The atmosphere was lively & upbeat even though there were only a few customers on a weekday afternoon. The sports bar had R&B playing moderately loud (but no issues carrying on a conversation). I can only imagine the vibe may be different with larger crowds in the evenings/weekends. The menu is a QR code on the table. They have a large outside covered patio. Lots of TV's inside & outside. The salmon salad was very good. The salmon was cooked just right & very well seasoned. Nice size, generous amount of toppings (eggs, tomatoes, onions) such that I had toppings in every bite with my lettuce. The entire salad, dusted with a cajun seasoning, was a nice touch. Food was served in a metal plate with plasticware & plastic cups. (I'm sure the 'plastic' is helpful for managing the outside dining.) Chef Dee came out to check on us. She saw me taking a picture of my food & playfully said 'hey you gotta take a pic of the chef who created it'. Of course I took her pic!! On a very rare trip to Tomball area, I stopped at Park Place 249 for lunch. The restaurant is located in an older shopping center on a corner. As expected, a noon visit to a sports bar was almost certain to be empty. The covered patio is huge, equal in size to the inside dining area. There several TV's inside and out. The music in the background was great! I ordered mango habanero chicken wings that were great 5/5 for flavor but they were very small. My Cesar salad with shrimp 4/5 was very tasty with a little Louisiana spice dusted on top. The service was great and Chef D was a delight to meet. She came out to table to ensure we got what we wanted and was satisfied. So say hello to her if you get a chance. read more

We came to District 249 on a Thursday and were surprised by how busy it was. They had a steak night special, so we ordered the 8 oz baseball cut for $16, which came with a side salad and mashed potatoes. Everything was really good, especially for the price. They also had $2.50 Lone Stars on Thursdays, which was a great deal. A lot of people come for the crawfish and it looked so good. I will definitely need to come back to try it and maybe play some volleyball too. read more

We had a really nice meal and a couple of drinks with great service but were initially sort of confused if this was a club or restaurant. I think both? We came in on a Friday night around 830 and my purse was searched and the person I was with was frisked. Security carried guns. We opted for a hot honey chicken pizza and it was delicious. I loved the option to play a couple of board games as well. It seems the place turns into a club a little later but when we were there they had lots of TVs on for watching sports and great music playing. They also have hookah available. read more

Went with lemon pepper wings and fries, wings are wings but dem same dayum good french fries. For 12:30 PM on a Thursday with only 5-6 other people in the place the music was pretty damn loud. Service was interesting not exactly attentive and when they were around they didn't stay long enough for you to ask a question or make a request. However, i soon understood why the waitstaff has this culture...patrons are tipoers. The suggested tip amounts on the portable POS were 3%, 5%, and 7%....let me repeat 3%, 5%, and 7%..... on tickets that average less than $100 a table. I would be the most apathetic server as well with a clientele so bad at tipping you are happy to receive 7%...DAYUM. I left a standard 20% that the establishment makes these folk pool as well. So 3-4 people splitting my $11 tip this afternoon. Cray cray. Management has to do a better job of taking care of its people. The food and the live dj was a nice touch to a Sunday brunch; I ordered the lamb plate and my partner got the chicken and waffles. I thought the place had more brunch/breakfast options. The service was very friendly and nice. My only complaint would be eating the lamb on paper on a metal dish with plastic fork and knives was quite difficult, because eventually the paper got too wet and I started picking up the paper too. And plastic knives and forks are not strong enough. The lamb was tender and had a nice char. The Mac and cheese was a bit like pasta-y? It felt like Mac and cheese Alfredo, but it was still good. I come to Park Place 249 quite a bit, which is exactly why I know this is not the same place anymore. Let's start with the music completely off. No vibe, no energy, just random playlist nonsense that had the whole place feeling dead. We asked if it could be changed and were told management doesn't allow it. That alone tells you everything you need to know. What establishment refuses to adjust the atmosphere for their guests? Now let's talk about the bar... or should I say the waiting room. It took FOREVER to get a drink. Just slow, unorganized, and no sense of urgency whatsoever. At that point, I wasn't even enjoying myself I was just waiting. And the staff? Everyone looked like they didn't even want to be there. No energy, no smiles, no hospitality. When your employees look miserable, it shows, and it brings the entire place down with it. I've been coming here for a while, and it's honestly sad to say this place has gone downhill FAST. The vibe is gone, the service is worse, and the overall experience is just not worth it anymore. I love a good fight night, and this first time I went happened to be on my birthday. I came across this place on recommendation, and was immediately sat when we walked in. Our waiter was pretty and added a little extra spunk to great birthday for me! We ordered a hookah, a brown sugar old fashioned, a peach sidecar, & an espresso martini to start. We came here today for brunch for the first time, 9/10 for sure! Parking was easy, simple and free. We came around noon and it wasn't overcrowded or packed, which is a plus. We left around 2:45PM and it started to get a little more traffic but still not packed. The service was pretty decent. The cook and the owner (I assume) made their rounds to each of the tables to check in with everyone, which was nice. All of the staff were personable and professional. The ambiance gave comfortable, relaxed and social. Very spacious with tons of seating options. The music playlist was great and set the vibes! The food was so delicious! We probably ordered too much food but everything sounded so good. From the appetizers, we got the Dynamite Shrimp, the Boudin Balls and the Loaded Fries - everything was 10/10. For the actual brunch meal, we ordered the Chicken & Waffles and the French Toast Plate - I'll rate these meals a 9/10, only because the chicken was a little more on the salty side. Alright let's get into it. Popped up here after seeing an ad offering a Taco Tuesday special. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly and took a seat at the bar. After scanning the online menu I saw the happy hr special which was $8 premiums and $4 frozen drinks. Now this in my opinion is def a steep happy hr when you can find others offering you call it's for under $6 on Tuesdays. After talking with the bartender she shared that they don't really offer specials or a taco Tuesday. But since I'm here I ordered a drink, wings and sandwich despite the disappointment. After receiving my drink and food I was surprised to see that my wings were small and all flats which was not my request. Overall this place has potential looking at the design and updates but unfortunately this may not be around long. Due to the pricing i can imagine it's hard to create marketing or advertising that excites the public, hence the only 15 people there the entire time I visited.
