No matter what time of day it is, the parking lot here is sure to be overcrowded and filled with people who cannot park, drive, or even walk across the damn street right. I never understood how such a large shopping center could have such little parking. The parking lot itself is just constructed so poorly. It doesn't matter what entrance or exit that you take to get into this shopping; you will almost ALWAYS be waiting and sitting in some kind of street traffic, struggling to get in and out. I've seen so many "almost accidents". I actually witnessed a real accident the other day because people just don't have the patience or they just straight up don't know how to drive. The pedestrians are a mess too; walking right in the middle of a speeding car and taking their sweet ass time to get to the other side of the road. But oh myyeee Gawd. The WORST is when... they just walk right in the middle of the damn road... the entire time. Just move your ass to the OTHER side of the road like a normal person! But I swear, they all do it. So, why do I keep coming back? Because many of my favorite places are located right here in the Park N' Shop. I am faithfully addicted to Shan Shan Low and I go there damn near every week because I can't go too long before I'm craving their Chinese food goodness again. Some other great places that I enjoy in this shopping center: -99 cents store -Ranch 99 Market -Kevin's Noodles House -Las Montanas Supermarket -Bobaloca -Rockin' Crawfish -Round Table Pizza -Sunrise Bagels -JoAnn's -Quickly -Burlington Coat Factory ... And those are just to name a FEW. So many great stores... not enough damn parking. But you know what? I keep coming back because I have no other choice. I just hope that someday they'll fix the parking lot and remodel the whole complex because it looks old and rundown.

Which is not surprising, since we were there on the busy shopping day of the year. I got to do some other browsing at J Crew. It was a short trip overall, but I can easily see people spending hours here if they needed to do some serious shopping. Came here with family because they wanted to do some shopping on Black Friday. It was really hectic as you would expect. The parking situation was pretty crazy and it took a while of driving around and luck to get a parking spot.

The manager showed me a size 10 pair of shorts (mine were all size 8) in white and said I can exchange for this item. I asked him, if you still carry the product and don't have any other colors, why can't I just get store credit... you still sell the product.! His answer was, this is what I have... and I told him what am I going to do with the other 5 pairs...? I took my shorts and left. More valuable in a tax write off than shopping here! Seriously, if the product is still in your store, why could I not just store credit? Terrible service! Will not return!

There's a good mix of restaurants, clothing, and jewelry shops, most of which are high quality brands and the mall constantly stays fresh and vibrant although I do wish they had more restrooms outside of the ones below Industrious. Some weekends they have a maker fare or live music, but most of the time the fountain is just central to the comfortable seating area, that during the winter gets some decor for the holidays. All in all, I really do love this area and still find myself coming back year after year.

There was a period of time when I probably shopped at Broadway Plaza 1-2 times PER MONTH (now I'm stuck paying off my credit cards but that's my own fault and a separate issue). What was wrong with the old system? It worked just fine. But now you have to download an app to get out of the parking garage, EVEN IF you were there for less than the three hours of courtesy parking. It's absolutely insane. And even worse, there's NO cell reception in the garage (at least with AT&T) so you can't download the app without returning to the open air mall. Maybe that's why they changed things up? So that for people who haven't been to Broadway Plaza since before the app was rolled out, they might be able to charge for more time? It's unbelievable. And... you have to enter a bunch of personal information. Why do I need to download an app to pay for parking after I've already shopped at the mall, potentially pushing one of the tenants over their percentage rent breakpoint? It's outrageous. I don't mind having the ParkMobile app for parking because it allows me to park on many different cities' streets with little to no hassle. So I'm not anti-parking app. I am anti-Metropolis parking app. At least before, you got a time-stamped ticket so you knew exactly when to leave if you wanted to avoid paying. Now you have to remember to check the precise time you entered the garage, assuming it's even time-stamping accurately. And how do you know precisely where it time-stamps you? Macerich, do better.
