It's a multicultural tour, with literally a dining option for everyone, and options for bargains afterward. Fry's is tucked back here as well, though they do have a separate parking area that is far less precarious. This shopping center is quintessential Concord, no doubt about it! Ye who enter here, no need to abandon all hope - just be prepared for an adventure. Wear your comfy shoes, park in the boonies, and go explore! read more

Park N' Shop is not a typical strip mall. It is chock-full of restaurants, and only 4 of the 22 are chains. Add to this bounty: cleaners, tailors, a book store and lots of small stores. There is also more than one ethic market. I find Park N' Shop to be a vibrant strip mall and truly appreciate that it is older and does not have a cookie cutter look and feel that most of the newer ones do. read more

Any wonder it's averaging less than 3 stars? Three not four or five, 3. This is the black hole of shopping when it comes to Concord. Yes there's even worse places in already notoriously crappy Concord but this place masquerades as being something it's not. I've literally been in 90% of the stores there and you'd get better customer service from one of the overseas reps companies use for their USA customer care hotlines. All of them - McDonalds, Subway, Frys, Ranch 99 etc. and I defy anyone with a straight face to say they received 3 star service compared to other locations. You're begging for a fender bender, a rip off or some variation of a bad day by even being in the general vicinity. For what it is, Park and Shop is a great little out door shopping center with a bunch of cheap places to shop, and some great Mexican food located near the middle of the center. Talking about food there is also a Chinese Buffet, Burger King, McDonald's, and a Ranch 99. Now lets talk about the bad part of Park and Shop, which for me is the parking lot, even though park is in the name. Now I can usually find an parking spot that's not the problem, the problem is all the horrible drivers that always seem to be driving in the parking lot. read more

Despite having a few decent restaurants (Namaste, The Mediterranean, Mimi's Cafe), Park 'N' Shop is run down and naaa-aaasty. With all the renovations being done to downtown Concord, I'm really hoping Park 'N' Shop will get some attention. The worse thing about this strip mall? The traffic flow. This mall has gone downhill fast just in the last couple of years. Yes it's been run down and has vagrants all over but now there is about a 50% chance someone will break into your car while you shop. They do it right in the middle of the day with zero shame knowing even if they are caught red handed they will get a wrist-slap. One of my employees filmed them breaking into a car with her phone. Another problem for the the tenants is theft people grab an armful of stuff and just walk out Concord police are as useful as the security guards they don't even come out for that anymore just take a report over the phone. read more

BEWARE! DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS AHEAD I swear almost every time I pull into Park n Shop there is some crazy a$$ driver trying to run every stop sign. Pedestrians looking neither direction and people parking over the lines. It's a mess! I remember the Capri Theatre being a popular spot on one side of the plaza many years ago. I think it's a church now. There are several food spots in here and a couple larger stores for grocery, crafts, etc. I think it's a fun strip mall. Reminds me a little of the one by the Dome theatre. Though, this one is bigger because it's not all indoors. We enjoy taco-ing here on Tuesdays at Las Montanas, and I used to the the China Wall Buffet before Buffet City opened up the street. It is an active parking complex for a multiple businesses. Tons of people that have no idea how to drive or park obviously love to come here and cause congestion. But it is free and there are tons of places to experience. 99 ranch, goodwill, bobatea, asian foods, false french bakery... read more

I spoke with the security company yesterday, the manager was a very pleasant gentleman who took his time to listen to my rather petty complaint and gave me his support. He assured me he would speak with this lady and that she should not be confronting me again. This evening, she came straight to my car yet again. This time I recorded the confrontation and will be emailing the video to the security company. This lady is clearly abusing her authority and is a terrible example of this security company. Everyone else I have interacted with has been accommodating and friendly. read more

Even thinking about a future trip to Park n Shop gives me insane anxiety. There are some great stores within this shopping center. My favorites are: Joann Fabrics, Burlington, Shan Shan Lo (best chinese food in Concord) and that cute little Bakery near the end closer to MiMis. Most of the time I come here its for Shan Shan (they are that good). EVERY time I come here no matter what day, what time, parking is hell. There are people walking every which way across the lots, drivers acting like they've never seen a 4 way stop sign before (Ive seen 2 accidents in 10 years at that 4 way stop in front of Frys). Shopping carts and garbage strewn about all over the lot and HIGH amounts of transients and loiterers. I have seen 3 fights break out in park in shop in the same 10 years of shopping here. If there was more parking, better security for the junkies, and they could set a standard of cleanliness this would be a MUCH better place to shop. read more

So, this is the place that has the actual flavors in Concord. Authentic Mexican, Korean (so good), and Sichuan. Yes. It is true. The drivers are sloppy and careless, and many have terrible taste in music which they play quite loudly. But, again, you should not be here for the shiny new or Hardy Boys crowd. You are here for flavor. This is as close as you are going to get in Walnut Creek, Concord, Martinez, or Pleasant Hill. Now, this isn't the elegant western fare you will get at Wences. This is more like street food served in pleasant little restaurants. So, if you want something with a little more Anthony Bourdain to it, this is a good place to come. If you are a easily cowed or expect the crowd to be all the same, you should skip this place. read more

Sewer system fcking stinks. Driving by with the windows down in a car you will still be able to inhale pollution. And security is stupid af, giving people who work in the plaza tickets with their concord park & shop sign on Dashboard.. when the parking lot is full and you have no choice but to park in a 90 minute zone, at 930am the whole back lot was filled already (where they want us to park) . they expect to park in the last row facing the street but the last roll is already filled up with other cars, imagine in the afternoon everyone's out for lunch. No where to park and move when you're at work. The security guard told me, "it will be okay if you park under a sign with a permit". & I ended up with a ticket. I talked to "Bob" who I highly doubt his name is, stated what I was informed was "bad information". I wouldn't have parked there if I knew I was gon get a ticket, he suggested I take public transportation. He told me I had until the 7th of the next month (without a fee) to pay because of their systems. I wasn't going to pay but I called again to complain about my experience the week after to talk to some bich, she said I HAVE to pay in 27th or else I'll get a fee. So two misleading information not from the security but from their office as well. I called twice (dropped call) a few days later a familiar voice changed his name the next call. Busy weekends sometimes even has me parking at the very end of the pavilion & I have to walk from Saigon bistro to end of rockin crawfish, and i told one of the security guard my situation and he agreed with me on how I felt about it, and told me they don't expect us to do that. & now I end up with a ticket, really. -- and my other was option that they gave me was to park behind the stores but cars end up getting broken into at night, and sometimes in the day time. And if they are willing to pay for lost/ stolen goods window replacements which I highly doubt they should get their shit together. - edit 10/28 *p.s there's fucking rats at night time in the back, whaaaaaat the fu! Maybe they should hire some exterminators with all the money theyre making from their poorly trained "bad information" security guards. I go to Park Place Cleaners here. Also in the same building block are an Office Max, Starbucks and 99-cent store. In walking distance are a Jo-Anns, Burlington Coat Factory and Fry's. There are some other misc stores, including a Mexican grocery market -- got some potatoes there one day and practiced my Spanish. And to round it out are a McDs and Burger King. Who is trying to hang out at Park N Shop? Not me. I don't think I'd try any of the restaurants here. I'm there for 15 min to drop something off or pick something up and I'm out. The 4-way stop can be real stupid, but overall it's easy to get in and out of here. read more
